very cool project, I want to mention David, it's cool and I learned a lot making my Audi S2. Thanks to you, I switched to the 07K engine. thank you for sharing your experience)
when watching this episode, ive realized you are just writing your name into the history with this project... its so damn awesome! im your biggest fan, hope there will be any chance to get close to this monster :-P
Ah, so the noise was turbocharger surge! And now we have blow off valves to prevent the flow reversal of the air. Great searches by the way, can’t wait to see how the finished car is!
We test our pneumatic and electronic wastegates at 1,260°C/2,300°F for 1,000,000 actuations. Not one million cycles from 0° to 2,300°F, we start the one million actuations once temp reaches 1,260°C/2,300°F. With water cooling the test runs for over 24 hours or until we run our testbench out of gas.
Such a build and then uses silicone for couplings and no straight gate, either pneumatic or electronic! What a waste! Even my build uses all HD clamps and a Straight E-gate!
It’s really coming together now… 😁😎🎉
Now it gets even more interesting! 😁
Honourable mentions always go down a feckin treat. Cheers boys! I've always thought the turbo wotsit looks like a hairdryer. You're very welcome. 😊
Audi classic Germany will be jealous
Real
Audi International will be jealous.
Awesome!
Awesome build looking forward to seeing grumpy come to life.

I cant wait until it is on its wheels rolling 😊
On my watch list for later today! Looking forward to it!
Hope you enjoy it!
This car is going to be the nuts 👍
Brilliant! Fantastic series thus far, excited to see the car up and running. 😁
You and me both!
Mega video & such a fantastic build. Truly can't wait to see this running and all fired up! 😎

Congratulations on the 10k subscriptions. Hopefully there will be many more.
Thank you very much!

Great to see a Turbosmart feature. 👌
Two questions: why you didn’t go with an electronic wastegate?
Wouldn’t the bov prevent the anti surge noises Audi rally cars are known for?
BEAUTIFUL BUILD! Does the water cooling of the waste gate work by convection or using a pump?
Your work is more clean than a surgen’s!
We are not going to use the water through the gate. It normally just gets the cooling system water to pass through it to keep it cool.
Maybe could of got grant parker of. GP turbos to of supplied the turbo parts that he makes ,that he uses on his famous golf quattro
Are you gone do an livery on it?
No I don't think so? The original car was just a test car so it was all white.
Nice
👌👍😎
1000 degrees out the waste gate😮 hope thats in Fahrenheit 😂 as aluminium melts at 660c.
The exhaust gasses can go over 1000degrees celsius. In some motorsport application it can max out about 1200degreed celsius.

Oh... you do have female viewers! 😁✌🏻
Wicked glad your on board 🤟
@@EPSDaveRowe And I can't wait to watch the upcoming "on board" vids... and dyno runs... and everything!!!
Looking so forward!!! 😊
Ah, another one. I'm learning a little as we go, you seem to have more of a grip going by your comment. Glad to see a sis here.
@@amaliagrassi6870 Thank you- just an older fanatic audi lass with a bit history in motorsports... 😶
Need more wrenching! :)
More to come!

Quiet nerd 🤣
Got a link to your build as I would love to see how it should be done?
