How you "hold the line" when your kids have emotional dmg because of how those bastards monetize the video games aim to kids? How parents fight corporations with hundreds of employees who are smarter than you (in this field) and all they do is to make your kids want to buy stuff? To "own" stuff. The fact that I have played fifa and before you didn’t even need a high rated team before just to get some wins in fut champs or divisions And now you have to either pay fit coins for fc 24 or get fc points to get packs and “pack players” (even though you may not) and then you keep on spending money on the game to get prime r9 just to get base Bobby Moore and even get some bad players just so you can keep on spending money on the game, it’s genius and cheeky but it makes games not fun and get horrible gameplay instead of how the game started, and then there’s the power curve that makes players high rated for no reason at all, like from fifa 17 to 20 there was an addition of only 4 promos, a healthy amount and then there were 5 promos added in fifa 21 and 5 more promos in fifa 22 and then they added 3 or 4 new promos to fifa 23 and then they added 2 new promos wich should be a healthy amount but at this point the game is already ruined with pay2wins and there’s no way of saving the game unless they remove some promos like fire vs ice, trailblazers,fc pro, winter wildcards, dynasties, thunderstruck or even radioactive, they would Ruin the game cause they are useless, there could just be totw,Toty, tots, ucl card, uel card, uecl card, Copa libertadores cards, Copa Sudamerica cards, recopa America cards and finaly end of the season cards, just 10 not 100 promos every week Not to mention some useless sbc’s

1:01 the free helmets for this specific armour look better than the paid ones. Also the multiplayer is free, but I wish that you would get all battlepasses for buying the campaign because that's what you got in old halo games, all cosmetics for buying the game.
In my honest opinion, the only reason I'll ever be okay with microtransactions is if the game is free to play and it doesn't give players blatant advantages.
I agree with most of the points you said, however there is one that is exaggerated and that is with Star Wars Battlefront 2. I'm huge fan of star wars so I've played it in beta and bought it right after the release. I've heard tons of people complaining about the lootboxes and it was frustrating to play against people who had maxed cards within a day. Move forward 4-5 days and I've had maxed cards as well as those who spent money on it... If I remember correctly, the most overpowered card was that increased radius of explosion for granades, so it was the first one I tried to max out and so I did. Yea some characters (such as Vader) were so overpriced it was absurd, but they change it pretty quickly and learned from their mistake (kinda). And in the end, even if you had everything maxed it didn't mean you would win every game. It's 32v32 game. Only time you would win is with cheater (and there were a lot of them). Ofc at that time even small lootboxes were huge deal, but now we have sh*t like diablo immoral tldr. = SWB2 hate is over exaggerated (doesn't mean it's not justified).
It's not justified to the extent of constantly being fed misinformation about, by people that haven't played it during launch. The only upgrade card you got maxed out with money was if you pre-ordered the game for the thermal grenade. But it wasn't broken realistically, to the average new player that are clueless they would walk into it and die to it. But it didn't hold a candle to the Vanguard cards + survival training (whichever the one that gave you health on kill) which you had to grind for by playing the game. In all honesty, there was a small few starcards that were busted for ground combat. The ground unit bonuses werent as egregious as the space combat cards. Those were next levels of unfair for sure. The heroes cost was bad for sure, but if one played the campaign (which was short) you would have enough to get someone as high costing as Vader.
I see tons of videos like this and still can't understand why people continuously try to argue that gaming is 'dead' or its on a 'downward spiral'. The quality in the games that have come out this year alone has been incredible, some games are damn near better than Oscar winning movies in terms of story and visuals. With every amazing game you'll get 50 bad ones because the market is saturated all to hell but that doesn't mean gaming is dead, quite the opposite really...
I agree but, as for me, I never supported microtransactions. Heck, I never supported any game that has it. You know how I did it? Via playing ONLY the single player video games. But that is just a one way of how I did it. The other one is, by downloading "fully free" versions of the game, if you know what I mean. And only after those games got everything. Like all DLCs and stuff like that. The only games that I legally purchased in my entire life for the PC, is Assassins Creed 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Clear Sky and game called Collapse. But I regret it for the AC2 because, it had that stupid Uplay dog shit that I had to kill via fan made fixes, just to play the game. But I don't regret anything about Stalker - Clear Sky or Collapse. Those games were interesting and I had a fun time playing them, thus why I don't regret my wasted money. Sure, there were also a games that I wish to get officially by buying them, which is what I figured out a lot later, but I'm not that rich, so I decided to save money for food and for buying something useful for myself and my close people, than just wasting them on video games that I would probably don't like.
Man.. none of this wouldve happened if it werent for games like Advanced Warfare having op guns locked behind crates.. like actual, full on guns that you couldnt get otherwise. If the name “obsidian steed” gives you chills, you know why 😭
This shit was broken thats why COD was never good since the ps4 era everything got worse for call of duty yes even elitist veteran gamer admitted cod was decent to good at some point Everything modern is pure trash
I never spend any money in any video game! I eighter buy the game once if it is for sale, or if it is "Free-to-Play" then I just simply never ever spend any money on the game!
i raise you one further, one of my favourite games Call Of Duty Ghosts (im aware I am a very small minority who likes that game) but that has micro transactions out the wazoo, camos, special characters, skins for the default character, voice operators, a fucking wolf skin for the dog kill streak
I’ll raise you want even further the government wants nothing to do with intervening with these companies because they just said predatory loot boxes are illegal and basically nothing else They haven’t made any kind of ruling in the video game industry ever since predatory loot boxes, and even then they still have predatory loot boxes in some games Maybe these games wouldn’t be so predatory and literally break the laws if the government actually hold them accountable Cause recently you, Visa is getting rid of the crew game that people paid $70 for That has no single player they’re shutting down the servers because the games old and they want people to buy the crew two That will get shut down in a few years We definitely need the US government to step in again, but they won’t because they think they did such a good job getting rid of predatory gambling in loot boxes But they don’t really care about predatory, business, practises or theft of the product from the consumer because they continue to believe that video games are a service not a product so you can take services away whenever you want. You bought that $70 game well too bad they’re gonna take away. . You spent over $1000 on micro transactions. Well we’re gonna take all your micro transactions skins away and keep your money. Because they have the power to do that They can literally take your micro transactions way, simply because they want to And because it’s not a physical product and is considered a service not a good, it’s not considered theft Your entire video game library could be deleted and it won’t be considered theft because you don’t have on your video games they are considered a service
Any of those like fun little in the puzzle games Because I have seen a few Because most of them are not capable of putting micro transactions like two dots I don’t think they have micro transactions
Came from the asmon vid. Glad to see someone talking about wiz's garbage pack system. It to this day utterly baffles me how the community blindly defends the shit they pedal, like you would think a $500 dollar virtual scooter would make more people privy to how scummy it's been getting but apparently not. Why improve a game when we can settle for mediocrity and cash grabs!
Gaming Brother pls don't submit to this all money hungry gaming company We deserve better than any microtransaction or loot-box We are not they marketing-slave just buy every thing they sold
Totally BS, that Games-Developer does today. Game in development for so long and then they are bugged as f... and you BUY a Game for ~70 €/$ with that? Microtransactions? In a Fullprice Game, no thanks! Look at Diablo 4 lowes Price is 80€, but it suffered from lacking content (e.x. no Sets and no Runewords) and a useless Battlepass (most of the contet is for cosmetics). Im so close to quit playing videogames (i play over 36 years videogames) for ever. Maybe i should playing with LEGO again. I hope the EU will ban Lootbox-Mechanics entirely. Best regards from germany and thanks for this great Video!
Good luck with your channel Look at all the events that happened at the beginning of cod mw2022 till now and add that you list list! It's gotten so bad for cod players :(
same old talk, I wonder how many ´´why video games suck, why micro is fcking our fun blablabla´´ still nothing is gonna change, and the whole ´´speak with ur wallet´´ it´s just dumb to say cause most ppl don´t even use their own wallet.
Micro transactions using book printing laws of Bitcoin bookkeeping. Like, they are needing to have a physical book item printing number and receipt of burning/ destroying to ashes (stock brokers laws). (Same is true with expired objects? Clothes have expiration dates?). Such that video game publishers are enforcing the laws and ordinances of book keeping all micro transactions using printing of books. Would make interactive stories and roleplaying using decides fate physical book copies. And would make Bitcoins have honest value. (Cool with the story about the USPS suitcase electric skateboard cars (tootl?) About the laws and ordinances of driving records and vehicle and rode insurance. Like, the electric skateboard is like a gocart with add-ons like roll-cage and high-powered and so forth. Like it has a Bitcoin wallet and a mind of it's own and goes to different capitol cities, 'picks up shipments of books for book-keeping physical copies' and ships them.( High rollers and ankle biters? Ankle monitorer using person's and having to print out everything by books, is it a good thing or bad thing?). Regarding satellite drones and NASA and wanting to print everything out into books (every photograph of outer space and radio documents is made into a physical printed book? Hmm).). Printing spare parts like "if you do that I'm going to do that..."
I loved the video, i made a comment there but his editor never reads them so i write it here aswell. I don't agree with Asmon saying that Star Wars Battlefront 2 backlash didn't matter because in my opinion it had a huge impact. I don't have facts to back this up but i'm like 1000% certain Jedi Fallen Order is a result of that backlash, there's no way they wouldn't try something with it if there was no backlash, but it were and we got a really good game because of that, who could've known.
Yeah It had a big impact actually because other companies drew back on their microtransactions to comply with new laws that were put into place to protect children from online gambling
This right here is exactly the reason I will never play newer modern games of a new system, the core gameplay is ruined with the over abundance of content accessible through microtransactions. This is also how digital gaming is not better.
I miss the days when the only micro transactions that existed were $5-30 dollar DLC that didn’t add content that was supposed to originally be in the base game but add to it.
Have you heard of Asphalt 9? You can literally spend over $1K and still not get one of the special legendary cars. Even if you do get it after spending your entire account balance, you will hardly be able to star it up. Glad I quit that game. It’s a shame cause the game is very fun and has amazing graphics but progression is very slow and requires a lot of grinding
One thing that pisses me off more than micro transactions is the fact that the US government doesn’t want to step in on predatory micro transactions because they stepped in with predatory loot boxes, and haven’t done a ruling since Actually, the government been putting themselves on the back saying that they’ve done a good job making the Gaming space so much better for kids, even though they literally have so many other issues that they’re ignoring like predatory Gaming of micro transactions that create Gaming addictions and general addiction And study show kids who are willing to buy micro transactions are more willing to gamble their money away when they’re old enough So maybe micro transactions isn’t good because it teaches kids nothing about the value of a dollar because they think $15 is OK to buy for one fortnight skin So they’re gonna think $15 for a bowl of soup is OK
It seems like most AAA companies as soon as you boot up the game it’s asking you for money after you bought the game They look at call of duty every time you login and it’s asking you for money And if you don’t have an active battle, pass it, asking you to buy it At this point it doesn’t feel like they’re asking feels like they’re telling us to buy it or we can’t have fun It won’t be long until they’re putting core game mechanics behind a pay wall fallout 76 is already done that with the scrap box
I bought the new BFII back on launch day. Ended up returning it the day after i bought it. Got into a fight with the manager at gamestop because they wouldn't let me return an opened game. Ended up charging back my credit card. Got all my money back and got the game for free. Never played it through.
I will always stand by the belief that gamers could end this trend of microtransactions being jammed into everything if we just didn't buy them, but I guess we don't have the self control for that.
The problem isn't the average gamer, it's the whales. Most gamers do have self-control and spend very little on microtransaction or nothing at all, but all it takes is a few high spenders dropping hundreds or even thousands of dollars per day to prop up the whole scam.
This is why I still play only PC games and only old classics like Diablo 2, Wotlk, Baldur's gate, Planescape: Torment etc, or newer crowdfunded games which are microtransaction-free and are spiritual successors of the classics, for example: Pillars of Eternity, Planescape: Numenera.
I truly hope only kids pay for this stuff. I can picture an actual adult paying 70 dollars for a game and THEN pay some more money only because the devs put artificial difficulty in their game. It's actually sad.
Wtf you using CoC as an example for? That game is almost all strategy, the only thing you pay for is to skip upgrade times which wont help your attacking only your defense. And even then you have to have a good base layout otherwise you get 3starred by people your own TH level (you get 3 starred by high townhalls anyway)
GTA 5 might have the most pay to win system, BUT!!! there are more then enoth glitches to get around that pay2win system ;) but yea... i hate it! and GTA 6 will be even worse... thats for sue
Don't know why this ended up in my list. That being said, THIS is why I gave up on gaming, MICROTRANSACTIONS ... Especially when you're already paid $60 for the game itself.. (Talking to you too Nintendo.)
😂😂 I’m 36 and have NEVER bought in-game anything in my life, not even in PUGB. And I never buy new release games, I still have many games I haven’t played and I find them at pawn shops, I’ve never spent more than $5 for any game. I’m a man of principle and I’m very hyper aware when companies try to grape me. And also, I have other hobbies that have a much better return on investment. I gym and buy expensive supplements, but the return on that is my body looking great. What exactly do you have for all that money spent on games? Nothing, literally nothing.
Micro transactions constitute a big part of the revenue of gaming companies. Therefore, they are not going away any time soon. In fact, other companies will also adopt this at some point of time. Second, gaming companies haven't lost any touch. They are intentionally creating bad games which are not fun to play. Their focus is entirely on how to develop a game and which can force gamer to spend real life money in someway. They are consciously putting everything behind micro transactions which can make a game fun. If they don't then gamers wouldn't spend any money on it. These companies are no longer run by people who had passion for gaming. They are run by pure businessmen whose only aim is to maximise profits as much as possible every year. If you think that console or pc gaming sucks then play mobile games and mobile games are full of micro transactions.. Not just you have to pay for fun but you also have to tolerate advertisement.
I can proudly say i have never and will never pay for microtransactions. I even research DLC when i buy it just to make sure it has enough content to be worth investing in to. Im immediately skeptical of any game that is multiplayer and even mobile games will never get a dime from me. I was about to get helldiver 2 until i saw the micro transactions. My best friend is literally one of those whales for many games and he keeps trying to get me to play that stupid shit. No matter how many times i tell him no and how what he is doing is going to push companies towards making pay to play per hour he seems to think there is nothing wrong with it and I "just don't like good games"
Damn that political clip just makes my stomach turn. The fact that someone is paid to call thinly veiled gambling parlor a "surprise mechanic" in front of politicians just makes me want to scream.

Ofc at that time even small lootboxes were huge deal, but now we have sh*t like diablo immoral
tldr.
Nba 2k is one of a prime example of sport pay to win
I see tons of videos like this and still can't understand why people continuously try to argue that gaming is 'dead' or its on a 'downward spiral'. The quality in the games that have come out this year alone has been incredible, some games are damn near better than Oscar winning movies in terms of story and visuals. With every amazing game you'll get 50 bad ones because the market is saturated all to hell but that doesn't mean gaming is dead, quite the opposite really...
I’ll never forget 2017 and EA
This shit was broken thats why COD was never good since the ps4 era everything got worse for call of duty yes even elitist veteran gamer admitted cod was decent to good at some point
Everything modern is pure trash
I never spend any money in any video game!
I eighter buy the game once if it is for sale, or if it is "Free-to-Play" then I just simply never ever spend any money on the game!
EA has taken so much of my money thanks for reminding me
😂😂😂
Can't you get the recon armor in H3 by buying all the map packs and completing a few challenge runs?
i raise you one further, one of my favourite games Call Of Duty Ghosts (im aware I am a very small minority who likes that game) but that has micro transactions out the wazoo, camos, special characters, skins for the default character, voice operators, a fucking wolf skin for the dog kill streak
I’ll raise you want even further the government wants nothing to do with intervening with these companies because they just said predatory loot boxes are illegal and basically nothing else
They haven’t made any kind of ruling in the video game industry ever since predatory loot boxes, and even then they still have predatory loot boxes in some games
Maybe these games wouldn’t be so predatory and literally break the laws if the government actually hold them accountable
Cause recently you, Visa is getting rid of the crew game that people paid $70 for
That has no single player they’re shutting down the servers because the games old and they want people to buy the crew two
That will get shut down in a few years
We definitely need the US government to step in again, but they won’t because they think they did such a good job getting rid of predatory gambling in loot boxes
But they don’t really care about predatory, business, practises or theft of the product from the consumer because they continue to believe that video games are a service not a product so you can take services away whenever you want. You bought that $70 game well too bad they’re gonna take away.
.
You spent over $1000 on micro transactions. Well we’re gonna take all your micro transactions skins away and keep your money.
Because they have the power to do that
They can literally take your micro transactions way, simply because they want to
And because it’s not a physical product and is considered a service not a good, it’s not considered theft
Your entire video game library could be deleted and it won’t be considered theft because you don’t have on your video games they are considered a service
I saw you in the Colin and armor channel asking about the thumbnail noice
Honestly I cannot name a multiplayer game in 2020 and over that doesn’t have a ton of micro transactions
Any of those like fun little in the puzzle games
Because I have seen a few
Because most of them are not capable of putting micro transactions like two dots I don’t think they have micro transactions
FUCKING LOVE THAT ENDING!! 😆 CLIP IT AND MAKE IT A SHORT SO WE CAN SHARE IT ALL OVER THE INTERNET PLEASE
WILL DO🫡🫡🫡
@@Fuzduf yes!
100% agree because if the game company has any form of microtransactions in their games they will abuse it.
I LOVE ARAN
7:26 this part killed me, nice vid!
Gaming Brother pls don't submit to this all money hungry gaming company
We deserve better than any microtransaction or loot-box
We are not they marketing-slave just buy every thing they sold
Thanks!
HOLY!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH🙏🙏
Came here from XQC watching it on twitch, thought channel would be much bigger but wow, this is well done
Thank you so much dude ❤️
This video was very well done, I thought it was made by a bigger channel but this guy? Very underrated, keep it up!
I’m so glad Asmon reacted and enlightened me towards your content, love the humor and video style. Keep up the great work man!
Thanks so much!
@@Fuzduf thx for your Heart
Blue prints and tokens in asphalt 8 and 9
Good luck with your channel
Look at all the events that happened at the beginning of cod mw2022 till now and add that you list list! It's gotten so bad for cod players :(
Thank you for watching!
@@Fuzduf no problem! Just saw the asmongold video pop up! Congrats
ESO is more predatory then Gary Glitter
same old talk, I wonder how many ´´why video games suck, why micro is fcking our fun blablabla´´ still nothing is gonna change, and the whole ´´speak with ur wallet´´ it´s just dumb to say cause most ppl don´t even use their own wallet.
If you're not a software CEO and you defend microtransactions then you're just a bootlicker.
Dragon Dogma 2 comes to mind!
Okay not a bad video, you get a pass, sir
🫡 thanks dude
Micro transactions are not worth shit so they are not worth buying
Have you heard of Asphalt 9? You can literally spend over $1K and still not get one of the special legendary cars. Even if you do get it after spending your entire account balance, you will hardly be able to star it up. Glad I quit that game. It’s a shame cause the game is very fun and has amazing graphics but progression is very slow and requires a lot of grinding
That sounds terrible 😭
Insanely good video quality and super entertaining, good job man!! Hope you'll rise high FAST!
New gaming era is trash
Sony is going full live service
Im going to play gta 4 instead of that gta 6
You ALWAYS have some sort of choice. I have stopped playing and buying new time games. I only play retro games.
The Mobile Marketplace is completely FUCKED.
Dude Supercell games are just pay to win and it's just killing the f games, its sad
(answer to title) Yupp, gaming is dead, no one games anymore, no games are created or bought.....what a load of bull
Day 1 DLCs are so bad too, gaming sucks now
Good video, entirely agree with all the points front to back.
There needs to be legislation. Idk how but it needs to happen.
I wish I could go back in time and never pick up a multiplayer game
*single tear rolls down cheek*
Sup ya all, it's your boy, Asmonbald
One thing that pisses me off more than micro transactions is the fact that the US government doesn’t want to step in on predatory micro transactions because they stepped in with predatory loot boxes, and haven’t done a ruling since
Actually, the government been putting themselves on the back saying that they’ve done a good job making the Gaming space so much better for kids, even though they literally have so many other issues that they’re ignoring like predatory Gaming of micro transactions that create Gaming addictions and general addiction
And study show kids who are willing to buy micro transactions are more willing to gamble their money away when they’re old enough
So maybe micro transactions isn’t good because it teaches kids nothing about the value of a dollar because they think $15 is OK to buy for one fortnight skin
So they’re gonna think $15 for a bowl of soup is OK
It seems like most AAA companies as soon as you boot up the game it’s asking you for money after you bought the game
They look at call of duty every time you login and it’s asking you for money
And if you don’t have an active battle, pass it, asking you to buy it
At this point it doesn’t feel like they’re asking feels like they’re telling us to buy it or we can’t have fun
It won’t be long until they’re putting core game mechanics behind a pay wall fallout 76 is already done that with the scrap box
That asmon timing was hilarious
When will games learn that The More They Take, The Less They’ll Have? I can imagine them trying to gain more money only to lose more.
I bought the new BFII back on launch day. Ended up returning it the day after i bought it. Got into a fight with the manager at gamestop because they wouldn't let me return an opened game. Ended up charging back my credit card. Got all my money back and got the game for free. Never played it through.
Once in my life I brought game money in World of tanks.
And ever since I swore to never be scammed again ever, or this stupid game microtransations.
Great Video Fuzduf! Love the awareness to Wizard101
This is why I still play only PC games and only old classics like Diablo 2, Wotlk, Baldur's gate, Planescape: Torment etc, or newer crowdfunded games which are microtransaction-free and are spiritual successors of the classics, for example: Pillars of Eternity, Planescape: Numenera.
dude you are going to grow so big on youtube
I truly hope only kids pay for this stuff.
I can picture an actual adult paying 70 dollars for a game and THEN pay some more money only because the devs put artificial difficulty in their game.
It's actually sad.
Wtf you using CoC as an example for? That game is almost all strategy, the only thing you pay for is to skip upgrade times which wont help your attacking only your defense. And even then you have to have a good base layout otherwise you get 3starred by people your own TH level (you get 3 starred by high townhalls anyway)
FINALLY OUR CHAMPION IS HERE.
Sadly it is exactly like this!
came from xqc's channel this is a good video and you have earned a sub, made me laugh, good points. time to check out your other stuff
Thank you so much! A new video will be out in a few day too!
Saw this video on Asmon's stream. I think it's a good video - good job!
I love Genshin Impact gameplay but I stop playing it because I hate the stupid grinding and RNG with money cancer it is.
i never ever supported abusive money grabbing in general, and i pirate every recent game i can piracy is no longer a crime its self-defense.
exactly
What a masterpiece once again of the Duf.
We no longer have human beings, now there are "fans".
Why hasn’t predatory loot box mechanics been removed from smite and League of Legends
First Asmon and now xQc has reacted to your video. So cool!
Experiences, yea you have no idea boomer 😂
4:15 its so sad because halo 5s multiplayer was one of the best... maybe it wasent the halo formula but damn was it good competitive gameplay...

This one of the many reasons why i love indie games because they don't do this type of bullshit 😊
This was really good, gj getting such a good reaction out of asmon.
Nintendo and Sony are the only AAA studios that I can rely on not having microtransactions (not counting DLC because that can actually be good)
I 100% agree on this take 😂
Nice! Well Done, Fuz.
Damn that political clip just makes my stomach turn. The fact that someone is paid to call thinly veiled gambling parlor a "surprise mechanic" in front of politicians just makes me want to scream.
Indie games are da kings
honestly, well spoken
