Hi.... please can you help me solve or know how to solve problems or real situations of take off in threaded joints. For this examples: 1) A piece of NPS ∅2" pipe is being cut to run between two 90° degree threaded fittings. The center-to-center measurement of the fittings is 7'-2¼". What is the cut length of the pipe? 2) A length of NPS ∅1½ inch pipe is to be cut run between two 90° degree 6.000# threaded fittings. The fittings measure 7 ft 2¼ inches center to center. What is the cut length of the pipe? Regards.... Thanks
Plumbing threading dies are tapered. Personally I have never seen a pipe thread occupy the full thread engagement of the a fitting; it is always less.
588158 never if it does that means the threads aren’t doing their job. And it will leak
Thank you very much 👍
Well Done Indeed 👍
Come on brother why not just use fractions….
Why not just measure the threads in the first place subtract that from your center to center
you can do from center elbow to the threats (an elbow that's already on a pipe), and you get perfect measurment.
Nice video sir
amazing video!
