I was raised Russian and Jewish. So for Christmas, I celebrate with my husband and his mother and we open gifts on Christmas Day. But with my family we actually celebrate on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. We watch the same movie that comes out every year, we have a nice dinner together, and open gifts as a family. And we and the heat watching the ball drop together. Past few years because we had some loses in the family (one on Christmas morning and one a little bit before Christmas) and covid in general, have made the holidays hard for us to be together. Hopefully this year, we will be able to be together

I'm just rewatching for the 3rd time, first time I've made it far enough to hear Sparky has passed. I'm so sorry! He certainly played a main character in your past wrapping videos. May I warn...puppies are so difficult. I will never get one again after having raised one who is now 2. 2 is like the magic age, so I'd recommend adopting a dog at least 2 years old from a shelter. My friend tried to warn me of the same and I regret not listening to her. She adopted an older dog and is living the life of ease lol Merry Christmas Jen! I will be starting my day having my teen open her presents and then we will later go to my parents for dinner with family and present exchange there. 😊

Actually in Poland we always have christmas dinner on christmas eve, and after dinner we open our presents. Days after that are kinda regular days but with christmas atmosphere and closed stores.
After all these years of making this video. I think for at least 10 years, no one has bought a tape dispenser for you. Too bad you live so far away, otherwise I would have given you a tape dispender as a gift.

I come to these every year to see if Jen still has the loud af tape roll because she forgets to get a tape dispenser.
I always really enjoy these videos, they're just chill and super nice. I love that hedgehog and those guinea pig shakers, you don't even have to use them as shakers they could be super cute on a shelf as decoration or something. Christmas eve me and my family just hang out and watch movies but Christmas day we have a nice dinner and celebrate. Since me and my younger sister are in our thirties (I'm 34, she's 31) and childfree we end up getting presents for our pets, it's fun watching my dog rip open his gifts and our cats just not care at all lol.

For Christmas we have two dinners we have one on Christmas Eve and one on Christmas Day but we eat early on both days
For me, Christmas and New Year are almost normal days. The only special thing is that I eat lamb on Christmas day. Christmas died when my mother died, 14 years ago. My boyfriend's mother died 2 years ago so he doesn't celebrate Christmas anymore. Being emigrants also makes Christmas less meaningful I think, since we have no family in the country

P.S. In Northern-Eastern Europe, main holiday is Christmas Eve. Very deep traditions, dinner, gifts. Christmas is usually a boring and relaxed day to be with family. Second Christmas day, or "Boxing Day", as you Anglosaxons call it, is for visiting friends.

Christmas tradition! I can’t believe it’s been another year, I can practically bookmark my life by these videos! BTW a Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, isn’t an American thing so far as I know. A lot of us may have individualized family traditions for Christmas Eve, but I believe everyone still does the big stuff on Christmas day.

for my family when ever there's a plush or clothes(something like that) we put it in a bag and put one piece of tape on the top on each side to close it. or just leave it in a box then wrap it up.
