Constructing Oak Island - A Theory of how Oak Island was made | The Swamp is the Key

  • I have weird dreams. This was one of them. I'm not saying this is fact, but to me it feels logical. I haven't seen or heard anything like this, so I thought I'd share. I believe the island, or what's below it rather, is much more complex than what is described here. But this would cover the basics of how the work could have been accomplished.

    Look up ram pumps and also Heron`s Fountain in Wikipedia and apply it to oak island on a much larger scale and for a very practical purpose.The swamp was a drydock/shipyard for careening ships hulls,hence the pine tar kiln(wattle and pitch caulking).In the mid 1700`s,British ships were among the first to use copper sheeting on the bottom of the hulls for anti-fouling,so the pine tar kiln could go back as far as Templar builders,(but also used by Spanish and French sailors and a few pirates) who would have had the skills,manpower and reason to build what I suggested.I think there were possibly Vikings in the area even before that.I also think that later on pirates found the place to be perfect for several reasons.It is a rather mind blowing fact that it lines up perfectly with Versailles and the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.I think the money pit was part of the pumping out system for the dry dock,and gives a valid reason for the cobbled area in the swamp and why it is so level.When a ship is rested on it`s keel it`s very important to support the vessel evenly so it does not twist or break the hull and you also need to keep it out of the mud so it does not get stuck when the water level drops.Oxen were used to pull the ships in onto the stone causeway.This allowed for ships to be worked on without the rising and falling tides being the critical factor in careening and working on external ship repairs below the water line.They could easily dismantle or store ships on land and even build them from scratch there since Oak for ship building and cork oak were found growing on the island,which were not the native red oak and had to have been growing sometime prior to 1600 by a couple hundred years.This site pre-dates Columbus `s discovery which is very significant,as is Viking explorers in the area from around 1000 AD.These are all seafaring peoples who`s ships were vital to their lives everyday,so of course a shipyard would be a necessity at the other side of the world if getting back was as important as getting there to begin with.There likely what remains a dismantled and burned ship buried in the mud of the swamp...who it might have belonged to is another story altogether...but I`ll leave that for some other time.

      You are the closest I have seen to knowing what happened. Yes Two islands and a drydock between them. The Mainland was then a dangerous place with hostile locals so being isolated offshore gave the sailors protection but they lacked fresh water. So they started digging a well. Guess what happened, they struck gold, now they had gold fever and dug deeper and deeper dumping the sand into the "Swamp". They had problems sealing the mine and keeping it clear of water so they tried elaborate methods of pumping and settled on Air pockets in side chambers of submerged tunnels. Who had such technology? I know.

Interestingly the 3 young men who found the money pit are all related to some of the original Scottish settlers that were first on record of going to/ owning or populating Nova Scotia (New Scotland) and some of those ancestors were involved in not only the crusades but also the Knights Templar. I like your theory. The Money Pit wasn't a ruse at the beginning. I believe it was originally an air shaft for air circulation for the mine. The entrance, somewhere else on the island was large enough to draw the outside air into the mine causing the Money Pit/ air shaft to help expel the Carbon Dioxide and the smoke from torches. Mining between the two islands is very complex. My theory is much more simple. The island to the right of the swamp wasn't there at first. It was man-made out of what was pulled out of the mine.

    Your presentation does you credit, very credible & logical (with all known facts). There is a lot of ships timbers at such a great though ?? Also after Friday 13th & the Knight Templar finances 'disappearing' the Cantons of Switzerland would soon unite taking a 'reverse colours' Templar flag for their new Confederacy . Yes the Templars fleet had already sailed from La Rochelle (The finances however would have been spread out all over Europe , a time factor favours movement to Switzerland), the 'Object' returned from the Holy Land ETC, would again be easily shipped out - to either Oak Island or Roslin Chapel - the fleet had split into two - Heads or Tails - OR BOTH.

    • @MetalMikeandPersis
      @MetalMikeandPersis  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. I think there's proof of them splitting up after 1307. They probably gathered in Scotland first to discuss their mission, then fanned out to Switzerland, Portugal, North America, and some probably stayed in Scotland. There was also a stone dug up on a farm in Wisconsin that had Templar writing and the date of 1362, so I think some went west and then south towards Mexico.

    Now you can't also forget that since the West side of the island is more stone compact and the east side is looser they could use that stone to reinforce the walls that conjoined the 2 islands and used the western side as an underground quarry.
    Edit*
    There could be like what you said either a another or the real treasure on the west side if you really think about why would you put the treasure on the eastern side where the ground has a deeper bed rock and the soil is much softer. Where on the west side it would be so much harder to dig straight down without traveling through the original tunnels that "may" or "may not" reside there. They need to do an extensive radar read out of the western side (like what they did with the easternside)that would support or denounce any of these theories. But remember back in season 6 I believe Dan Blankenship used a dowsing technique on the western side forgive me I can't remember where exactly but I do remember he did find a few anomalies perhaps this supports the theory I cant remember if they investigated any further on it, but as hazardous as the money pit is i think they need to shift their focus more to researching the western side and more excavating in the swamp whether they go anywhere or not either way if they don't which I highly doubt it. But if they don't it would at least be worth crossing something off the board. Keep in mind I'm just a 17 year old farm boy who only researches this stuff as a hobby so take my "thoughts" with a grain of salt.

    Ok cool video. But....
    The eye of the swamp is an enigma and this method does not explain why they eye perpetually fills with water as if it is connected to the sea in the same way (possibly) as the money pit appears to be.
    In several episodes they have given away the odd one liner about the eye, and I suspect looking at it as a clay pit isn’t the end of it. If the stone road actually goes to the eye that would beg the question why, as there is a stone platform up to and around it.
    If tunnels were dug either side into the island from there they would start at the level of the platform which is a foot above current sea level if I recall that correctly.
    The stone platform was created in the 1200s as thats the date for the creation of the swamp, the dating was from wood under the platform near the eye. It should be a relatively easy thing to locate tunnels leading off of the swamp by radar etc
    Which would suggest an almighty effort with medieval tech to create this feature let alone the tunnelling although if you look at medieval warfare tunnelling and undermining of castle walls etc they knew their stuff but the swamp? Where’s the parallels for this in that time period. And sacrificing ships to do it, suggests a fleet and the possibility people knew they weren’t going home large workforce no transport. Which in turn suggests something like this endeavour would have been recorded somewhere surely? It all smacks of very disciplined and very well trained operations and regardless of what time period that would have been a military operation.
    If it’s an island that was known about as a suitable secret place to hide stuff it would be unique and 800 years of manipulation would mean a continuous thread of knowledge about the island and what’s there passing on through many generations.
    My point is there must be a written record if it somewhere and the most complete continuous record kept that might be relevant is either the Spanish or English admiralty records. The Scots will have some records prior to union. The French may have some records although revolutions tend to mean stuff gets binned.
    It surprises me no documentary work features in the program instead there are various theories put forward, none of which appears to have studied these research sources in any depth. Or perhaps they have and there is simply nothing. Which would be a great mystery in itself. With the amount of manpower and organisation required it would have cost money to equip and send off that many to do the work. Someone would have signed off the expense.
    Anyway great vid and thank you for putting it together, but where does the eye fit in?

    • @MetalMikeandPersis
      @MetalMikeandPersis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions, I wish I had answers to. Personally I believe plans and basic construction started in the late 1300's, after being chased out of Europe, and remained under construction and used as a repository, not depository, for the next 3-4 centuries. Much like today's Freemasons remain secret, the Templars were similar. There will not be public logs of this. Of the thousands of Templars that existed, only a few hundred would have been part of Oak Island. Many Templar groups scattered world wide, in an effort to preserve our gold and books of lost knowledge. Many became pirates that would intercept the gold returning to Europe. Which is why I think Oak Island will still hold treasures from many different cultures and time periods. Part of the "lost knowledge" are secrets of stone and building, which they were very good at. Like the recently discovered tunnel in France that went from a Templar fortress all the way to the ocean front.
      I'm not sure of the purpose of the eye, I only hope it will be discovered. If you're not familiar with "The Book of Enki", I would check it out. It all ties together.

    As I watch your theory unfold the big question is ‘ why on earth would anyone undertake such an elaborate binding place for ‘treasure ‘
    Yes we know the Egyptians designed and constructed devious methods to prevent looting of the tombs etc. However they had as many slaves to undertake such work.
    Still not convinced such a venture would have been necessary; why not just bury it as was the tradition ?

      That is the ultimate question! With a complicated answer. The short answer is I believe the Templars discovered not only gold under Temple Mount, but important knowledge meant to be kept from the masses. Some of that knowledge was how the ancients worked so well with stone. But they also learned why gold is so important, and decided they had to hide it and keep it safe. Keep in mind most pirates were Templars/Freemasons as well, who intercepted gold being brought back to Europe and hid it in different locations.

This genius guy who makes his own Cypher books said that the codes hidden in this certain first printing of Shakespeare's entire works has to have been put there on purpose, which tells me that it is real.. The hidden stuff all points to Rosicrucian codes and really fascinating stuff, where the vault on Oak Island could house Holy Treasures the Templars had hidden. How was the earth moving job carried out by two or three ship crew members with primitive tools then?

  • @johnstegmeier3758
    @johnstegmeier3758 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    To begin with the sea levels at Oak Island would have been 3-5 feet lower during the time period that a treasure would have been deposited and the ships would draft over 10 feet of water (15 is more likely), so the swamp simply wasn't deep enough to float a ship even if it was open to the sea at the time which it was not. We know that the swamp was not an open channel because the swamp sediments were dated to around 1200 AD, that's about 400 years too soon for the dates of any of the wood that has been found in the money pit area.
    You have to pay attention to what physical evidence is available when you produce a theory and make sure your theory is consistent with the physical evidence.
    You couldn't quite figure out how they would get water out of the swamp. All the would have to do is dig a hole in the bar separating the swamp from the sea and let it drain, because it would have been about 5 feet above sea level at the time. High tide would still be a problem.

The only thing I can believe is that a grave, would be in an unrecoverable situation to ensure no disturbance. There are so many fantasies about what "might be there", none of which lead to un-recoverability. Knights Templar - want to keep their treasures for religious use, pirates - want to keep their treasure to use for lavish/foolish expenditures, crown jewels - needed for succession of royals. Horizontal, above water table tunnels, this videos describe, work better for such treasure since they are recoverable.

All they have found there is old timber and miniature scraps of this and that, nothing that would induce me to spend another penny on it with no evidence that there is anything there. Definitely concentrate on the swamp, they have already found timber from a possible Spanish galleon and what looks to be a stone jetty. Why else build a jetty unless to unload a ship?

If the theory of horizontal tunnels from the swamp is correct, then there is no evidence of them, so why build a money pit to distract, when all it will do is lure people to it? No money pit: nothing to see, tunnels are safe and sound. The money pit and flood tunnels are too elaborate and complex just to be a distraction, the labour needed would have been huge. I think the money pit was a real treasure store, whether holding pirates' booty or buried by the mutinous crew of a galleon. The only way to get answers is by exploring more .
