Yeah that was one of Drew's first sculpts, along with Mad Cat and Vulture, he was learning sculpting on the fly. Quite the first effort. He was always super talented. At the same time we were working on getting Camospecs up and running, and Miniatures for the Fanpro Battletech Miniatures Rules.
@@TheMemoryCore sorry I just like the look especially that of the marauder and Marauder 2 I never really liked the original macrosse design it was too thin it looked like it could be knocked over by a stiff breeze it didn't look like some actual War machine
Definitely to each their own. Part of it depends on when you got into BattleTech. I'm not a dogmatic purist, but I do prefer the originals. You can tell when Scroggins got into the IP because so many of his redesigns mimic the Mechwarrior 4 aesthetic. I do feel the Piranha redesigns feel a bit monotone, but I see the appeal for many players.
That was neat.
Thanks for putting it up.
Love me some IWM designs.
This was a great little bit! Thanks for sharing!
Np. Adam has a knack for this sort of thing. I've been juggling around some ideas for the 20 year update presented in the same way.
God the classic marauder is scary as fuck.
No joke. I miss the old, almost alien, look.
@@TheMemoryCore It reminds me of the war of the worlds tripods.

Given it was unseen and from the anime Macross by aliens, fitting...
You missed Drew Williams 2000ish resculpt, split launcher as well.
I included that. It was the 3rd sculpt. In this video painted in the red of The Sword of Light.

Aleksandr Kerensky has entered the chat.
Great video! Love hearing about the behind the scenes development of Battletech. So what's the story with the Osts?
Working on it right now! - Dan
I'm of the opinion of the battle tech game piranha redesigns are the best looking
Meh.

@@AbouTheMagnanimus depending on the mech design I think it's been an improvement mostly for the Warhammer black knight and Marauder
