OMG!!!! Thank you so much Alex! That was my iPhone that you fixed 😍❤️🙏🙏🙏. I’ve been wanting to recover information on that phone for yearsss now. The photos and videos on there are extremely dear to me and my family. I am BEYOND grateful for your help; you are an absolute legend! Bless you and thank you for everything! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍🏆🏆🏆🏆
I have something for you to try. Thermal printing paper. Place on the suspect area. Mark and index it for it's location. Apply pressure with a soft sponge and apply voltage. The black hot spot says heat. I worked with those printers and the print is amazing. A microscopic pattern of cross wires, heating and cooling in microseconds.
I also wanted to thankyou sincerely, I've gone from simple changing power sockets and hard drives in laptops and PCs over the last 25 years to successfully changing HDMI ports, USB C ports, back light repairs, motherboard repairs. I've seen a lot of repair business not keep up and close down, which has increased my work load. I especially appreciated the soldering lessons. I have you to thank for my ongoing board repair training. I've got very happy customers and repeat business from your mentoring. Even though you don't know me id like to give you a handshake one day and send best wishes to you and your family to do well in the future, I can carry on making an income to support mine, Many Many Thanks. Paul. The Laptop Repair Centre, Liverpool. UK
Want to let you know that I appreciate your video editing. You do the best job creating micro soldering repairs. I've watched some others, and you're the best.

Love the revamped outro! Even couple of split second quick zoom videos. It's much impressive that you're stepping up to do way better. I love it, Alex! Great job!
I own you a big thanks, I started working on chip level from age of 13 (from 2018) , and your videos helps me to learn about the things that i don't know.
I think that another and not less valid reason to use caps in series is to lower the total ESR. It's done on conventional ATX pc motherboards where space is not an issue. We are using the method when designing preamps and so on
legend mate. well done. If ever in NZ - Reach out I will take you for a tour of NZ on my Harley or if you have your licence, you can ride one of mine and we can ride around this beautiful place :)
That iPhone direct board power supply you have is pretty bad ass. Would love to see either another model or adapters for android phones. A data connection would be a nice feature too, then you could possibly backup data without needing to install the motherboard back into the case
Alex, I always learn at least 2 things every time I watch your videos. 1: Some form of computer hardware or software technology fundamentals. 2: Really awesome jokes! 😆
Also the several capacitors in parallel are better than a single one equivalent to the sum of all because the ESR (equivalent serial resistance) decreases because all individual ESRs are in parallel. You are a good repair man, but you are an excellent seller……
LuL did you saw that motion trick/control for camera? Maybe just random luck, but looks like camera focus setting was following some gesture in 17:40, or camera was just following motion created by hand...
Genuine question, regarding the caps. I like the guard analogy you give regarding why there are so many. However, I'd love to know why you think the manufacturer places to many "unneeded" caps and components onto their devices? I mean, if its say 1 cap per iphone, and that cap is 1-5cents, that soon stakes up to lots of money across just one model. Or is it simply because you only expect/want the device to last as long as it would take to recover the data, and are not expecting a long term "repair"?
The manufacturer has to consider every possible use case, such as running the camera, flash, ringer, etc. all at the same time. They also provide extra margin to help make sure the device will work well for a long time. Like you say, just for data recovery, all of that margin is not necessary.
Hello Alex! Thank you for the great videos. I learned a lot watching your channel. I like your microphone very much and I need similar. What is the brand name of this mic? Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Hi Alex. I'll tell you a short story. My wife is an archaeologist. Now and I know but many years ago, when we had just met, her and her team had just finished two months of digging In horrible weather and they didn't find what they were looking for. I asked them whether they felt disappointed. The answer was: Not at all. Now we know it's not there so we need to explore other theories.. Same as all of your videos...

Yeah, customers like to undercut other people's work. They have a few files to backup, and then they want a cheap price because "it is just a few files". One can't charge by the file.

Alex, if your ecom business is doing better than repair business, maybe its time to reduce the number of repairs received or limit them to exotic devices.
Yes indeed, 390k subscribers who tune in for philosophy and life lessons! 🤣😜 Seriously though, well done, and of course I have to ask how much a repair like that costs?

That's great. You found the issue. Now l understand why there are so many tiny capacitors to equal one or more big capacitors. Keep the videos coming.
The idea is more to do with reducing ESR
your English is very understandable/You taught us how to maintain phones and computers and everything and English language to thank you very much
