In this video I react to Polish comedy by reacting to Polish kabaret and comedy group Kabaret Moralnego Niepokoju and their funny comedy sketch about a radio broadcast.

In Poland we have something like Kabareton. It's some kind of festival of cabarets, they are few on one year. Almost every tv station has something like that. It is organise in different cities. Mostly on fresh air. This one you watched was in Mrągowo, The stege was exacly on the shore of lake. Other famous Kabaretons are in Koszalin, Kielce, Opole, Sopot, Lidzbark Warminski. At one event there are few different cabarets on one stage.
KMN is probably the best polish kabaret in XXI century, both by quality and quantity of sketches. Robert Górski is in my opinion the most influential person in the polish kabaret scene. Rumours say he wrote like a third of all of the sketches in last two decades and just gave them away to other kabaret groups. Brilliant man. Check out their “Drzwi” and “Rezerwacja telefoniczna”!

IMO to są dwa kompletnie inne typy humoru - na KMN poszedłbym z kolegami, a na Hrabi z dziewczyną 😉

I think, IMHO OC, the best polish cabaret is HRABI. Completly anti-politicial, built on social observations. For example their "alcohol drinking culture" in "savoir-vivre" program. Unfortunately there is no translation into English. :(

The event is probably a music festival (probably in Opole?). It is quite common in Poland that music festivals have some cabaret gigs.

Watch this movie at the 52nd minute 30 sec. and compare. Unfortunately there is no translation into English.
It is absolutely necessary to add that this is one of the best Polish comedies ever made. What is more, it is incredible that the movie was made only 3 years after the tragedy of World War II and in the ruins of Warsaw, which at that time was still widely razed to the ground. It is incredible that people were able to muster such a powerful kind of humor in a city that had experienced such a tragedy.

This event took place in Summer Theatre in Szczecin. It was some time ago, 2011 or 2012. I can't remember exactly when.
Maybe it was 2012? Because part of the audience is dressed as Polish fans (e.g. from a fan zone in a given city), and in 2012 the European Football Championships took place in Poland...
