1958 Chevrolet Impala
VIN: F58S119353
This ’58 Impala was inherited from the brother-in-law of the previous owner, he did not know much about the car, but we’ve done our research. This Impala came highly optioned from the factory, including features like power steering, power brakes, and power windows. The Impala has been through a frame-off restoration that was done beautifully. Every nut and bolt, component, and piece of material on the interior has been replaced or re-conditioned. These 1958 Impalas had the option of being ordered with a factory air suspension system which GM called "Level Air". These systems were notorious for leaking and many were returned to the dealer to be replaced with normal springs. This particular vehicle has been equipped with a modern air suspension system which enhances the reliability and performance over the factory system. The underside has a thin rust oxide primer laid down and a nicely painted frame. It will be hard to find a nicer '58 Impala than this one!

THAT was my very first car. I bought it in 1961. Someone in town had won it and had just traded it in. I got a call from a friend who worked at the dealer and took out a loan and it was mine. Now the sad part. I got drafted three years later and put the car in storage. My father sold it while I was in Germany and gave the money to my sister who had to get married. I never did get the money from that deal. Oh well. I'd love another one but I'm getting too old to drive so I'll just keep looking at videos like this and keep dreaming about the good old days.

Chevrolet never made a ugly Impala. Ever! 1958 the first time for the Impala. Most beautiful car for the 50's is the Impala.
Much more better than a brand new one , the factory's never had that much of quality we have nowadays !

1955-1971 the coolest years in American history, the coolest years for cars.
One of a kind 58’. Back in 58’ this wasn’t liked by all the 57’ was phenomenal and people didn’t take to the 58’. But looking at this car I think it’s every bit sharp as a 57’.
That is nice. When I was young, I am old now, my neighbor had a black 58. Loved riding in that car.

That is certainly a love it or hate it color. Probably the least popular that year? That 348 engine was underrated. Such a sweet sound and rugged dependability. Don’t care for the mods but agree that it’s a VERY nice car!

This is an automatic. However, I think you are thinking of of a three on the tree type shifter.
Why does the air suspension control exhaust air inside the car ? , that car should have been original with a cast iron power glide , this is certainly the nicest 58 I have seen in a while

I hate it when they take a classic and ruin it by making it sit on the ground - like they never did! Ruins the car...just my opinion. I hate that. I like the modification of the power windows, but the copper on the doors are a bit much.
