      Hello 👋
      You'll need tomato sauce and paste (do not be stingy with the tomato sauce/paste but at the same time don't overdo it)
      Pepper (red bell pepper will do. It should the blended alongside the tomatoes (that will give you ur tomato sauce))
      Onions (maybe 1, depends on the quantity of rice u plan on cooking)
      Seasoning/stock cube & salt (to taste)
      Rice (obviously 😅)
      Oil (any type- vegetable/olive/groundnut)
      Dried thyme leaves
      Curry powder (not really necessary)
      Butter (it's actually margarine(also optional))
      That's all
      Mind you, it's advisable to parboil or wash the rice with hot water (just as she did in the vid)
      Have a nice day 👋

      @@michelletanko3776 please why is it advisable to parboil the rice ? When I try cooking jollof rice , it comes out undercooked and hard . Does parboiling it make it softer ?

    • @michelletanko3776
      @michelletanko3776 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@tochukwuiroezindu2376 well, according to what I've been taught and the experiment I've carried out, yes, parboiling the rice makes it softer and reduces the amount of rice that ends up getting burnt.
      Although, the type of rice u're using might also be a factor as to why ur rice comes out hard after cooking it
      Hope this helps 💕
