Jules and Matt are such a lovely couple and the home that they have created for their family in the beautiful Bay of Plenty in New Zealand is enviable. When it comes to family tiny homes, the way they have expanded the space using the cabin addition to create such a functional space for their kids is awesome. I'm a big fan of this design! We hope you enjoy the tour of this wonderful family home. Thanks for watching! With Love, Bryce & Rasa
I absolutely LOVE the drone view you include at the end of the videos when you're in New Zealand, If you could make those shots a few seconds longer that would be cool...it's such a beautiful country.
This is such a beautiful home with such a wonderful family inside of it. Their daughter made me smile throughout with her extroverted exuberance! So active and full of smiles and waves! And she’s already playing guitar at such a young age! It shows how much time they spend as a family, and why they are willing to leave all they’ve built. It’s time to take the kids to live near the extended family and to make memories with them. God bless them. What a wonderful video. It showcased how a tiny house can grow and morph to fit needs at all stages of life!
I think they have had the best period of their children's lives for tiny living, and now will enjoy more space and support in Canada, perhaps one day to return to something smaller when the children leave home. Such thoughtful, grateful, calm people. I wish them all the best.
PS Fridays for me, are “oh yay! It’s time for another Living Big In A Tiny House video!” This one was a great choice! A small and a big tiny house were connected to make a “just the right size” family tiny house!
They have a lovely place and I'm sure they have set some roots down in New Zealand. I'm here in Ontario Canada, and this family is living the life that many either dream of or live for the purpose of living this way and getting the hee haw out of Canada. Property prices, rules, food, everything, is sky high here, especially in Alberta. I would suggest, that if this couple is torn on leaving and haven't left yet, to stay put and take the summer months, here in Canada, to come back for a visit. Canada has changed alot, in the last four years, and I would think twice. Raise your kids where you are, where they will find life easier and better, at this time. Don't give up the life you have. Just my advice, from a fellow Canadian.
That is a lovely tiny home! We noticed there are quite a few in that beautiful area. It was great to visit Bay of Plenty and Coromandel area a couple of years ago.
If I ever got the opportunity to go back to NZ and stay, I'd never leave. Family would have to come visit me there. What a great home and a great family. Thanks for sharing!
My husband and I are both average tallish people not extremely tall and the higher countertops was definitely something we want to do in our build whenever we build our own space because low bathroom counters, and kitchen counters kill my back
I didn't realize how tall SHE was until he said he was 6'7"! This house is really good at mixing a light and airy aesthetic with touches of coziness (the wallpaper, the pop of green in the bedroom). Having the separate loft for the daughter is essential. It's probably just as well that they're moving back to Canada because in a couple of years she's going to need a place where she can close and lock the door to keep her brother out (I say this as a gal with a younger brother). Probably the best thing about living minimalist is when they do move back to Canada, they won't have to take much with them. It'll be interesting to see if they stay with tiny living in Canada.
Thoughts after 22 mins+: If only my family can rent or even buy their space when they finally head to CA,🙂. Perfect setup with the sleepout for our only child/son. Exactly what I have in mind though a bit different in desgin. There's a lot to note in this tiny actually. No shortage of storage from kitchen to bedroom & even bathroom. The outdoor space is another level though. It felt so peaceful just by watching the video. It's kind of sad that they're leaving but their stay there is all worth it with the all the humanitarian works that they've done. Great couple's perspective on contentment and intentional lifestyle/living setup. God bless them on their move back to their family in CA.
Yeah absolutely. A lot of thought was put into the design of this home and it works so well for them! I definitely got the sense they are sad to leave but no doubt what this couple do next in Canada will be just as epic!
@@livingbig I couldn't agree more. Thanks to both of you for showcasing relevant content everytime. Not only design wise but moreso with intentional, mindful perspective.
So impressed, I think they may have found a second calling because this design is awesome. Literally like a story book home that will create great memories. Love that the children have their playground. So sad though that you have to leave.
Lovely home - I really like that sleep out for the kiddies. But I am confused; I thought I detected a South African accent with Matt. He does not sound Canadian 😁
Woo hoo, Canadians! It looks like they’ve found a wonderful place to live. That spot is beautiful. I wish this family many happy, healthy years wherever they end up living. I would have trouble leaving that gorgeous site. I hope that they can afford to live in Canada. Thanks for sharing, Bryce & Rasa.😘🇨🇦
Genial.
They've built such a beautiful small Hohe's doing something I. Couldn't do I couldn't pick up my family like it and just leave. But the old saying to each their own.
Haha I wonder which one of them is the Pride and Prejudice fan! Naming their kids after Lydia Bennet (it could have been a coincidence but I hope it wasn't!)
When they get back to Canada, they should look up Fritz tiny homes, their homes can handle -50c going from tropical to -50c, why? was a legitimate question, LOL

Gorgeous family! Incredible story, and great choice! Bryce, I thank you for choosing this family, and showing their well-designed home to the world.
You're very welcome Levi! Glad you enjoyed this tour! 😊
Jules and Matt are beautiful people. I really love how they created their tiny house to include a walkway to their kid's room! Superb job!
It’s a cool design, right!?

This is a genuine slice of paradise. Lots of amenities for the kids. The children are living their best life surrounded by love..
So nice to see how the children are included in cooking as well as reading and play. This is my idea of Family❤️❤️
Been a while since I saw someone articulate both tangible and intangible benefits of living in a tiny home so well. Rasa and Bryce, what a great find!
Glad you enjoyed the tour and thanks for watching! ❤️
I love that their first project was the "benchmark" for their building journey :)
Beautiful home for a beautiful family😇💗
How blessed are they 🙌 Truly well done ❤

This is the life, guys.
As a Canadian, from Ontario, I wish we had access to this wonderful, alternate, lifestyle.
Welcome back home, guys.❤🇨🇦🍁
I’m also in Ontario & I agree with you.
I love how they made sure kids have their own space!
Can they adopt me? 😅
Beautiful house and family, this doesn’t feel like a tiny house at all!
It's a great set-up right!? I really like the addition for the kids. Gives everyone plenty of space!
What a beautiful and funtional home and lovely family. Much good luck to them on their next move to Canada.
You can feel the joy of this family watching the video! So refreshing and delightful. Exquisite home, I love that design.

Beautiful home with beautiful family. Thank you for sharing. Sending love to all from Ontario Canada. ❤️🎶🍁
My favourite tiny house, love the add on kids room, makes a tiny house so much more livable.

Such a beautiful house and spot. It is a pity to leave it. The best for the future adventures.
They have a well-laid out kitchen, its bigger than mine! Love the children's room and how the yard is well fenced in.
