I just bought this radio, I love the fact that it has so many options. And it's super easy to open the 11 meter band. I'm hoping to have it in my big rig by the end of the week. I really enjoyed how you explained everything.
These are great SSB radios, prefect size for all vehicles, if you buy from a CB shop, don’t let them charge you to convert, this function is done in the menu! Only thing I found on mine was it was wide open wattage wise on AM, turned it down to 10 watts with the power knob all the way up and it DK 10, swings to 50+
I'd leave the quad 6 as is. Woudn't let anyone touch it. It works fine stock, even the stock mic does what it is made for. As for 10 meter, almost no one uses 10 meter for it is silent most of the time. I have it set to cb. Great video. Keep em coming.
The D104 didn't work well on my CRT 6900N (AT5555), so I went with the KPO Dynamic & KPO Power Mic. The Dyno works great on Ssb, and the Power for Am/Fm. Great radios those Q6's (CRT 9900 in Europe), will be my Summertime upgrade. Well done Winners. 407 The Mad Hatter. Mcr 🇬🇧
@@Gator400 this a new cheap Chinese import so not an original by any means. Although I have a choice of microphones including a desk mic, I tend to use the original still, I have just drilled a larger hole into it, it was 2mm, it's 7.5mm now and picks up really good, I did the same with the M9 Microphone on the 9900. 407 Mcr 👋
DTMF Is a repeater tone. The 10khz is the lasttwo numbers on your frequency for tuning, it probably can be set to 5 or 2.5 along with 10. Thanks for the review. I’m a driver that also has a ham license and was looking for a radio that would both 11 meters and the full 10 meter band.
My question is, what's the power on the "cb" mode? All the output facts show 2watts to 65 watts. How are "normal" cb users going to know the FCC regulates them to 4?
Good video on explaining the Anytone 6666 features. I have the Anytone 5555n2 that I use as my base station. My question is have you or anyone else had any problems with the AT 6666 getting to hot, say in around the heat sink area? I was looking at getting the AT 6666 as my mobile radio.
Update on the Anytone? Or next video? As for the Anytone it's doing 50 watts right out the box. Not sure if I what to modify or eventually leave it stock and drive an amp with it. Next video will be tomorrow (Sunday) on a Stryker 955 power cord upgrade.
BOT - beginning of transmission" beep or tone . EOT - end of transmission - Rodger beep . Turns on/off probly pushing selector in . Nice radio can a power mic go on it?
Great. Runs a little hot though but i added a small fan on the heatsinc, does the trick. 60 watts not really, 40 to 45 watts is the max im getting out of it. Sufice for me tho.
Eot and Bot are for dtmf tones for a repeater function ,such as a phone patch, tot is a time out timer so you don't talk too long thru a repeater, This radio was made for hams not cbers.
A lot depends on your antenna system and the terrain you're in. Here in the southeast, I've reached around 20 miles to a base station 5-10 is easy here.
Hello friend, greetings from Panama, I have spent the whole day looking for information for my cb radio, since when transmitting and at all times the ant light turns on I have a cobra 29 ltd with a wilson 2000 antenna, they tell me that they listen to me with interference I await your answer I need your help greetings.
I’m actually in the minority that still uses a PA. I looked at this radio. I see that it has a PA function, but I don’t see anywhere to actually connect the PA. The port in the back external speaker I believe is for the same external speaker. We always use to listen, but I don’t see one for PA talk
That is DTMF DUAL TONE MULTI FREQUENCY it's for talking on 10 meter repeaters, then the other refers to PL Tones. Ya know Ham stuff🤔🤣✌️ I've got an AT-5555n and the older AT-5555 and I love them both. Quality Chinese electronics.
Hi, great video but just a little warning. If you change the frequency and transmit it will remember that frequency for the channel your on so you can mess up your channels if you don't put it back.
It a ok starter radio for this kind of radio really basic you can program a bit more whith cord but still no where as much as a real ham radio I upgraded a few parts in side Reflowed most the of it joints As most of China made radio's Lots of cold joints
Thank you for your AnyTone AT6666 video instruction. Getting older drains the brain, but you’ve been a great help. God bless you….
Glad to help, thanks for watching

Check 10 meters again, It starting to get busy especially during the day.
fantastic little radio that will surprise you !!
Great video and explanation of features and functions! I'll have to try 11m CB one of these days. Thanks for sharing this! 73', KB7TJM 🙋♂️📡

Nice radio can a power mic go on it?
I don't think a power mic is needed. Everyone says it's loud and clear. No tuning done just straight out of the box.
Tnx for the explanation!🙋♂️

Does the bearcat wireless mic work on this
Do you ever do any videos on cb radios being used in the woods for hunting?
No I don't know anyone that use them for hunting.
Great video . Quick question, how many watts on cb i can get stock?
I think it was around 60 watts
Congrats to the two winners!! 👏
Thanks
I've enjoyed my quad6 for a couple years. Its a good powerhouse of a radio for the money. Use Kpo power Mic or stock.
Is there any way to show frequency and channel simultaneously.?
Not that I'm aware of.
@@jrichtruckincbtips too bad
How again do you set from CB to HF? Also which band is HF H. And CB is D . What are the rest of the letters for
Why is echo needed?

True, but it's still great for a mobile.
What is that sexy sound? Cummins? Never mind. Think I heard air release.. that's a Big Truck.. :)
what is the normal range of the anytone is it a good fit for a truck driver / dump truck driver that wants to be able to shoot 1-20 miles ?
A lot depends on your antenna system and the terrain you're in. Here in the southeast, I've reached around 20 miles to a base station 5-10 is easy here.
Upon mod you have all bands the radio has not just Cb.
Sorry, how I can do factory reset this radio?
In the menu. Dial till you see reset and press the big button
How about the traditional beep

First check the SWR with an external meter, if that's good check the coax with a multi-meter, also check the coax connector on the back of the radio.
Whooo!!👍
Sweet, I want one...
I think they are the beat bang for the buck.
The AT 6666 is a fantastic radio for a car with a Stryker 10 antenna. 🤠😎🚗🚘🚙🛻🛵🛴

I believe it uses the speaker port.
DTMF is for repeaters (ham world)
Does this radio have a weather band ? I hear some say it does and others say it does not. Which is it. Yes or No ?
No weather band.
I have a problem with my ANYTONE. SWR it to hi , I can’t talk 😢

Turn yous squelch a little up and aq will disappear. Aq=autosquelch.

Got it
👍🏻
If you want to change your echo, read the user's manual.
I did, and it just says on/off, and everything I see and hear say you have to go in the radio.
Crack the case and you will find the adjustment potentiometers near the front of the board to adjust echo volume and delay.
@@windrider23 Leave the echo volume as is, just adjust the delay.
