You should do a video focused on Maegor the Cruel and the Faith Militant Uprising and the various battles that unfolded during that war. A lot of battles and interesting events happened during that conflict. That would make a nice addition to the channel.
I used to wonder how Robert, Jon and Ned were able to keep the peace for so long. Mind you, I got into the show at first, then I read the books. But once one of them died, Jon, the delicate balance was thrown into anarchy. But Robert Baratheon, his family ruled the Storm lands. Jon Arryn, his family ruled the Riverlands. And Eddard Stark, the Starks ruled the North. That would only leave the Lannisters that would want the crown, but they ruled the Westerlands. Had they tried to forcefully take the Iron Throne, they would have gotten CRUSHED by Robert, Jon and Ned. They were literally surrounded, geographically, their alliance to dethrone the Mad King was almost fool proof. Littlefinger poisoning Jon Arryn was the first move to depower this trio. That would leave the Riverlands out of their alliance afterwards, as The Vale only backed Robert and Ned because Jon was the Warden of the East. Next, Cersei had Robert stealthily killed. Which left only Ned and The North to question the Lannisters claim to the Iron Throne. If Cersei played her game less ruthlessly and devised more thoughtful plans, the Lannisters could have ruled the Seven Kingdoms for awhile.
Like Lord of the Rings and only a couple other fictional mythologies, I could rehear these stories a million times and still have just as much fun. Ironic considering I have no interest in actually watching or reading the core media of the franchise.

Agreed it’s a hard one to cover but explains a lot of the time time period
Hey Civ, thanks for making all these videos in such a clear and straightforward way. Really appreciate your work!
