In my case I discovered the intermittent incomplete draining and OE message was being caused by too much soap. The excess suds aren’t taken away by the pump and were stopping the machine going into the spin cycle. Easy fix!

Please do mention non return valve on self tapping waste trap at some point.
I think you on about the anti-siphon flap on the back of the pump. if so, I should've mentioned it very good point
