    This video was in the works over a month ago before I started posting long form videos on TH-cam. I have one more after this that is in portrait but it’s not a car. I had a hopper of edited videos for the other platforms. Now I will be posting current projects that will be in landscape

    As a car guy I can't believe how oddly satisfying this is to see virgin steel come through under all the years of paint, bondo and rust. Keep 'em coming from a sub in Michigan where we know all about rust on old cars...

    I find these videos to be oddly relaxing, I can also recomment specialty sawmills sawing exotic logs into boards.
    Watching the grain appear and change slice after slice is also very calming.

    This is absolutely the only way to
    Properly restore a vehicle. An absolutely clean canvas to repair or replace any damage. Totally eliminating rust and making the vehicle completely new again. Truly a work of art to do a proper car build.

    I enjoy these videos, it's surprising what lies beneath the paint on some cars and seeing older repairs and metalwork. Can you do a video explaining how much shop clean up there is after you have pressure washed a body, and how often you need to change the dip tanks.

    The only thing I liked less than the other videos iis when you blast off the old paint. It was done kinda quick I enjoy watching all the old paint flying off. It makes me appreciate the final project all the more. I'll same the same for the rust removal.

    Messy but satisfying! This cab appears to be in pretty good shape.
    Hopefully some of your customers will send you pictures and videos of them once the bodywork and paint is done (or the whole job), but it may take a couple of years for them to reach that point.

    I find your videos to be very interesting, but I will be happy to see future ones in a horizontal format so that we can see greater detail. I have a '65 Buick Skylark project and a '71 VW Bus I'd like to have you clean up if I ever get the chance to restore them. Thanks for putting these videos out for us to watch.

    These videos are incredible! I enjoy watching the beginning of the transformation of these classics. I really hope and pray when this beautiful old girl gets rebuilt, that the owner does not destroy this beautiful truck by chopping channeling etc, ruining the look. Making it a hot rod is one thing, but please be respectful if the classic looks... or restore it to show room new.

    I don't think you owe everyone a response to their comments. Life is short and you are busy. I have noted the same questions coming up pretty frequently on these videos so maybe a pinned comment or some quick explainer text over videos (easy? hard?) to get those out of the way might lighten the load a little. Always fun to see what is revealed in these videos. Thanks!

    What happens to the 'dip' once it is finished with? Where does it go? Isthe jetwash water or something else and what happens to the runoff?

    • @minute_of_dangle
      @minute_of_dangle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have a pit under the washbay that’s separate from our sewer drainage. The runoff is collected there. We then pump it out and filter it into evaporation tanks that have heat exchangers to evaporate all the water out of it. What’s left is a neutral sludge. We then pay a company who specializes in chemical waste disposal to dispose of it properly for us.
