This should be titled: How NOT To Make Candles. Lol!
1. This is a fire hazard with the dried leaves/petals. It will also ruin the scent and look of your candles when it burns.
2. Essential oils for candles are ok, but evaporate quickly and the hot throw isn’t as good. Save your precious expensive essential oils for the defuser. For candles, you want to use fragrance oil, which can be purchased from Candle Science or another reputable candle supplies store.

Thank you!! So I wanna get into candle making for myself and I read on the candle making subreddit to exactly never do the two things she did. The candle looks nice, but the fire hazard.
So thank you for pointing this out. I see so many shorts rn where people put everything in and it ain’t save.

The wick will get displaced while drying, you have to stick the bottom of the wick if u wanna actually use the candle

So even upon melting a white candle, the wax will be transparent? And how much essential oil should i add? How many drops for what size candle?

I added crushed petals in my candle but as the wax melted the petals were burned too ruining the smell and the candle colour

Do not use perfume.. they are flammable.

Yes you can add, but make sure it doesn't have any harmful chemicals

You could use any hair oil with fragrance

Petals will burn along the wax. So make sure you add petals with fragrance.

I used an oil which came along the candle making kit. You can use any essential oil

I personally haven't made scented candles but I don't think you can since the wax can catch on fire since there's alcohol in perfume but idrk
It doesn't even mix because a perfume has water base nd wax needs oil based fragrance
You should not use perfumes rather use natural fragrance like ittar
