Mileage does not tell you the whole story about a car but it is crucial information nevertheless. We can also chase down auction records in order to obtain information on accident damage, selling price, after marked parts,...

I would never buy a used car from a used car dealer, if you can by private party or from a new car dealer and always when possible bring a mechanic or at least someone who knows about cars if you don't. I don't know who would buy a junk Mitsubishi like that in the first place.

It doesn’t matter how many Ks a car has it’s how it’s been treated that matters you can have a 2017 Holden sv6 with 60000ks and a 2013 Holden sv6 with 200000ks but the 2017 has been owned by someone that doesn’t know jack about how to take care of a car and the 2013 has a mechanic as an owner what car would you take
Just ask for the de-reg papers when buying.....the importer has to have them before the car is put on the boat from japan....if they won't show you the papers ....dont buy the car.....most of the rewinding happens in japan for an extra cost by the importer.
Just so you know the Japanese dereg does not always have any milages on it and if it does it will be what it was when the car changed hands 2 owners ago, not what was on it when deregistered, so not accurate. BTW, dereg papers have been gone now for about 10 years, it is now and export certificate
Is the car was deregistered after 2003 we normally get the odometer reading from the last two registration points (2 years before export and 4 years before export). This gives you a good idea what the current reading should look like.
