I once had a theology major friend who I got tons of audiobooks of different religious texts for (not the Qur’an, I believe there’s a belief of “you have to be silent beyond the actual praying, no music playing whilst there’s prayers” I think? I can’t remember). They were quite chuffed.

Well Jesus was a real man. Whether he was the son of God or not is certainly debatable but whether you believe he was or not is irrelevant in my opinion. As an agnostic I'm a huge fan of Jesus and his words. He was a good wise man that just tried to help people.

I've had battery-operated products start overheating almost immediately upon putting the batteries in (scary AF, btw - esp since it most recently happened on a light-up toy that's allegedly bath-safe; we already had one, but I wanted to add another for more ambiance lol). I don't know if that's caused by a 'short' (or what, really, a short is), but I was nervous when they started saying HOW hot it was, since while those panini makers get hot, they aren't usually so to the point it's worth commenting on!

"Grilled Cheesus" reminded me of boot camp. Every Sunday, the mess hall made grilled cheese with breakfast, and we were allowed to go to church for an hour. We called it, "Grilled Cheese and Jesus Day."

Fun fact, the reason that the iron overheated is probably because you were inadvertently "overclocking it". Judging by the plug, it was imported from the US. The US' electrical grid runs on 110V. By plugging it directly into a UK plug, which supplies 230V, you damn near doubled the power going trough the heating coil. This causing it to rapidly heat up and if you left it any longer it would've melted itself. So yeah, the next time you're buying a weird Jesus iron from the internet, make sure it's rated for your country's voltage!
Here in the Philippines, we use both 110V and 220V plugs which may confuse some people, causing them to inadvertently plug a 110V appliance to a 220V plug, unless properly labeled. Thus, most appliances that we manufacture today have a 110-230V range so they can run on either plug.
For those who are impressed at Chris getting Matthew 5:9 correct. Matthew 5 is the beatitudes. It is the beginning of the sermon on the mount, one of the most famous passages in the entire bible. Priests/Pastors might have a large number of passages in their memory banks, but it isn't like church leaders have the whole bible memorized. Don't be disappointed if your church leaders can't identify random verses.

When Jesus died on the cross he death appeased the punishments of the old testemants. Also, if one person out of a hundred cheated on a test would you think that the rest of the 99 are also cheaters? It’s not just about church it’s about having a relationship with Jesus. People don’t define Jesus, Jesus does.
"Grilled Cheesus" reminded me of boot camp. Every Sunday, the mess hall made grilled cheese with breakfast, and we were allowed to go to church for an hour. We called it, "Grilled Cheese and Jesus Day."
As a Christian I had a great laugh & really enjoyed watching this 😂😂😂
I remember my grandma and basically almost any Korean elderly person in my childhood having a compact portable radio that would read the Bible out loud for them in a majestic, booming somber voice - complete with hymns and meditational music. It was some intense stuff but also a fond memory. I didn't think I would suddenly have a trip down memory lane looking at the Wonder Bible on this channel today, but here we are.

Fun fact, the reason that the iron overheated is probably because you were inadvertently "overclocking it".
Judging by the plug, it was imported from the US. The US' electrical grid runs on 110V. By plugging it directly into a UK plug, which supplies 230V, you damn near doubled the power going trough the heating coil. This causing it to rapidly heat up and if you left it any longer it would've melted itself.
So yeah, the next time you're buying a weird Jesus iron from the internet, make sure it's rated for your country's voltage!

Here in the Philippines, we use both 110V and 220V plugs which may confuse some people, causing them to inadvertently plug a 110V appliance to a 220V plug, unless properly labeled. Thus, most appliances that we manufacture today have a 110-230V range so they can run on either plug.

For those who are impressed at Chris getting Matthew 5:9 correct. Matthew 5 is the beatitudes. It is the beginning of the sermon on the mount, one of the most famous passages in the entire bible. Priests/Pastors might have a large number of passages in their memory banks, but it isn't like church leaders have the whole bible memorized. Don't be disappointed if your church leaders can't identify random verses.

A good reason why the bible still comes in written form. People don't have to memorise it and then accidentally get something wrong and embellish or omit some details.

Yes!! I definitely think it could be used as a piece of media relating to a sermon on something like "The Problem With Commercializing Religion" or something in that vein. It would be kind of shocking, though, without much context or knowledge of what to expect, so there would need to be some allotted time for laughter and bewilderment before the actual sermon portion would begin. An adjustment period. Lol
