  • Another HMX switch... they must be doing recolors at this point, right? Nahhh, the Gachapon switches use two "relatively" new materials, in the T4 stem and the "TG30" bottom housing. I've found the T4 stem is very comparable to both T2 and T3. It results in a deeper sound when compared to POM or LY. This TG30 material is also seemingly new, but the listed material composition is the same as many other of HMX's more common nylon blends. I am sure that there is some difference, but it does remain similar. The notable thing about these switches however, is that they use one of these T_ stems along with a fiberglass-rich nylon blend in the bottom housing. This is a combination that I don't think we've seen yet. The combination results in a switch that, while still deeper than the usual clacky HMX sound profile, has a slightly brighter bottom-out than the other "deeper" HMX switches (e.g., Canglan, EVA, etc.). These pleasantly surprised me!

Do you happen to have any HMX Jelly? I'm curious as to how they compare to the other "deeper" HMX switches like Canglan or EVA.

😱 I think this is by far the ideal HMX switch I've been looking for 😁 I just hope it's available in my area.

what's your fav hmx switch on a pp plate?

I really like HMX Lotus and HMX Cheese. They’re on the higher pitched end of the HMX spectrum, and I think they pair very nicely with PP, which has a deeper sound profile. Makes for a nice balance

What are your thoughts on the Durock v3s? Any massive improvements over v2? I can’t seem to find any info on these

Honestly, I lubed them exactly the same way that I lube the v2s, and I can’t really tell the difference. I might make a video on them, now that you mention it!
