In today's world it doesn't matter how much money you raised, the thing which matters is the company's impact, profitability, returns to investors, visionary founder...
And the ability to think long term bcz the market reward richly who think about long term and raising this much in this much doesnt make you a successful startup.

@@starX7995 Completely agree with your point brother but Today's startups are perfect examples of how they have raised tens and hundreds of millions of dollars in a hour or so time !
Even the industry titans in the VC sector have said this about today's AI startups like how much money they have raised no matter how shitty their business ideas are !
And in the video its an Indian startup and as an Indian I know how Indian startups like to burn investors money and how they are struggling to become profitable ! Only a few are there in India who have made some of the biggest startups and they were hugely profitable !
And in future if I had to raise for (as u said) a startup, I would never raise a single penny !
I would rather be bootstrap and raise from crowdfunding !

When I arrived to the US in 2006, I got something like a 'secured credit card' from a Bank to build my credit history. Secured credit card works on your deposit (just like a debit card). So, never had a problem building credit history. But, there is always more than one way to solve a problem. I think Zolve did it elegantly.

    • @munagalavrr

In 2000 got CC from DCU and by 2001 had about 5 or 6 cards without any history and got unsecured loans, some with 0% interest for first 12 months. US Govt made laws around 2004 making hard access to credit market. Things changed after that.

  • @abperson20

Things have changed now. There are alternate providers who use the indian credit card history to provide you a credit card in US. Zolve is not necessary very friendly in their customer relations. A lot of the questions go answered if you happen to contact. Like you have a bank account with a non descript credit union in US is mandatory. You don't get a credit card without that. While no belittling the novel concept which Zolve promotes, some alternates have emerged now.

I don't agree, a low-risk business in one country doesn't actually translate to a low-risk business in another country. Once you start to consider the geo-political frontiers the risk automatically becomes vague. Consider this, you invest some of your capital in a biz subsidiary in a country your choice, tomorrow the govt of native country comes up with an initiative to increase import duty on a critical component that your subsidiary relies on. Now had this happened in your own country, you could have lobbied for easier policy by you as a foreign investor have much less say in the workings of sovereign nation. The entire investment becomes waste. This is not some hypothetical scenario, it is very much real and something along the lines has happened with Cairn India(as a result they exited India but not without a huge loss).

One thing that you missed in the video is Credit card fraud. Solve is very poor when it comes to tackle credit card frauds. Once my Solve credit card was stolen, I reported to the team and they gave me very poor answer that was to block my credit card and wait for further assistance. After 3 whole months, my issue got resolved and I was able to use it again. The worst part was, I was reporting a transaction worth just $129.75 and it took whole 3 months to get resolved. So eventually I have had stopped using Zolve at all because of poor assistance from the team whereas American Banks resolves within 3 days. So you had to ask how they tackle these kind of issues. Thanks. 🙏

No. It is not the same. I am one of the early users of zolve CC. You have visa card in India based on your credit history in India, when you use that card outside India u have to pay absorbent charges to the Indian bank which has provided you the credit card. So what zolve does is provided u an US CC based on India Credit History. That's super useful initally.
