Maryam Noor but the young women have no choice in the matter.They are forced by their parents to go through FGM.Its not a choice they can back out from.If that was the case.There would be no need to speak out against FGM.Some young women have actually ran away from their parents seeking protection from outside sources,from being forced into FGM and eventually being married off to a man half her age in majority..

I’ve heard of Fistula clinics in Africa. It’s very sad what happens to some African women due to rituals/tradition. I hope the knowledge of this problem spreads throughout the tribes that practice this and make a positive impact. Keep speaking about this.

I am a Dr, those are two different issues. Now if she was bleeding then i would agree it's related but she wasn't. Now she was a child when it happened so she didn't start connecting the dots until she was older. My statement is one of facts not emotion. FGM is bad so is male circumcision without the boys consent. I have less feeling due to it and this is another fact.

Men who blame their wives or victimize ladies who are circumcised Should be ashamed of themselves I mean these ladies didn't circumsise themselves... Infact this thing is done bofore these kids even realise what's going on.. Try to understand them and be accomodative not adding salt to into injury.
