My missus want allowed to do Halloween trick or treat as a kid so she thinks it a bit odd. But we both love autumn, its the best time of the year!

Jen’s on it with the Halloween prep I have even started thinking about pulling decorations out. She’s definitely got her priorities in order though. my family always treats Halloween with a bigger celebration than thanksgiving and occasionally even Christmas.

I wish you many, many trick-r-treaters. We finally gave it up about 10 years ago. No kids visiting & no place to take our kids. The last trick-r-treater we got was about 2003 or 4 & that was a desperate kid that got stuck in the emergency room. My wife was getting something out of our van & had turned the light on outside. That kid got a literal ton of candy from us. We stock up enough to be eating Halloween candy when school starts back in August. LOL

If I had my treat bags ready this early I wouldn't have any on Oct 31
I easily get over 100 trick or treaters. Sometimes they come in big groups of 10 or more. (Last year I didn't get as many with people being cautious about COVID, but I still got maybe 40-50. I sat outside with my real black cat.) I usually give 2-3 "fun size" candy bars like Reese's peanut butter cups or Snickers to each kid. You have definitely given me some ideas to raise the bar!

"I almost killed you" Well, Halloween is the deadliest season. Those sweet bags are adorable and would genuinely make good asmr props. And 15 bags sounds very prepared but not yet overdoing it.

We used to never have kids show up, so this year I didn't buy as much treats. Just got some just in case, I can just eat them myself if they aren't given away, right? I completly ran out this year because so many kids showed up, it was crazy!
You made some pretty great packages, but as I kid I would have been scared by those spider rings 😀

Jen, the thing to do when you move to a new neighborhood is to ask your neighbors how many kids usually stop by. If for no other reason than it is a nice excuse to talk to your new neighbors.
Suggestion for future video, you capture a poor Halloween kid, and cover him, or her in the temporary tatts.....perhaps even a pumpkin carving video where you apply some temporary tatts to that :) hopefully either way there's a pumpkin carving video though, always a fun one.

As far as that "too early for Halloween" bs... with how awful last year was, I decided to cheer myself up by starting getting ready for Halloween at the start of August. Why not? I'm not imposing it on anyone or even putting up decorations yet, so who cares? It's something I enjoy with my little cousins, so I've continued the tradition this year too. Do whatever makes you happy as long it's not hurtful to yourself or others

Is it socially exceptable not to open the door to Tick or treaters? We have a similar festivity in my country too, but it is in late winter. I remember my family being quite poor and we would simply not open the door for dress uppers to give them Candie or money (which is tradition).
I LOVE Halloween, even though my country does not celebrate it. But Treaters would drive me nuts.
Where I come from the etiquette is to leave your porch light off if you don't want any trick-or-treaters! Parents typically only bring their kids to doors that are lit up for obvious reasons.
Where I live, children going door-to-door mostly ceased to be a thing in the 1980s. When I lived in a large apartment building, people were asked to bring candy to the main-floor office which would then distribute it. I have not had anyone come to my door for decades.

We dont get kids round here just teens chancing for money. If you dont get a lot of "customers" maybe you could donate a few of the bags to a childrens centre, or hospital or something like that, you know the type of thing I mean Im sure it would be well received if you didnt want them sitting around till next year.
We hardly ever get trick or treaters come to our door! I think in the past 7 years, we've had maybe two or three but that's it. But it means I get to eat all the tangfastic Haribos myself anyway
