Der Sorin, when I first time saw your videos I thougt you must be crazy. Now I saw a lot of videos on your Channel and I learn every time something new. I reapair now Phones that I could not reapir without your videos. For exampel I buy Pertol I never buy this before. Thank you and I hope for more
My old Galaxy S7 has the option to shoot pictures as raw image's, also work's in burst mode too if I remember correctly.
Yep .. this is an old feature on standard android phones... I have it on galaxy s8.. gakaxy s9... and galaxy s9+ ...

Freeze spray or compressed air upside down would be much precised to determine schort components. Even rosin flux smoked on the board. Not to mention thermal camera.
Petrol/Isopropanol is cheaper and always available in a repair shop. And don’t forget he is doing very cheap repairs.
The favorite repair method from iPad rehab was her cheek for example. Whatever works is ok.

Yup My old LG G4 had raws and I think there were phones even before with that feature.
@@gl0sek As I commented earlier my old S7 has the option to shoot Raw Images.
I must have become more dodgy than Sorin because after 3 minutes without finding a suspicious component I start yelling "just burn it with 10 amps" :D

You can buy EMI copper shielding tape. I'm guessing Apple puts something between the conductive copper shield and the chips below to stop shorts

You dont need a finger print Sorin. Its got a powerful face detection soon as you hold and see to your phone it will unlock iphone x and upward all models. Untill you dont try you will not realise.

When you say about "come with the amps" beyond the mosfet, is this like it is with the laptops where the mosfet is open and you need to "come with the amps" on the output side of the mosfet of current sense resistor?
In this case (without rewatching it) I think he means just put the Linear PSU on the phone by connecting positive and negative from PSU to the battery terminals.
@@Infiniti25 A little further than that. I use the voltage injection method myself. My query was more relating to the mosfet itself. In laptops when a there is a short, there are mosfets that open in fault condition to cut the power to the rest of the board. When injecting voltage (or coming with the amps), it has to be "after the mosfet" ( if it was before the mosfet, the open state of the mosfet wouldn't allow current through). I was just wondering if it was the same case with the iPhone as he keeps saying about injecting voltage after the mosfet or if that mosfet was there for a different reason.
I'd need to drink a few beers to calm down my shaking hands. LOL

The screen doesn't show anything and sometimes it does, when i press on the motherboard on the up, right side the screen works then it gets hot and restarts.
Where do you buy iPhone screens for replacement??? Did you ever use cheap chinese screens?
i have a problem with an hp laptop thats not switching on, compared to the other hp laptops that i have opened up whereby only the standby 3.3V are present, this one seems to have power to most of the coils, once the charger is plugged in. however the fan doesnt turn on dont matter how many times i tried to ground the standby voltage. im thinking the super i/o is faulty causing the coils to have power, is there anything else that i can check. thanks in advance.

Sorin how do you just remove a cap with a calculated value and not have to replace it? These SMD components often have no indication of what value they are. I’d love to just pull the bad part, throw it away, and put the thing back together! Only you get away with that 😂

Sorin, i want to ask. Ive just removed the short at vcc main. Now the phone hv jumping current. How can i find the other short at another power rail? Ive tested each rail with low voltage but nothing short.
