Crazy how things have taken a turn for the worst in the past 20-30 years, social media has all but ruined society. People live their lives not through their own eyes and experiences but through a screen. In America in particular, our government controls the flow of what is promoted and suppressed in the media to keep people's attention on the things they want it on, and away from their own wrongdoing.

About early 2000's I was in Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Eatontowne, NJ with a girlfriend. I was looking at a display of books as my girl held onto my arm. For some reason she began increasing her grip until her nails starting cutting into my skin. As I started to say, "Owwe WTF" I turned and saw a stunned look on her face, mouth wide open her eyes were fixed and she couldn't speak. I looked to see what she was staring at and Bruce Springsteen was standing two feet away on the other side of the book display looking at a book he was holding. She literally could not release her grasp on my arm and I had to ratchet her fingers out of my skin. She almost made a small scene and Bruce pretended not to notice. He went to the counter paid for his book and began walking toward the door and suddenly turned toward us held out his hand toward me smiling and almost laughing he said, "How ya doin?" I shook his hand and smiled and he was out the door in a flash. I watched him walk to a 1970, 454 SS Chevelle, metallic silver with 2 black racing stripes. He got in turned that monster 454 block over and it rattled the store windows as he slowly drove away through the parking lot.
And I bet you can stop listening to him coz I'm the same and I can't ' I found him last year in jail and since I've been out all I want to hear is Bruce !!

In my 46 years of age i have listened to a lot of music artists. There are many good musicians. But Bruce Springsteens music is the purest and the finest. I have traveled with his music through my entire life. It has the most emotional impact! And the fact that he's not one of those false shining diamonds wearing fancy clothes and driving fancy cars makes him a well respected man! If not THE most respected man! He's a shining example of a famous rich man but still down to earth. I saw Bruce at Glastonbury in 2009 and will never for the life of me understand why he didn't open with Hungry Heart ...Oh he did a damn fine gig as usual but?....If he'd opened with HH he'd have knocked everyone off their feet in the opening song, game over .

And then I try to sing something innocuous like, say, Something in the Night or Waiting on a Sunny Day with him, and realise how much of a vocal range he actually has.
So he isn't too shabby, either.

In my 46 years of age i have listened to a lot of music artists. There are many good musicians. But Bruce Springsteens music is the purest and the finest. I have traveled with his music through my entire life. It has the most emotional impact! And the fact that he's not one of those false shining diamonds wearing fancy clothes and driving fancy cars makes him a well respected man! If not THE most respected man! He's a shining example of a famous rich man but still down to earth. It seems you can have music sessions anywhere with him and drinking a beer right after and philosophizing about life at a camp fire. He's the best!
