Can you hook the bottom reference line up to manifold vacuum? Ive heard you could, and that it was more consistent then compressor housing. Just looking for insight
I’ve personally tried this in the past with an onboard air compressor and small tank. The problem is the air compressor, creates moisture, and if this moisture gets into the top of the waste gate, it’s very hard for it to get out. CO2, nitrogen, nitrous, any dry gas will work best.
If adding co2 on the dome of the wastegate doesn’t give you 1:1 pressure why not mount the pressure sensor on the manifold and than you’d have closed loop boost controller where the ecu would just add enough co2 to get to whatever you’re trying to make instead of chasing your tail trying to find out what makes what.
Instead of filling it with c02 you can fill it with nitrous. My co2 tank needed to be filled again and my buddy was like, "I'll just put some nitrous in it" haha. Doesn't do anything extra/better for performance, it's just what he had and it works.
I have a small compressor and regulator. 130psi in the tank and regulated to 70PSI. I like it better. Then after a run, pumps itself up again.
I got the same but a fitting on my tank to air my tires up if needed
@@ChrisH-yg2ul Yeh thats a good idea. Might do the same thing
Can you fill your tank back at the trailer to save the weight of the compressor and wiring in the car?
@@MorganMayes Yeah for sure. c02 will last a heck of a lot longer since it's at like 500-1000psi but even 130 psi of regular air will last a bit.
I run old chevy starter solenoid springs, they work great
Thanks for the Inf, Was really helpful.
Great Video !!! Keep them coming !!!
Great video, very useful.
Thats awsome video a learn a lot with this video I want that for a Da integra lsv turbo
Great video guys.
Great video Brett!!
Fantastic explanation of why you should upgrade to electronic wastegates.
I was going to say that a CO2 setup no longer makes sense over an electronic Turbosmart WG.
Yeah let’s just spend 3x the price for something that can easily be achieved with a c02 bottle
@ALYXTANKBACKPACK awe thats cute. You cant do what an e-gate can do with co2.
This is hilarious I was just looking for a video and found a video from Doug 2 years ago doing this topic 😂...
Great vid!
Here's a question though, would you choose c02 over the electronic gates?
Enjoy the info. What about using E-Gate?
Do two waste gates needs two dome pressure sensors? Or can you run one dome pressure sensor?
Just one sensor
@@MotionRaceworksOfficial thanks

yes
What about the compressed air kits I see some cars running? Is C02 more reliable than the compressed air kits or simpler?

@@audikid89 makes a lot of sense.
Water. You don't get moisture build up from c02, compressors build up alot of moisture- even EXTREMELY Bad/quickly depending on ambient conditions.
and to add a comment more amperage draw on the alternator
@@mr.c5217 good point!
The Teflon not fittings...can they be reused? If so is loctite or Teflon tape needed?
It can be reused. If the sealing ring happens to get damaged from multiple reuse, you can use Teflon tape or blue Loctite.

What is everything that you can control with Co2?
Can we *please make a billet regulator? I noticed "glow in the dark" gauge faces on the regulator of someones car last week.
What happened to the Nova???
He said you can use nitrous on the top of the gate? Can you elaborate on that?
Instead of filling it with c02 you can fill it with nitrous. My co2 tank needed to be filled again and my buddy was like, "I'll just put some nitrous in it" haha. Doesn't do anything extra/better for performance, it's just what he had and it works.
Ever think about making a bottle mount for guys not running a cage?
why co2 and not hpa also why not use a carbon fiber bottle
I 🤔 La Salla's worked for Real Street? Is this guy rich. Relatively tweeting.
Hey guys would you be interested in helping me with a small sponsorship to help me buy a 66 nova so I can start racing
Lol ya me too
