This is the song for your first time playing CK. You load into Ireland, learn the mechanics, and build your first kingdom. Then defend it against the Viking raids.
I’ve nearly finished playing Pathfinder Kingmaker. These lyrics fit that game really well too. To edit, having finished the game everything said above is all the more true. Also, so far Wrath of the Righteous has been just as good!

I like the energy. It fits theme of the song. You really get a feeling of "we will make it happen, no matter how difficult it is". Would kinda fit some classic fantasy story of somebody fighting back to retake kingdom that was conquered or subverted.
Scottish fan here. This song was a total surprise but a welcome one! Completely nails the celtic folk-vibe and I could totally imagine hearing this being sung in a pub or at a football match! Instant favourite!
I wonder what a collaboration with Miracleofsound on this piece would sound like, given the Celtic style? Odds are, it would probably be pretty good. Anyways, good work Avi, you never disappoint.
They've already collabed on songs (IE: A Thousand Eyes and Let There Be Fire) and MoS did make Valhalla Calling, so the possibility they work together on a epic Celtic style song is pretty high
Celtic punk is something I never thought I'd read or hear, Tyler you mix things that reasonably shouldn't be mixed and somehow make it work and it's amazing
Amazing song. No references to incestuous marriages. Poor representation of the games, 2/10. ...seriously, though, it's a bloody good song, mate, you delivered as always. This entirely album is a treasure.
The really fun part is when it does the former by accident, or retroactively. There's hope for it yet. :D As an aside, have you ever heard Miracle of Sound's _Mother of Flame?_
Why would you marry your children to their cousins? You marry them to distant princesses to get claims on their realms which will be enforced and then peacefully absorbed via seniority succession.
Because genius, strong and other inheritable traits. Also if you play from year 800 you end basically being in some way related to every viable candidate.
I've got the mental image now of soldiers preparing for battle and singing this song, but the shots keep cutting between the two enemy camps and showing that they're singing the same songs and repeating the same rhetoric.
I can't really call it a comeback song since you never left and your quality has remained good... but it's what I'd call it on any other occasion. I feel that this stands with your best work.
The lyrics of this song match amazingly well with biblical prophecy. It gives me shudders to hear this music while thinking about what is to come and how well ALL of the lyrics tie into major biblical themes. You have created a true work of art with this one. Great work Aviators!
Truly a blessing for our ears Avi, you are just like a ray of hope, always there to surprise us once more. Please never stop bestowing upon us such majesty, you, indeed, are hope itself
Something I've learn today, aviators can not make a bad song I swear. Also on that note, their music has been huge inspiration for my writing and it'll always make me happy to see them release a new song ^^
Hey aviators love the song and love the new intro hinting to the new album modern mythology its already breathtaking can't wait to hear it in October or November avi you always have ways to find new directions for your concepts
This fits my current mood when it comes to music really well, the last few days I have been on a celtic/medieval kick when it comes ot songs, don't know why
As someone whose been playing crusader kings since the second one launched, i just want to say i hope you're enjoying my favorite game series of all time :)

Funny how Sabaton releases a Kingdom Come song and then Aviators releases a song for Crusaders Kings

Coming from an Irish fan I can say that Avi is now honorary Irish/Celtic!
Loved Dreams of The Deep so much. Was an instant favourite!
Thanks! The majority of my heritage is Celtic so it's always fun to work that inspiration into my music!

TIL that Celtic Punk is a genre.
Check out The Mahones and The Kiligans. They are great Celtic Punk bands.
I've only heard one other example of Cletic Punk; Gráinne Mhaol,Queen Of Pirates by Miracle Of Sound. Both this song and that song are great.

Lol, my first playthrough of CK was as Byzantium, IIRC.
I’ve nearly finished playing Pathfinder Kingmaker. These lyrics fit that game really well too.

Exactly my thoughts!
I'm playing in a tabletop Kingmaker campaign and I sent this song to our party's Ruler!
The dwarven loyalists trying to deliver their half-dead princess through the chasmways, while rebels possessed by some sort of demons attack them from every direction in Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas:
Ah, yes now this does put a smile on my face.
It has come at last from the ages past.
Imagine, all your soldiers that fought in Crusader Kings series.
Imagine, each of them. Their Lives. This hits differently.
Especially when two thirds of your army is lost to attrition before you even catch the enemy.
I'm sure Eadwulf, son of Eadwulf found some joy in fighting for a Welsh Warrior-Queen.
Feels like a 'patriotic' song that criticizes & damns the very realm the soldiers are forced to serve.
Yeah I definitely cared about the 10th Giuseppe ibn Jogaila of House Komnenos that served my army faithfully until he died of typhoid fever while sieging down Gwynedd

I feel it's too supportive of monarchy to be punk at all.

One might say it was "a surprise to be sure but a welcome one."
Question does this fit William Wallace
Whenever Aviators drops a new song, I always know I’m in for a good time. So much passion and talent goes into each release!
