  • We are back over Oak Island again, this time it is September 13th, 2020. Not much has changed since July, really the only thing that they have seemed to do was some work in the swamp, and drilling in the money pit. Stay turned to Jerr's Epic Vlogs for more Oak Island coverage!

    Thanks for the video. I sure had Oak Island backwards in my mind where the Money Pit was in relation to the Swamp. I had 'em backwards. So ya gotta drive PAST the swamp to get to the Money Pit and the Money Pit is on the end of the island farthest away from the causeway! Again, thanks for the drone footage. I'll start picking my lot out now!

      Hi! Someone wrote me last week telling me that, down in the U.S., History Channel is airing a 30-second promo commercial titled, "The Dig Must Go On" regarding a Season 8 which is supposedly starting next month. I have not heard of this commercial airing here in Canada. Sounds like Season 8 will be highlights, conversations on upcoming excavation strategies and recaps from past seasons, etc.... The border is still closed to ALL non-essential traffic, mandatory quarantine laws exist for anyone that does enter Canada and I wouldn't think that the Lagina brothers or Gary Drayton are up there. Please correct me if I am wrong. --- John

      johnwoa yes I have watched the season 8 trailer from the US..I’m not sure what to make of it, but from what I seen from flying over with my drone and being there a few times. Some of the people that live near the island said that there wasn’t anything going on until after July 7th and then there was a lot going on from then on. So I’m hoping there will be a season 8 this year, and not just recaps. When I was flying my drone I seen a film crew in July over past the swamp in a field for over an hour. I didn’t understand why they was in a field filming cuz there nothing there lol

      @@JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs Hello from Toronto! Thank you very much for the information and for that video link from the U.S. website for History Channel. I watched the video VERY CAREFULLY and I also don't know what to make of it. It doesn't look like any major multi-year "Big dig" is taking place to literally gain access to the cavern(s) below, seal off the water and excavate everything. I guess what it boils down to is if Rick and Marty Lagina and Gary Drayton are indeed in the Halifax/Oak Island Region or if they are not. All I know is what our News says about the border restrictions in light of Canada's COVID-19 crisis. Maybe you could "play detective" and find out if the brothers and Gary are "in the area". Also, I am curious if ROC Equipment and their CEO, Vanessa, are up at Oak island overseeing any excavations. Again, thank you for your replies, my friend, and also for your work up there in producing your videos,. --- John

    I just watched this week's episode of Oak Island. They are trying to say the stones in the swamp are an old road from early 18th century or even older. That is insane. You can see from this video that the rocks were dumped there and Billy spread them with the excavator. Look at the very few tracks in the swamp. If these were carefully uncovered, Billy would have had to have been in 100 different positions and there would be tracks everywhere. Not to mention, if you watch the scenes where they are uncovering this, it looks nothing like this in the swamp. The swamp is entirely torn up. Sadly, this is a fictional road concocted to keep people busy/interested during an uneventful Covid year. The show's ratings are plummeting and I can see why. (go to 5:49 in video and it shows it really well).

    EXCELLENT!..... Well done!..... Thanks for keeping us up to date on the "status" of Oak Island. I'm down in Toronto. I assume that the Lagina brothers, et at, are stuck down in the U.S. what with the ongoing border closure. A "VERY INTERESTING" view at 5:59 into your video where you show the water's edge and you can clearly see the steep drop-off of the seabed from the shoreline. This is relevant to the Oak Island mystery because sea levels surrounding Oak Island are steadily rising at the rate of approximately 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years (SOURCE: the Geological Survey of Canada, based at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth; circa 1990's). If the original depositors of "whatever it is" that is buried are ancient, that "steep drop-off" was probably above the mean high water line in ancient times and bathymetric maps made by said Geological Survey showed what appear to be two (2) cave/niche entrances that might lead to the cavern(s) beneath Oak Island. Those entrances and the cavern(s) would have been high and dry in ancient times. Of course, today it is all under water and inaccessible. Thanks again for making this video! --- John

      @@JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs Just saw the News today regarding Hurricane Teddy and that Halifax will be taking a direct hit from that hurricane in a few days. That will certainly cause problems/storm damage at Oak Island. Are you getting local forecasts where you are at and what is currently being reported and forecast. Thanks! --- John from Toronto

    • @JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs
      @JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@johnwoa Yes hurricane Teddy is going to be coming by here close to Nova Scotia on Monday night, or early Tuesday morning. The forecast is calling for about 30-40mm of rain, and winds gusting up to 60kmph. That isn't really that bad, but you just never know until it hits what it will be like. I only live 75km from Oak Island. Its only a 45 minute drive for me. The hurricanes are always great for the island, because it always erodes the beaches and washes stuff up on shore. They always find something interesting after every storm that hits the island. I will be taking my drone back down to the island after the storm to see what, if any damage has been done. Also to see if there might be anything visible from the air.

    • @johnwoa
      @johnwoa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs Thanks for your reply and the detailed information. The rain amounts and the wind speeds you state make sense because I lived in West Central Florida for over two decades before emigrating to Canada, learning much about meteorology (AMS) in the subtropics, and the "heavy weather" (i.e. rain, high winds, tornadoes, etc...) is ALWAYS on the eastern side of the eye of the hurricane. With the forecast path of Teddy, that would keep all the heavy weather east and offshore in the Atlantic from Nova Scotia. It's a shame about the current Canada / U.S. border closure because I'm sure that Gary Drayton would have a field day metal detecting along the shore of Oak Island "at low tide" after the hurricane has passed. I assume he is still down in the U.S.. I'll look forward to your next Oak Island video and any additional information you may have. Best Wishes, John (Toronto, Ontario)

    • @JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs
      @JerrsAerialPhotographyVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      johnwoa yes Gary is a metal detector expert! I always enjoy watching his finds! I got a metal detector almost like his myself, and wanted to go down to oak island on the shoreline to look for things. But unfortunately nobody is allowed on the island without prior permission from a land owner on the island. But it’s nothing they can do about being over 100 feet above the island.

    You can tell when you look at 5:00 and 13:53 that the swamp is man made. The island use to be two islands back many years ago and they sailed the ships into the middle (swamp) and then left the ship/ships their and dammed off the two islands and used all the gravel that came out of the tunnels and passage ways under ground to fill in between the two islands, creating the swamp! The key to finding out the truth to the whole oak island mystery is in the swamp. I know it! All you have to do is think about it and look at this drone footage. You can clearly see what is original island and what is man made. They proved that the swamp is man made, that it was made around 1100AD. The money pit may be just a ruse!

    Who are the saps who actually believe there is a treasure buried on Oak Island? Having that belief 50 years ago may have sound, but since then, giant industrial excavation equipment has dug the place up to a depth of over 150 feet. Does anyone really believe that a shipload of Medieval Knights Templar or Pirates or Vikings or whatever were able to dig a hole deeper than that using shovels and pick axes? And why would they need to dig a hole that deep. They found a remote island in the middle of nowhere. They would have simply dug a 10 foot hole and moved on. Time to put this silly belief to rest.

    • @johnwoa
      @johnwoa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Daniel McLaughlin I will not try to sway your beliefs, but everyone from ROC Equipment to the Geological Survey of Canada (a department of the Government of Canada) based out of the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia believe that something is entombed deep underground at Oak island. There is too much evidence and a lot of it is not mentioned on the Reality "Entertainment" TV show. And the Money Pit proper does not contain a "treasure" per se. And the Money Pit was NOT originally dug out. It was a very deep sinkhole that was backfilled after the fact using basic principles of Civil Engineering to protect what was buried/entombed far below (i.e. the contents of the purported Chappel Vault). And what is/was entombed deep beneath Oak island was not placed there from above.... it was placed there "from below". I will let you figure that one out! The bathymetric maps produced in the 1990's by the Canadian government and examined by geologists and geophysicists basically confirm that theory.
