I would love to see you do a recipe a week, or month, where you make some of your favorite foods from all of the places that you’ve lived and tell us stories about when you ate it for first time, variations, etc. In particular, would so love to see you and your mom cooking Greek dishes that are traditions from your childhood, including your moms memories. ❤️ I am craving avolemeno (soup with lemon and egg) as it is Easter. May your love continue to shine through your videos, as I feel it and leave uplifted. I really would love for you to continue to emphasize and give examples of how to have ones home support ones needs from the second we open our eyes. Speaking of the most incredible fragrance my husband and I stayed for several weeks at the plaza Athine hotel in Paris and every time we walked in it was just the most incredible fragrance I’ve ever smelled and I was thrilled when we got home and my husband had purchased a bottle of it for us to have at home!!!

Great video, guys. One way to get great coffee table books is go to your local library as they sometimes sell off old editions really inexpensive. I recently purchased a large 670 page book called Real Spaces, an art history book. It’s for sale on the internet for $378 and I paid $5 at my local library. It’s a large, white, hardcover book. I couldn’t believe my luck!

Omg, I love collecting unique home items! I have a black and white booklet I bought in Santorini about the island's architecture and cave dug outs....LOVE!!! Got a dark green linen book from a thrift store titled "A country house companion" that was published in 1987 in the UK. It has a bunch of photos and line drawings of people's estates, and expansive gardens, what they wore and their traditions. I'm obsessed with the Netflix series BRIDGERTON so I had to have this book, and its really priceless. :))))
I collect small floral oil originals for my gallery wall, prized book ‘Floors of Venice’, vintage glasses and barware, Belgian wingback fireside chairs in cut velvet, 3 drawers dedicated to floral tools & vases, but I’ve got to work on music & scent!

I get so jealous when you talk about fragrance, as I adore it, but live with an allergic family…in Australia where it is often too warm to enjoy the cosines of candles…sigh I’ll just have to share Jack’s excitement! My daughter & her husband live in the US & are both artists. The ultimate cool kids…individually I sometimes question their purchases, especially from auctions etc but their taste is just cool! I have an awesome coffee table book about wine. Great resource. We also play Jazz when we are home. So much that our friends expect to hear some cool piano or trumpet music playing in the background.

As "cool kids" of the 90's we never over thought any of our style choices I'd wear my mums 70's bordeau leather jacket and everyone thought it was super cool (almost everyone ☺️) It's true as you say, it's about expressing yourself through art and fashion and lifestyle Just doing you For us it came from our once Woodstock hippy parents that let us express ourselves and validated our choices This also reflects today in my home And it's my home and lifestyle choices that make me happy and that others find very intriguing and interesting when they come to my home Keep 'em coming guys, love everything you do ❤️❤️

We have very usual coffee table books from gardening to children’s books that are from the forty’s. A must is always candles burning. I paint and collect different unknown artist and change the artwork in a room depending on the season or just the essence of it or quirks of who might be visiting our home. My walls are full of beautiful art work I collected over the years. I also am fortunate to have far too many coffee table books, a kitchen counter with some useful appliances like coffee makers, grills, frothers etc.. I used to entertain weekly prior to pandemic so my bookcase full of the best cookbooks with tried and true recipes are a bit dusty now. My wine cellar needs replenishing but my liquor cabinet is always stocked. I have some unique furniture pieces: a collection of eclectic furniture that are comfy and functional: refurbished antiques mixed with modern and boho decor. I love my plants and the life they bring to my kitchen. I usually have fresh flowers in my line of vision. I have a music corner with piano, guitar, uke and assortment of percusion and drums for jams do music is sn essential element in my home. My scented candles are in every bathroom and I've diffusers with a essential oils collection I use for setting moods. I love your show and Scandnavian style. I think despite having all kinds of COOL stuff we still have to be able to be able to put it together in away that meets a comfortable functional HAPPY space!! I'm down sizing now so maybe I'll have my new space look as polished as your home!! CHEERS!!
We love to collect art and decor from our travels. We have a book from the Shakespeare company in Paris, decorative tiles from Italy, woden boxes and wall decor from friends in Thailand and original paintings and glass bowls from local art fairs. I have purchased many coffee table books during our downtown library sale. My husband and I love one-of-a-kind pieces.

Something that is lacking though is color in all the examples of "coolness". Even just a daring pop of it would be cool. Life's too short to live in just neutral, imho. You are so right about art. I love that you mentioned it.
First of all, you are "the cool kids!" I so wish I had friends that love and get so excited about design, art, books, etc. like you do. I always feel like "the freak" around other people because I get so excited about really random things. My husband is very traditional and slow to try new things and I am always the one looking for something different. The struggle is real. Second, YES to the candle/fragrance videos with Jack. And where the heck do you get the scented lava rocks?? And maybe you guys could include some non-toxic candles?? Like truly non-toxic... if that actually exists.
Not a cool kid, but my coffee table books are gifts from foreign exchange students we hosted from Paris. They have gorgeous photos and one is in French, one in English. They remind us of the summers they spent in our home as well as our favorite city in the world.

However in contemporary interior design, it’s not common to see a lot of art, almost like the use of it would detract from design. I am older now but started around 20 collecting, well seeking out, a piece of art from any trip that I took. Then, I inherited pieces, as well have gotten some from auctions. My favorite artist is Ovissi. I don’t have an original but some small prints and maybe one day will own one. However, I don’t think art can be owned, it can be appreciated but never possessed. You never let us down. It’s funny we all have different ideas of cool. Cool to me is the person that sits in corner and watches everyone else. The quite always listening .Never complain yet complementing. The people that don’t wear labels or emblems on the outside advertising for brands. The clean neat ,polish ,pressed, takes the extra step. When I walk into a home , I don’t care how much you have or own ,most important are you clean. Windows make such a beautiful statement when cleaned. The old car that still runs yet kept clean. I see a lot of cool expensive things wore and used by some none cool people. The last one is tag the world not you!

My new favorite is called “Manly Indulgence Oak Barrel” (yes, manly! Discovered this week at Home Goods). I’m a vase girl too. Coffee table books… yes, please! My appliances are KitchenAid red… only the sexy appliances get counter space. ;). My husband and I just celebrated our 40th together, and we both feel like everything in our home has a story behind it. We love that. :)

Omg, I love collecting unique home items! I have a black and white booklet I bought in Santorini about the island's architecture and cave dug outs....LOVE!!! Got a dark green linen book from a thrift store titled "A country house companion" that was published in 1987 in the UK. It has a bunch of photos and line drawings of people's estates, and expansive gardens, what they wore and their traditions. I'm obsessed with the Netflix series BRIDGERTON so I had to have this book, and its really priceless. :))))

We have very usual coffee table books from gardening to children’s books that are from the forty’s. A must is always candles burning. I paint and collect different unknown artist and change the artwork in a room depending on the season or just the essence of it or quirks of who might be visiting our home. My walls are full of beautiful art work I collected over the years. I also am fortunate to have far too many coffee table books, a kitchen counter with some useful appliances like coffee makers, grills, frothers etc.. I used to entertain weekly prior to pandemic so my bookcase full of the best cookbooks with tried and true recipes are a bit dusty now. My wine cellar needs replenishing but my liquor cabinet is always stocked. I have some unique furniture pieces: a collection of eclectic furniture that are comfy and functional: refurbished antiques mixed with modern and boho decor. I love my plants and the life they bring to my kitchen. I usually have fresh flowers in my line of vision. I have a music corner with piano, guitar, uke and assortment of percusion and drums for jams do music is sn essential element in my home. My scented candles are in every bathroom and I've diffusers with a essential oils collection I use for setting moods. I love your show and Scandnavian style. I think despite having all kinds of COOL stuff we still have to be able to be able to put it together in away that meets a comfortable functional HAPPY space!! I'm down sizing now so maybe I'll have my new space look as polished as your home!! CHEERS!!
We love to collect art and decor from our travels. We have a book from the Shakespeare company in Paris, decorative tiles from Italy, woden boxes and wall decor from friends in Thailand and original paintings and glass bowls from local art fairs. I have purchased many coffee table books during our downtown library sale. My husband and I love one-of-a-kind pieces.
Candles are definitely my weakness. Also

Interesting how you covered 4 senses here. Sight-design, smell-fragrance, hearing-music, taste-cookbooks & cookies lol. The 5th, touch, is understood by your past videos. Something that is lacking though is color in all the examples of "coolness". Even just a daring pop of it would be cool. Life's too short to live in just neutral, imho. You are so right about art. I love that you mentioned it.
First of all, you are "the cool kids!" I so wish I had friends that love and get so excited about design, art, books, etc. like you do. I always feel like "the freak" around other people because I get so excited about really random things. My husband is very traditional and slow to try new things and I am always the one looking for something different. The struggle is real.
Second, YES to the candle/fragrance videos with Jack. And where the heck do you get the scented lava rocks?? And maybe you guys could include some non-toxic candles?? Like truly non-toxic... if that actually exists.

Not a cool kid, but my coffee table books are gifts from foreign exchange students we hosted from Paris. They have gorgeous photos and one is in French, one in English. They remind us of the summers they spent in our home as well as our favorite city in the world.
Happy Easter! You made me so happy mentioning art because I feel so cool now! I have lots of art and love love love it. However in contemporary interior design, it’s not common to see a lot of art, almost like the use of it would detract from design. I am older now but started around 20 collecting, well seeking out, a piece of art from any trip that I took. Then, I inherited pieces, as well have gotten some from auctions.
My favorite artist is Ovissi. I don’t have an original but some small prints and maybe one day will own one. However, I don’t think art can be owned, it can be appreciated but never possessed.

You never let us down. It’s funny we all have different ideas of cool. Cool to me is the person that sits in corner and watches everyone else. The quite always listening .Never complain yet complementing. The people that don’t wear labels or emblems on the outside advertising for brands. The clean neat ,polish ,pressed, takes the extra step. When I walk into a home , I don’t care how much you have or own ,most important are you clean. Windows make such a beautiful statement when cleaned. The old car that still runs yet kept clean. I see a lot of cool expensive things wore and used by some none cool people. The last one is tag the world not you!

OMG - I finally know your backstory - Now you’re DEFINITELY the cool kids on my list! This was a fun video. I’m with Jack on the scents and candles. My new favorite is called “Manly Indulgence Oak Barrel” (yes, manly! Discovered this week at Home Goods). I’m a vase girl too. Coffee table books… yes, please! My appliances are KitchenAid red… only the sexy appliances get counter space. ;). My husband and I just celebrated our 40th together, and we both feel like everything in our home has a story behind it. We love that. :)
We are music twinsies! I enjoy the quiet and my husband loves all music. He has it playing constantly. And, he too, keeps it on even when he’s left the area. 🤦🏼♀️ Although I don’t necessarily love the music, I love the energy it gives him.
