And also if you're walking you can see what appears to be water running uphill in the ditch and you actually feel like something is pushing you cuz you're going downhill
I was there. You park at the post and you see the hill behind you! Your eyes are saying you would be going up but your vehicle and your body are going downward. It messes up your system.
You did a good job clarifying that optical illusion with your video. Glad you posted it because all the written explanations and still pictures could not convey the experience as well as your video did.
It's a pretty well known tourist spot. Wouldn't it be dangerous when it gets busy ? Many cars trying to go here and there, up and down, on the wrong side of the road ?
Actually, I was there during the off season - it's still open then. However, when I got to the post, I did a U turn and let the "magnetism" pull me up forward instead of backward. Still a kool experience....LOL, my wife kept saying I was actually driving during the whole thing.

So you're going downhill in neutral. And the "scoop" is that it only looks like you're going uphill via visual illusion, and thats cool to think about. Pretty dumb dude lol
