Laura you were born to do this…your commentary and camera work is amazing….and as said before your unique style just that wonderful plus…it’s no wonder your channel is growing leaps and bounds!
Laura your so right traveling is a wonderful experience. I decided to take my daughters they’re 25 & 26 and plan a trip. Maybe with you and Jesse, OMGosh what a wonderful time. I’m newly divorced from a bad situation at 60 years old. It’s time to celebrate this freedom 🎉 You have lifted my spirits , watching you for long time. Thank you, Peace , Love & Light
Hi Laura, I live in the Netherlands near Amsterdam. If you are ever in Amsterdam again, let me know, I could show you around the best little and big flea markets and shops.I love your videos! Louisa❤
My daughter was conceived in Amsterdam, so the city holds a special place in my heart. I even named her after Rembrandt’s wife. Saskia is now 27 with a daughter of her own. Thank you for showing me again what a wonderful place it is. Take care darling xx
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Amsterdam !!! One of my absolute favorite cities !!! The food, the history, the architecture, the shopping and the people are lovely. Your vlog is a wonderful reminder of the city. Thank you so much for showing your stopover with us. You can pack a lot into two days especially in a wonderful city such as Amsterdam.
So beautiful, the architecture along the canals is so amazing , I hope to see this with my own eyes one day . I enjoyed this so much and I thank you for that .
My gosh how I love your videos!! It must be hard to always have a camera in your hand but I appreciate it so much. I will never be able to see these places in person so I much enjoy watching your trips! Love all your videos. Stay safe!!
I just love how you manifested this for yourself. You're sooo good at what you do, because you can tell how much you love it! I need to stop being so shy and just go for it! You're a great inspiration!
Hi from Holland, I follow you for years and never new you are part Dutch. Cool. Great to see you enjoyed Amsterdam, you had luck with the wonderful weather. Want wait for the marrocan vlogs! Roos
I love Amsterdam and Waterlooplien market! I always keep space in my suitcase for vintage treasure found there. There is a great coffee shop next to the market too. I take the Eurostar from central London to central Amsterdam in 3 hours. It’s great to be there back there with you. Thanks Laura!
Thank you for sharing your travel experiences with us. Traveling the world has thought me to open up my mind to new cultures and new cuisines. I know how frustrating travel can be but it is all worth it. I had been blessed in my life to visit many countries like Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Belize, Canada, etc...the world is waiting for you to go and explore. We only have one life to live. Live it to the fullness and be kind.
This is so amazing you have been able to visit all those locations. You are so correct! So often we take it all for granted and kindness is everything ❤️ I’m currently dreaming of Egypt and Mexico City. Hoping to make at least one of those happen next year!
Your advice about talking to locals and other travellers is so dead on. I lived in Germany for 3 years and travelled several countries using this advice. Wonderful video, you film, edit, curate, voice over so well it feels like network television akin to Anthony Bourdain, and other travel shows. Bravo you young lady.👏❤️👏 And a night in Paris is a lovely thing, but I totally understand the tears. I think most people would do the same.
You and Jess make me h appy seeing all the foreign country's and all the goodies love that you are sharing this experience for people that can't go .I watch your episodes every nite and iam getting a education fun to see how happy this has made so many people. Lv to you both safe travels
Gosh, I went to bed last night and this morning I woke up in Amsterdam on my way to a fab trip to Morocco! Thank you for taking me along with you:-)) I love this type of video, Laura. Amsterdam is so beautiful and it looks like its a great place to find some special treasures. I cant wait for "our" next stay - in exotic Morocco! Exciting! xx
Laura and Jesse you are amazing👍. Love seeing the world thru your videos. It's beautiful. I fell like I'm there, you miss nothing. The places, people and food are exciting to see. Thank you for another beautiful tour. Be safe stay happy.
Hi, Laura. I'm Ana, an architect from Brazil. Love your videos! This one specially, since I heard some brazilian music... bossa nova and samba. Thanks for sharing such amazing experiences!!!
Amsterdam is definitely on my wish list to travel to. 😍 It's so wonderful to see all of the beautiful buildings, antique/vintage shops & food there. I'll definitely be checking out these places when I get a chance to visit there. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful trip Laura! 😊💕💕💕
Lovely trip! Thank you! I would recommend the evening tour on the canals in Amsterdam, I think they call it the lover’s tour. But it’s basically the same as the daytime, but even more magical with the night lights.
Thanks for bring back wonderful memories from the Netherlands…. My parents home country…. My heritage….. it was great hearing the Dutch accents!! Can’t wait to go again to visit family and treasure hunting
Oh Laura! I found your thrifting videos by accident. Then I found your house videos, on purpose (I even recognized your new house from a listing I saw in a mid century FB group that I'm a member of) and now I'm enjoying your trip to Amsterdam video! I visited Amsterdam way back in November 1983 but it was cold and rainy and I only visited local things like cheese shops because I went on bus trips with other wives looking for something to do while tagging along on their husbands' business trips lol. Thank you (from Canada) for a "look back" on what it could have been like if it had been sunny and summery and touristy.
It was nice seeing your travel in Amsterdam. My great grandparents came to the US from Holland. Sadly that is all the family history that I know. I can't travel , health stuff, But it was neat to see the buildings and such.
We brought the Pesto home and shared it at a family gathering and everyone loved it! Best cheese I’ve had. Which one was from your hometown? I’ll have to try it next time 😁
I love Amsterdam, we went there last year, 2021 and to the Waterlooplein Market. I bought a big vintage wooden bowl for 3 euros, a very big vintage metal and enamel candle holder for 1 euro, and a big bag of second hand jerseys for 25 euros. It was so much fun. It is such a vibrant, beautiful, creative city. So glad you enjoyed yourselves. 😁👌 Such a bummer about the flight. I feel your heartache. 😢 You made lemonade from lemons and did see Paris. 🤗Next on my bucket list. Can't wait to see your Moroccan adventure next. ✔️😉💐
Love to watch the thrifting overseas. I actually thrifted a great leather purse from Amsterdam at GW the night before watching your video. It's a dR Amsterdam crossbody in a burgundy colored leather. I pd. $8 and really love it. Love your videos and seeing places I will probably not have an opportunity to visit. Can't wait for Morocco, the colors and the bling!
Amsterdam one of my favorite cities. Next time try the Westerstraat also known as Wesrermarkt in Jordaan open only on Mondays and known especially for textiles, some clothing.
Always get to know the locals, they’ll lead you to the best food spots that usually aren’t mentioned on an pamphlet or online. I’ve always wanted to go just to get in a boat ride and of course eat.
Went to Amsterdam for our first wedding anniversary 28 years ago. Unfortunately, didn’t go thrift shopping, it was before I discovered it! Must go there again! I went to a few museums. The one I remember the most was Anne Frank’s house, where they hid her and her family. I rem ember the steps were incredibly steep, and amazed how small the space was where she hid! The other funny thing was I was wondering I noticed was they had a marijuana cafe next to a police station. This was way before they made it legal in other states or countries. We went on a river cruise around and they had different Dutch cheeses and crackers, plus wine. We rented bikes to get around, which was fantastic. Also, had an amazing ice cream sundae, at a Haagan Daz ice cream shop. I remember it was all white chocolate, ice cream and sauce, amazingly delicious.
I loved my Hollandish wooden cloggs as a child. You would love Ghent and Brugges too in Belgium. Bitterballen, maatjesharing en poffertjes are my favorite food from the Netherlands I have visited Paris 3 times so far. Have famaly living in Orly near Paris I have 3 types of tangines. A terra cotta one a steal one and a ornate decorated one. I have famaly living in Marokko, Oujda Greetings XXX
Hi Laura, rewatching your Amsterdam trip❤️ I had a thought. Wouldn’t it be fun to bring a door knob home from each country you visit to gift your home something to remind you of the country? I know you have other objects, but this would stay with your house after you’re long gone and it wouldn’t have to be mid century. Maybe have little wooden tags with the country to hang on each door knob or cabinet knob. I bring a Christmas ornament back. You do such a wonderful job, can’t wait for more🤗🤗! This might be a crazy idea??🤪
Yay new Laura!! I just got my first little haul at goodwill for $28 I had so much fun today for the first time in a long time. Thank you for reminding me of my love of thrifting. I got some great finds!! ❤
Looks like another great trip; I just knew you were going to buy that Bitossi vase. Well one is never left hungry there in Amsterdam! Sorry you missed your connection; there are no coincidences and everything happens as it should as you will look back and be glad.
Hii Laura, I'm from Indonesia..and I'm execited when you said want to eat Indonesian food..Have you ever been here?🤗 Come here and go to flea market..😍😍
Hey Laura, loved your video and I hope you enjoyed Amsterdam! Im a little sad you missed out on the best vintage shops and kilo sale in de Havenstraat! But who knows maybe next time... ;) If you want traditional dutch food please try a real stampot like Hutspot, Boerenkool or Zuurkool. These are my favourites. It is also fun to try the traditional kroket, frikadel or kaassoufle from a snack wall! And something really dutch is erwtensoep. All delicious if you ask me :) I hope you had a great time in Amsterdam and I can't wait to see your Maroc adventure! Greetings from Eindhoven, the Netherlands!
Thank you for the tips!! We hope to come back again soon 😁 We had a wonderful time in Amsterdam! I wanted to make it to the Kilo shop but we didn’t have enough time this trip 🥺 Hopefully next time! ❤️
