www.commhubb.com/affiliate.php... tvs aquatics installs large fish tank and sump. www.tvsaquatics.com.au tvs aquatics located melbourne factory 2&3 / 21 green street Doveton
Guys, let's have an update with some fishes swimming about! Otherwise... Very cool setup there. How's the sound factor with the back open like that and the refugium running?
+Babby Babbyson Especially when you know just doing proper planting etc. would make it unnecessary to have a good filter on such a big tank anyways. The water in that size should basically maintain itself, if done right.
+Rene Hupfer The additional water volume of that sump is worth it though. It is like having a bigger tank, so you can stock more and the system is more stable. I understand your idea, but there are other reasons for the sump being large aside from filtering.
Going to b one seriously noisy tank, why not put all the pipe work inside the cabinet so you can close the back of it off. All you would have had to do was drill holes in to the bottom of the tank.
Regular glass or laminated? Sure looks thicker. Planning on building a 250x70x70 planted Discus tank. Every (online) calculator I used/tried gives me at least 15mm....?
Jenny Rei so do you think that 12mm on a 8ft tank is under the standard for a tank that size, I am just looking at some videos as I am planning on a home build and any input would be great. A site I was reading recommended 15mm for tanks this size.
What is the name of the doly you are using ( red ) with the pump on it ? What is it called and can I rent it ? I need to get a 410 gallon 10.8 feet long in my home off from a trailer
The foam Is put under the tank just in case the floor is'nt true level. It takes the pressure off the tank floor and prevents cracks or a blow out. They need to be replaced every time u relocate the tank as the foam will shape to it previous location. A lot of people the mistake and pay the consequences and you don't want a tank like this blow that's for sure!
+rov furness Um Freshwater is better than saltwater. Freshwater is easier to maintain and is way more decorative than saltwater which is nothing but corals and anemones. You could put cichlids, Red tail catfish, pacus, and another wide array of affordable large fish. What would you put in saltwater? Clownfish? Surgeonfish? lol now that's a waste...
rov furness I see. Well you're right, you should have whatever kind of aquarium you find to your liking. Salt or fresh water. But you said freshwater is a waste which is totally false.
You almost broke the outgoing valve by the sump motor clean off! I'm surprised it hung on! 2:46-2:50
The tank is amazing!
muito bom qualidade e perfeição,um abraço aqui do Brasil 😎

The biggest home tanks are usually 19mm thick glass
Tvs Aquatics only

The foam Is put under the tank just in case the floor is'nt true level.

+rov furness Um Freshwater is better than saltwater. Freshwater is easier to maintain and is way more decorative than saltwater which is nothing but corals and anemones.
