Great to watch the events here in Australia. Worked in Canada for 15 years. Both of my children born in Canada . I have always held Canada near and dear to my heart.

i was right by the big spider statue at the art museum across the st from Major's hill park and the big cathedral, and holy shit we were close as we could get. The sparks flew right over our heads and we were a bit nervous about the willows' tails raining down on us. The show was unlike anything i have ever seen, and I have seen countless good, bad, great, and mediocre fireworks shows. The finale was complete insanity and the giant shells were incredible.

I visited my sister in Ottawa and we went to the parliament and did not know this was happening so it was a really good to see it while we drove by

I was in new Edinburgh and the smoke blocked the entire show, and later descended onto us, creating artsy god-rays.
good to see our environmental sector preventing all those dangerous sulfur compounds from entering the atmosphere.
I wonder if the 5 hour wait in line to get to parliament hill was worth it...
I was on the Hill by 12:45pm; it took me about 90 minutes to get through security.
Jill H Huh? You didn't need to go through security to see the fireworks. Lots of people just didn't pass through and watched the fireworks in the area beside security and the river.

Totally wish I could have seen this live, but no way was I going to deal with the crowds and fuss on parliament. This will do. Way too many camera changes (imo stick to the zoomed out parliament view and/or the bridge. The zoomed in ones were useless and ruins what you're trying to capture), but that's what i get for watching in the comfort of my home :P

Who actually watches the fireworks from the Hill? Tip for next year: Just go to Lowertown -- better view and less of a crush.

At majors hill, it was loud enough, and worked well in a lot of places with the music. The sound when filming that far away is hard to capture, but it was fantastic.

Are we going to cancel this every time another mass grave is found? Like I think everyone in Canada knows there were residential schools. I'm all for education but they're not going to reclaim all of the land because they were conquered and they can now choose to move on and take advantage of the opportunities available.

Calgary had a much better display that lasted almost 30 minutes. 3 times near the 25 minute mark of the video the fireworks display 150.
Sheila Pearse Did you actually watch the Calgary fireworks? They were a joke compared to these! They might have run longer, but they were like watching a runny nose.
LoL your final line tells me the maturity of your response. Can you not disagree without the 5 yr old comment. BTW....yes I did watch them and thoroughly enjoyed them as did the other thousands of people that watched. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but to compare it to a runny nose is sad.

WoW, was that ever super lame!All this hype for this???MORE SMOKE THAN ANYTHING, I've seen at least 30 plus Canada day fire work displays and this was very sub par for the over sensationalized media hype they played on it.Didn't miss a thing, thank goodness.
Somehow, Calgary did it better.
