Sad day for us Axton fans today, one of these days he'll have his shining moment in the spotlight.
I may not be Axton main, but he's my second favourite character in BL2(after Maya). So I am sad too.
At least he has infinite speed with that one skill

Just imagine Krieg with infinite durations and stackable Kill Skills. Man that would be insane.
I mean theoretically if you can get a kill skill on like a spider ant and then blood's glowed your own car you should Ge you have a fake kill skill be cause if you're killed skill from the spider ant so it would just take some testing if all it takes is Nova damage then Creek should definitely be someone who Can replicate it

Tips for Hyperius:
-Make sure youre super close (i have to be inside his sheild sometimes), and aim away from his body.
-Slagging before helps (game also glitches if killed while slagged and repeatedly gives BA points for a completed slag challenge).
-Use high pellet, fast shotgun, and antagonist with high deflection damage (my 840 worked great).
-I noticed if it doesnt work the first few seconds, it either needs a reset or you need to back off and readjust your angle. If gates open after it doesnt work, run outside the arena, refill ammo, and try again.

Man this is what happens when one glitch ends up being discovered more end up getting discovered and it's so freaking cool expecially after so many years of the game and having nothing going on in the community is still able to synergize and combine bugs and glitches together to make something like this I mean gauge was one of the hardest characters in my opinion besides Creed to get to op8 or 10 I can't wait for them to figure out the next one YAY

It’s actually surprisingly common for people to find new glitches in older games. Really prevalent in speedrunning, people spend months grinding the current movement and glitches and then someone finds some big thing and blows their times out of the water.

Thats crazy at first i thought this was a reupload, but then read it again, and for Maya... fun fun, I was gonna boot up BL2 to try the Gaige glitch but now you have shown me the way of a light Auto-bomber build... might need to try this out

This is gonna help so much with the norfleet. I guess Maya is one of my best characters for Hyperious and Haderax now lol.

The greatest thing about glitches being found this far down the line is there’s a chance gearbox just doesn’t care enough to fix them
chance? they 100% do not care enough to fix it. The last update for the game was literally just a banner ad for the new tales game.
they still never updated mac to the latest version so I doubt they'd fix this glitch
theyve left op 10 vor and hyperius at double hp for the past 3 years so I doubt it
Maybe not, they did randomly release a patch a few years ago before the new dlc that patched weapon merging After it being in the game for years. I expect them to 100% patch in ADs for BL4 in the menus if that ever comes out
There are exploits and glitches that have been there since release that they haven’t fixed.
for those who dont want to/cant farm the items he brings up, any low capacity shield with a normal grenade will work (i was uvhm lvl 54, shield capacity 15k, toss grenade at feet and have at it, took about 5 minutes for a solid amount of stacks and killed hyperious without a proper loadout)
I am level 60 at the moment, could i get a level 60 low capacity shield now, then try for a level 80 slow hand when i get there to make this work?

I remember when Joltz was doing a Maya playthrough and he was over leveled in Normal mode killing with blight phoenix saying he wished it was a thing in op10. Look at this!!
maya's audio bug can never be near as bad as the morningstar. this seems managable if it doesnt literally blow out your speakers

do you guys remember when immolate maya with a norfleet and bee could one shot hyperius back at like level 61 or 72 or something? and how that became impossible with further scaling? its nice to see that maya can once again be the best hyperius farmer, even tho its with a glitch

I feel like this kind of glitch would be something I’d do for gaige, just having a couple of stacks so I’m not just locked to anarchy. I’d probably have fun for a while being OP without trying on Maya, but I’d really only use it for making a Blight Phoenix a good mobbing build. I’ve never done rocket jumping in Bl2 but I think you could come up with an interesting mobbing build running and flying around with blight killing everything.

Was testing around and found something neat: I built up the glitched stacks then fully respec-ed my character and the stacks didn’t go away - even if no points were put into the corresponding skill. Not that you really need to with how broken the glitch already is, but that means you can build your stacks then move points into Accelerate and any healing skills just to make it that little bit more broken!
Wonder if they’d go away by hopping in a vehicle like joltz said if they don’t then infinite survivability without drawbacks

In Borderlands: The presequal, claptrap has like 4 different skills that allow him to emit explosive novas, although his only kill skill is “death machine”, which boosts gun damage, reload speed, and movement speed by a small amount, it may still be worth checking to see if it works for him, not to mention the other 5 TPS characters

A leveled kerrblaster and low capacity, quick delay, high recharge rate sheild perfectly takes out my sheilds from the grenade, and recharges near instantly. you can use the grog/rubi on the turret to heal health

Joltz, have you tried doing a weapon-drop shot (like the friendly fire glitch) with a weapon with some sort of delay, the Storm comes to mind (also novas, kinda?)
Just theorising other potential ways to universally proc fake kill skills
First thing that came to mind for me is the landscaper, which might be a little bit easier than the storm imo.
@@pumlved That would be fantastic. I literally always have a Landscaper with me, because it makes Badaboom jumps go so much further, so I'd be prepared for this glitch in advance.
I LOVE the fact that this game is more than 10 years old and there's still more things to be discovered
You should try only putting a skill point into one kill skill and stacking one and see if you lag less and see what kind of effects that would have on each individual kill skill
i can’t even get backdraft to work with the transformer…..anybody know why (i fixed it, for anyone that can’t get a level 50 transformer go to normal mode & get one there then you can just grab a slow hand from tvhm, boom there you go

Plenty of level 50 gear in normal. It's just not an efficient farm looking for a world drop Transformer in normal from Terra.
You can also get Pearls in normal with just a little eriduum, the slots in Flamerock, and a whole lotta luck.

Gearbox better not patch this
I had a question with the gear and didn’t see anyone in the comments address it, so I did a bit of testing. Getting a lvl 60 slow hand is a bit tedious, so I found if you drop down to tvhm and get a lvl 50 slow hand then drop to normal mode and get a lvl 22 transformer it still works. May not be as efficient, but works really well!
Just get a shock slow hand and transformer, preferably both from nvhm, nothing else matters
You could use the skill tree randomizer or something similar to give a different character one of the skills that causes the glitch (or put the kill skills onto maya or gaige)
I just find it amazing how even though this is a bug, borderlands just has perfect things to set them up. Like yeah heres a turret that gets one tapped which also counts as a fake kill skill.

Currently using this to clear the peak on op 5-10 instead of doing the grog rocket jump shenanigans and it is much more enjoyable

What you said about the glitch 'resetting' randomly must be what happened to me with a 400 stacked Gaige versus Voracidous. I was OP10 and he was OP0 - he downed me after five minutes and I just couldn't damage him past half way.

IMPORTANT DISCOVERY!!!:
In borderlands the pre sequal, as claptrap you can destroy a vehicle with the blast move from “element of surprise”, which makes claptrap emit a nova of a random element upon breaking his shield, recharging it, or going into fight for your life. If you destroy the cubicle with this explosion you are able to stack fake kill skill, in this case being death machine/I’m rubber your glue
Also works with the skill “it’s a trap… card”

I was very interested to see how Blight Phoenix works with this glitch. Its a shame it breaks your game, at least you could just not spec into the game breaking skills

The shock burst skill for decepti0n was something that came to my mind, too. May not count since it’s not truly a nova type skill

Joltz, can you get second winds off of unoccupied vehicles like turrets or cars? If so, have you tested Kriegs ffyl dynamo garbage skill to see if that’d proc for him?
Based on the numbers, this looks easier to get than with Gaige. As a Maya main, I'm super excited to try this later.

@@cyprezz_ I just used gibbed to create the exact transformer and slow hand Joltz said to use and it worked perfectly.
@@MichaelKolesarKoleslaw do you think the shield parts are mandatory? or maybe the slowhand prefix has to be the practicable with the 3x damage? i have a level 60 shock slowhand and a level 50 transformer with different parts but same level. I have to stack 100+ times to get the instant reload but joltz only does it like 30 times
@@cyprezz_ no not mandatory I jst farmed a transformer and a slowhand in tvhm and it works jst fine doesn't have to be perfect jst make sure the slow hand is shock

What i found works best with life tap is if you reset your skills before stacking you can stack your other kill skills before putting points into life tap, then get 1 or 2 more kills. Its such a high % you don't need many stacks for instant healing
Yeah because without life tap you could still get downed from melee or a nova right? At least thats whats happening to me, maybe i should stack more? I could just use grog to be invincible but still. Look when he’s fighting hyperius he still uses grog. Also when i’m doing the 1 shot raid boss thing it ends up downing one of us. (not too big of a problem the boss dies before i go down) but in joltz video he’s launching himself with the glitch. It is because the corrosive damage from the other maya is too much and takes all my health away thats why im getting downed maybe?
@@cyprezz_ you can still down each other with anything that's not a bullet, like cloud kill. You can also still get status effects from bullets so use a non-elemental weapon.
This glitch makes the solo speed runs a lot faster now that's insane
Hey joltz I know I'm late but I was testing a respec side to this and you can spec one of the kill skills and stack it then respec and not lose the fake kill skills.
I'm a Maya main so this is awesome
10 years of this game and people still find new stuff. I wonder how the devs react to this stuff.
Im not sure if this glitch could work for the other hunters. None of them really have a secondary non-direct attack like Maya or Gaige. It might work with Zero's explosive hologram or Axton's nuclear turret but those are the only similar moves. Sal has nothing similar and Krieg has the fireballs but those specifically home in on enemies.
I had a glitch with Zero not too long ago on pc, I had permanent shield regen at a quick rate but when I got downed by an enemy it stopped. It happened when I playing through the earlier parts of the d&d dlc with a friend on the map where you find erratic wisp skeletons(those who tp constantly, unsure of their real name) for the first time. Playing on low settings, hope this helps anyone finding what it could be.

Kill skill stacking is transformative for any allegiance run with Gaige or Maya. No way I would have been able to solo Haderax on Maliwan Maya without 900 stacks of Blight Phoenix. Thx for spreading the word
Joltz can you try using the easy mode fake nova? I've forgotten how to trigger it but it's worth a shot
A deep part inside me wants to see if someone can mod the skill in, it's not really pratical, but i really want to see what's the mega stacks on other charaters are going to be(metal storm)
You mentioned the game starts hitching if you go too far with the glitch, but would it be possible to only use 1 skill point in the skills that are causing the hitching to get a bigger benefit from the others?
It's just Blight Phoenix causing that. You can stack the other skills a ton without issues.

I'm surprised the glitch doesn't work with Axton's Nuke, Zer0's Unf0reseen, or Krieg's Raving Retribution. Part of me wonders if anything like this works in TPS...

Not sure if anyone has found a legit way to do it with the other Vault Hunters, however if you get those skills on them via a Skill Tree Randomizer that could be one way to do it..
As for doing it in Vanilla, not sure that is possible unless something has been overlooked

I remember modding my character using a flash drive back when I still had a 360. Well when I upgraded to an Xbox One all my mods got patched, except for my modded Badass rank. I still have millions upon millions of points to spend lol. I don't want to go too crazy and be completely invincible and one shot kill everything like the modded stock weapons from the original Borderlands.

What about shield damage? If the glitch only works with "nova" damage, there are many ways to damage with shields. Is there anything replicate it in code?
Just a thought, if I remember correctly a bunch of assets and mechanics from bl1 were used in bl2. With that in mind could this"fake kill skill" stacking possibly work in bl1?
I had a glitcg on my first character which was axton where you could complete all 5 levels of the slag licked challenge then save quit then go back in and it would reset so you can comolete it again. i got to 90,000 badass rank with one character
god i hope theres a way to do it for axton. my 600 hour playthrough would finally come to an end...
Joltz, hear me out. If people can randomize the skills for classes, you most likely can change a single skill right? The war machine axton mod would be insane if you could stack kill skills, If I can figure that out I'm definitely doing a BL Reborn or 2.5 run with kill skill spam WM Axton.

Is there a certain angle you need to shoot to get this to work? I've only succeeded a couple of times but mostly doesn't seem to hit Hyperius even when i shoot inside his shield.
