I was wondering if OP did some legal action for the father. I mean, for grand parent, pretty sure there is not many "legal right". But, for the father, he has for sure. All of this let me think that if the grand parents has took the legal way, by using their son, they might had a chance to actually do it. But the story doesn't tell.
I'll give a little slap on wrist of OP : what was the idea of returning with an abusive ex?!? And I know : emotion!!! So important, so much of a blessing and a curse!

It is now hers to do with as she pleases. OP used the Power of her Luck to turn his gift of $100 bucks into $17K. He is not entitled to any of this money as he gifted her the C-note. I disagree. The mother seems like a spoiled child. The grandmother may be nuts but the grandfather seems ok. If they are wealthy then they should get a team of lawyers to dissect this girls life and sue for custody . I know of a case in real life where that happened . The wealthy grandparents actually got the mother committed to an asylum and took the baby away. In this story it would have been better if the girl had reached an accommodation with the grandparents so they could see their grandchild. It doesn’t say what happened later but she may very well have lost custody.

Granny here. If you aren't paying child support, you don't see the baby. From what I think, he didn't want anything to do with her baby so that means he's not paying and so grandparents rights are severed. If it was me, my daughter would be in the court severing the parent/child thing and getting restraining orders on everyone. This is not over, next time it will be them going to the school to try to get the child. Or later when the kid is older and somewhere like a football game where the parents aren't right there. Yeah. I think I’ve only seen one man try to get custody because he actually wanted his kid. He had been abused by his mom’s boyfriends though so he was freaked out something would happen to his daughter if my sister in law dated. Their relationship was toxic and they worked much better apart after he went to rehab and kicked the coke. He stopped trying to kidnap their kid.
He still wanted her 50% of the time but everyone had to remind him he worked 3 weeks out of 4 in the bush. He would literally need a nanny or babysitter for one week while he was out of town working so it didn’t make sense for him to have her half the time. So he had her for the whole week he would be back in town until he got a job where he was home at night and they switch to 50/50. Until my sister in law passed away and now he has her 100% and keeps having freak outs about it.
She’s a teenager. And he freaks out when she wants to do things like, go to the mall with her friends and not have her clingy and invasive aunt tag along. She’s already talking about getting emancipated at 16 so she doesn’t have to live with him

Gf then found another bf and the bf raised the baby as his own. I knew someone that had a big dog (lab sized) that bit a tech from a satellite company that decided they needed into her yard from the neighbors yard...right around the kneecap...so it did a lot of tendon damage. Didn't knock on the door, didn't call them as the neighbors have the contact, just decided to kick through the fence while they weren't home. Not climb...or use the gate...kick through. He didn't even try to justify or explain why he did it. He'd just go quiet and move on like he wasn't asked.
The guy got fired, that's a huge no no to the company, then sued home owner....lost and had to pay attorney fees. Eventually the guy got jailed for violation of a restraining order and harassment because he would come to the door and yell at the home owner. No one seemed to be able to convince him what he did was wrong or figure out why he needed to be in their yard so badly.
The dog seemed cool once he got to know you but he was skittish after the incident.

I would have filmed my ex hurting the dog using that as leverage to get him arrested for animal cruelty if he was to continue harassing me after this breakup. As well as any interactions with the family you needed to have a camera at the ready.
And I would have put all the gifts that they gave me for the baby in a box and put it on their doorstep saying no thanks anymore will come with us restraining order.

Story 5, if you are staked by someone you owe them some money. That said, staked, by definition, is someone paying your way to gamble. How the story went, he didn't lend her money. He handed her money and told her to gamble. That is a big difference in gambling etiquette. She owes him nothing, including the initial $100, he gave her. I think she was being nice, just by giving him that!

As far as the dog biting that person has no case. He lost a client and can be charged with trespassing and attempted assault or maybe even trying to kill the dog. Never enter a closed yard that way even if granted permission before knowing a dog is on the premises. Always make sure the dog is inside for safety reasons. If the dog gets out and hurt you can be held responsible. Better safe then sorry.

Last story: not the a-hole. That money was hers to keep and she was generous to give him his 100 bucks back, as it was a gift. She kept telling him she wasn't interested in gambling but he kept insisting. That's a clear sign that he doesn't respect boundaries. She's well to be rid of him.

I've heard of a thing some gamblers do something along the lines of "showing gratitude to your luck," which is along the lines of superstition, like throwing salt over your shoulder. My uncle took my aunt to a high states roller and she shuffled and dealt the cards to her husband and several of his friends. Turns out several of the guys had decent luck, with some even winning. After the game, each of the men gave her $100, and when she said they didn't have to, her husband told her it was a bit of a thing to give a token to the person who gave them luck (i.e. she shuffled and dealt, so she got money just for being lucky).
So, if OP was like that, I guess she could have given him a portion larger than exactly what he put in, but she's not obligated to. She didn't want to play, he wouldn't take no for an answer and basically trapped her into playing by putting money in so she felt obligated That she paid him back exactly is more than generous considering what he pulled. That blatant disrespect for her boundaries is a big, honking, neon flashing sign that she's better off not dating him. He would trample her boundaries a lot more than that in other ways if they'd stayed together.

The boyfriend who insisted his girlfriend gambled isn't owed more than what he put in if he didn't establish that from the start. Doubley so since she stated she only wanted to observe and he outright put money in a machine and insisted.

Story 4: This must be my psychotic side showing but I would take a watermelon, wrap it up like a baby, take it out to Bob and Karen and SPIKE it into the ground! Maybe toss in some kicks towards Bob and Karen saying "Here's your granddaughter!"
