- Blue Crabs on handlines, in this video we'll be in Mississippi catching Blue Crabs. We had a great day using only handlines and chicken for bait. After stopping at 3 spots we finally started catching Blue Crabs.
The crabbing was fast and it wasn't long before we had more than enough crabs for our dinner, the only problem was an alligator hanging around waiting to steal our bait.
We steamed the Blue Crabs, put them on ice, brought them home and made some delicious Crab Burgers. Catch and Cook #bluecrabs #catchingbluecrabs #cookingbluecrabs # - กีฬา

Sam & Joyce, I love lobster and my husband loves crab...so after watching your videos I got some things together in the kitchen...all home-made...I made Crab with Cheese Tortellini with a light tomatoe sauce. For my lobster, I went with Lobster in a garlic bread roll with butter and lemon...salad, our garden green beans from last year cooked with onion and bacon...made a graham cracker crust pudding pie for dessert.

A friend fried her green beans in her bacon grease then put the bacon in to I had never heard of it and it was delicious

Envious of you, living in Illinois, there aren't many places in the US further from saltwater then I am, therefore I craved seafood in a big way. I remember back in the early 70s catching crabs from the docks in Newport, OR but never with a line. We had 1 round crab pot to pull up lickity split then graduated to a boat & 4 pots.
I've done some Crabbing in Oregon, it's a different game out there, heavier pots, deeper water, big bait and big crab. I'd like to get out there again. Thanks for Watching our videos

Just bought dozen crabs on Monday. I live near Philadelphia PA. 40 dollars for dozen number 2 They have really got expensive. Love videos take care.

I just looked up where gators love to eat blue crabs. I saw a video of a gator eating a big snapping turtle so the shells are no problem for gators to eat. I always thought gators would eat anything that did not eat them first. LOL Great video and big nice crabs.

@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors I finally found the salt free kind. it was in a much smaller container than the “original” salted type.. and only one store had the salt free, but i found it and cant wait to try it. i may even do a little youtube video about it. ;-)

How is the alligator area the "safe" area Sam? Lol!! 😅 That gator was waiting for one of you to fall through that rickety pier!! Really great recipe! I will have to try it...but I will have to buy my crab since I live in Chicago. I am hoping to move to Florida after my husband retires in 2 years...I'm 64 and a retired RN so just waiting on him! 😊

Old Bay is for shrimp. JO #2 is is for crab!!! Huge fight about that in the Maryland area!!! lol EDIT: Try cooking your corn in the microwave with the husks still on it. It steams inside the husks and it's SO crispy and delicious. I always cut the end off on the end where you don't peel it from. I go a bit deeper, just a pinch into the corn itself rather than just cutting it off at that hard part of the cob. I cut it before I cook it because it just gets so hot. If you cut it right, the corn will just slide completely out, leaving no silk behind. It tastes better, and no peeling at all. It doesn't get at all soft like it does when boiled. There are You Tube videos of it if you've never done it before. Though, you probably have already tried it. I just cut it before cooking and I cut it a bit deeper than any of the videos I have seen. I got tired of being burned.

You're right Rose, we got chased out of a spot here in Florida a couple of days ago by a gator. There are too many of them.
