- Today I'm sharing a NEW Dollar Tree Bird Feeder DIY along with 7 of my favorite outdoor Bird Feeder and Bird Bath Diys. I used Dollar Tree supplies along with some thrift and recycled materials to make my them and they're all easy to make and perfect to attract birds to your home and add to your outside garden decor.

The projects are creative and pretty, the change I would make is using non-toxic, pet and wildlife friendly glues and sealants.

When I lived in Kentucky, I made the seed wreaths fir the birds. They Loved them, of course.❤
I love doing projects with my grandchildren. One of their favorite things is birds. Feeding the birds is something we grew up doing and my children were raised feeding birds. I have taught my grandchildren that there is much joy in feeding birds so these projects couldn't be better. It's amazing how you made such great pieces for little to no money.

Cute but held together by hot glue. What do you think is going to happen in the hot sun? If you make it, please use a permanent glue, not hot glue.

With pulltop cans, just use the canopener as if the van was unopened, and it removes the sharp ring. For the can showing through the sticks, you could paint the can but nobody’s gonna see it anyway. Great video. Thank you

Thank you for the view of the red wing blackbird! I haven’t seen one in years since they came in the morning to my fathers corn field. DDT killed them off. I love their sound in the mornings. Am 82 and will make one of your feeders for my Bluejay and Cardinals. Thank you again.

It's so sad they were killed off by the chemicals ~ I love the Cardinals too and we just had Bluejays returning a few years ago, sadly, they had met the same fate as your red wing blackbirds. Feeders were amazing, Feeders not allowed in my tiny condo yard. The Bird bath idea GREAT thanks. I have water dishes all over my porch, needed your upgrade hanging birdbath idea. A Friend & I rescue birds that hit the glass skyscrapers in Newark NJ, Most that hit the skyscrapers perish on impact, or when fall to cement. TRT made a video 'Window Strikes in the Business District' of us picking up injured Warblers. TRT nurses them back to health.

@@LoriBlyeDIY Thank you, I just pick up the injured very gently & quick, most of the time cannot even ID them as try to do it in seconds as do not want to cause any additional stress to the injured. TRT (The Raptor Trust) nurses them, we just get them to TRT as fast as we can, it is about an hour west of Newark. Here is a TRT video they have a Warbler I brought in, it was concussed when I found it on the pavement and could not move, if I did not pick up a Gull would have eaten him th-cam.com/video/mlFGAtA34O0/w-d-xo.html

Here, we have rain and it tends to mold the seeds. Drainage would have to be included. I LOVE the pine cone wreaths!!!

OMG Lori, the branch stick bird feeders/bird houses are fantastic. I would add spray painting the cans before adding sticks so the silver can never shows through. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Glass is too slipper for the birds, use Aquarium gravel instead of glass.

the tea cups keep the squirrels out, too small for them…. otherwise, everything else they figure out.
the squirrels ignore my dog, and for the most, she ignores them.
AWWW..poor hungry little squirrels need food too! 😢❤️🐿️ I mean they ARE annoying but they are SOOO FUNNY showing off their gymnastics skills to get to the bird seed! 😂🥳🥰
My best friend would tease me to death about my love of bird feeders! I really never did care though. I admit it, I love the birds around my house especially the cardinals! Gonna make these you can bet! Beautiful job!
Hi Lisa! I love watching the birds I find it so relaxing ~ I do bring the feeders/baths in during inclement weather to prolong their life but if you use better quality products you can leave them outside. Maybe make one for your friend LOL! Happy Crafting!
Great ideas so pretty. They just cleared a area next to where I live it was a natural wildlife area for birds with rabbits. So now I can add this to area great🤗

These were great projects. I’m a mosaic artist and YES E-6000 is perfect for gluing glass or ceramic for outdoors. If you have ever seen glass totems, that’s what keeps them together. Please use in well ventilated area, it’s very toxic if inhaled.

Does not matter where i am, every type of bird is always close, once even a hummingbird stayed right in front of my face for over a minute. Great video

Thanks so much for stopping by ❤️ I hope you enjoy making these fun, novelty bird feeders and bird baths. 🐦 As with any homemade diys using supplies that can be affected by the outdoors, I remove mine from strong winds, rain, snow or any inclement weather. I do this to protect my feeders and baths from the elements and I clean them frequently to keep my feathered friends happy. I love these, but live in So. Central MO. With the heat and sun in summer, I can't even get E6000 glue to hold. And I can't manage to keep the raccoons from getting in my feeders and tearing them up or trying to carry them off. I'd have to bring them in every night. These are awesome bird lover projects though. Thanks for sharing!

This is a fabulous video with so many creative ideas!!! I just moved to a place with so many’s birds. I just placed two bird feeders out with a bird bath and recently painted another one for them. I just love having my cup of coffee in the morning while watching the birds. This has given me so many ideas for more bird houses and with 20 aches of land I can definitely put more. Awesome video. Please be aware that when you create a bird house, leave the perch off. This perch creates an unwelcoming of predators that steal eggs. Perches are cute but really pose more accessibility to bird feeders. ❤

I would also use some sandpaper on the edge of the plate so the birds can also grip the edge or glued a couple of the wood in the plate

Lori, loved the seed hearts. In the colder climates I've used melted suet from the grocery store or a butcher, to make the seed stock together and add some other nutrition to the birdy diet. Well done! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
