      I was wondering the same. The way the door slants out has me concerned.

    I picked up one of these “used” from Amazon for $58 plus tax. It’s actually not too bad putting it up even solo in somewhat windy conditions. Even putting the rain fly on in the wind is easy once you can clip in one corner at a time very, very easily. I like how they did that.
    I’m not going to use this very much, as it won’t fit my whole family but on the off chance I go solo camping or with my just my son it will be fine.
    The overall quality is just OK. For $58 I’m pretty happy but I’m not sure I would have been if I’d paid $179. But if you take care of it, it should be fine.
    Thanks for the video!

    No one shows the door. Does it have a separate mesh section to let air in with the door?

    That door support rod goes under the main poles.... through that gap in the orange sleeves.

    I've got the same tent for my Tacoma. I bought some Napier Sportz Strap Protectors to cover the straps of the tent and protect the paint, especially after kicking up dust while off roading. They seem to work well so far

    How does it hold up in the wind? How does it hold up in winter? Do you think it’s suitable in the snow? Thanks

    • @TacoManD4X4
      @TacoManD4X4  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had a crazy windy night and idk how, he it held up haha it seemed like the tent was going to fly off, but everything was perfectly fine! Only issue you would have with snow is it could accumulate on the top, but other than that, it would be fine I think

      It was just like any other basic tent when it came to the cold. Pack blankets/sleeping bags. I used it for a few months and didn’t have any issues. I have a CVT Mt. Rainier RTT now

    Napier has full bottom truck bed coverage. Are you ok with your Rightline not having a bottom? I’m in a wetter climate than you.

      It’s fine with me, but I’ll look into that company! Thanks!

    • @chris4853
      @chris4853 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem with the Napier tent is that you have to completely empty the box of the truck to set up the tent which sucks. Also if you have a tonneau cover you will have to take it off with the Napier tent. Certain tonneau covers are fine and don’t need to be removed with the Rightline.

    • @coloradojt
      @coloradojt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chris4853 agree with you on taking all your stuff out of the bed. It’s a pain. Tonneau cover does not need to be removed though unless you have a bifold or trifold hard one. I have a soft roll up one and no problems.

    Sick video, i started with a Napier Sports tent on my 3rd gen, used it once or twice, then got a rooftop tent, but seemed like more of a hassle, i like to hit the trails. so we opted for a 10 person tent, and we also carry around the napier in case theres no space for the big tent, but so far so good, we dont have to pack up camp so i can go wheeling, i can leave and come bak and leave everything set up already
