  • I’m Using a chemical dipping process to get this 1967 Jaguar E-Type down to bare metal. The whole process takes approximately 6weeks to complete a car. The reason it takes so long is because we use environmentally friendly food grade chemicals.
The company I work for is 3s chemicals llc in nanty glo Pennsylvania. These are my personal videos of the work I do day to day. I do not own this company so I do not do quotes or scheduling.
If you are interested in dipping services call- (814) 749-9015 tell them Trevor sent you.
If you’d like to collab/sponsor email me at trevormalloy2121@gmail.com

Apologies if you've already been asked this. Do the fluids in the tanks have to be replaced every so often or can the fluids be strained/filtered, only requiring a top up?

I have worked on several E-Types, and for the age, this one is in really good shape. Usually the floors and below the battery are history. She will be sweet when done. I am curious why the transmission tunnel was hacked up like it is. There is a good story behind that one for sure.

Could have been a V8 swap as it looks like a 68 I worked on- it hit a tree in 71 and sat in the desert, the body was perfect up to the nose

If you think this one is in "really good shape", I'd hate to see what you think is bad shape. Admittedly not much rust, but having more than just a touch of body filler here and there isn't indicative of what I'd call a good bodyshell.

When I see any of these late-50s/early-60s round-body cars, like a Porsche or similar, I EXPECT to see tons of bondo. All the restorations seem to be really banged up. And this thing is in 'good shape' only by comparison. Whoever does the body work from this point on is going to spend a LOT of time on the dolly and hammer. Or use tons of bondo again. Several of those patches are kind of wrinkled vis-a-vis the neighboring metal.@@anonymousplanetfambly4598

From the damage, it looks like it got t-boned on the right side at some point in its life. Would explain the brazing when the seams popped open and the crinkled parts being largely mid quarter up to the A pillar.

These E-Type Jags were absolute rust buckets. No surprise there is not much left of the original car. Salted roads absolutely killed these cars, the metal used was garbage.
If you want a good chassis get one from California and work with that.
If you want one of these to sit in your showroom, all good. But they are death traps to drive. Get hit by a modern vehicle at anything above 25mph and you are toast.
