- It's been a momentous day for the Royal Family following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It was a day that King Charles III said that he was dreading.
Now, a 'final tour' is being organised for Queen Elizabeth.
The day after the death of Queen Elizabeth, King Charles and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, performed an impromptu walkabout outside Buckingham Palace. The crowd then watched as they walked to the Palace - for the Monarch, this was his first walk into the Palace as the King.

Yes, I'm American. When I told my children that the Queen had passed, they knew exactly who I was speaking of. They were shocked as well. My daughter told her teacher right away and he was devastated. He spent the rest of the class period telling stories about her life.
I guess Americans think so much of the British monarchy because the US was British at one time.

One of my first memories of queen Elizabeth was her coronation. My mother gave me.a scrapbook and I cut her coronation pictures out of the newspaper..my first entry..I still have it and treasure it. Like so many I loved her and grew to respect her. She was a constant ...you could count on her..things change but she was there doing what she promised when she was a very young woman ...to serve. She certainly did that and so much more. She was a bright light in a very uncertain world and we all feel the void. God bless you queen Elizabeth rest peacefully.

Charles understands that he is nearly 74 years old & so may only have a 20 year reign & so William & Kate will be carrying out the more arduous duties of the monarchy as they are younger & have more stamina. I would expect to see William doing the same thing with George once he becomes king as one can only do so much once one gets into their seventies. As I am several months older than Charles I feel for both him & the Queen Consort, Camilla who is the same age as myself as I could not stand up physically to what is going to be expected of them by the people of Great Britain & the Commonwealth.
It’s my belief that The UK 🇬🇧 along with The Commonwealth will/would rather see Prince William & Catherine instead of his father and his Wifey, William reminds the world of his Mum who was loved and celebrated something Camilla Parker Bowels will never enjoy regardless of her dedication to Charles and the request of our Queen, Elizabeth ll. We have had remember Camilla’s behavior, how she handled herself in Princess Diana’s marriage, her treatment towards Diana, her absolute disrespect of our beloved Princess of Wales, not that Princess Diana was perfect…But…seeing Camilla as queen consort is asking a lot of us older folks that we’re around to watch the whole ugly break down of CC & PD marriage in real time! I wonder how many More Facelifts, Fillers, Botox and Expensive Designer Clothes for an Older body, Jewels and More Jewels, Very Big Hat’s the People will foot the Bill for, The People already pay for her horses boarded, her family home Charles secured for her and the renovation, the cost, The People have NO idea the money they’ve given to make Camilla’s life of luxury happen and it didn’t start when they married, Charles has been paying out Pounds & Pounds while married to Princess Diana. I am Armenian who immigrated to the US 50 years ago and I finally understood why Queen Elizabeth’s passing saddened me so much. She personified honor and duty and as a descendant of Armenian aristocracy, I was brought up that honor and duty are above all. I was a huge admirer of HM. Queen Elizabeth will be missed.

On another note however, we actually know quite a bit about Meghan.The visuals during her time in the UK with the royals speak volumes about her. Meghan was disrespectful at every turn with almost every request/tradition of Her Majesty The Queen. Having a hat when no hat was called for, not wearing one when required. Black clothing when colors were recommended....instead of British designers she opted for the French and Italian designers. Black nail polish instead of subtle tones. Not wearing hosiery. Off shoulder dresses (Diana wore off shoulder dress after 1996 when she and Charles were divorced). Excessive PDA (public displays of affection). Breaking protocol by not letting the blood royal (her husband Harry) greet first. She would grab his shoulder to make him step back so she could greet first. Did we miss anything? Was there a time when she wasn't thumbing nose at protocols/traditions/requests/suggestions? She did these things with the whole world as witness. We can see who she is, infer her INTENTIONS clear as a bright day. We can't know her thoughts, true, but actions speak.
This has been rough on the Queen who was trying to help her granddaughter-in-law fit into the fold. In the U.S. we admire rebelliousness way too much. She should have settled down. She was not a victim.
