I have to be honest I have barely listened to Tyler's actual music, but from purely youtube videos he absolutely rips and seems like one of the most humble, good dudes
I saw tyler & the shakedown open for myles kennedy for the ides of march tour, when the drummer wasn’t there he played the whole set, singing, playing guitar, and keeping tempo with a bass drum. he’s one of the most incredibly talented musicians right now
The biggest take away for me on this channel when doing interviews is they sit and talk like normal buds hanging out all the while you don't just get blazing questions as the guest just holds the guitar they actually play. Breath of fresh air.
I use to hang out with Tyler at CnC guitars in Paris Tx like 20 years ago. I don't follow current music much and the guys in my band just told me the other day he's a huge deal now. They didn't believe me when I said I use to play with him lol
@ That was the first video I saw them in as well. Went from that to spoonful with Joe Bonnamossa. I was like holllly $&@“!!! The range those two have is absolutely amazing.
Tyler and his band are awesome and him being married to Rebecca Lovell is like a match made in musical heaven. I would just like to hang out in their house to listen to them play and bounce ideas off each other!
Seen them at least three times. Always opening for whatever band I’m there to see. At this point I consider them just another reason to go. Great band. Energy, talent and songwriting are all top notch.
I have been a fan of TB Shakedown for a few years now and have met him at Basement East last year. Super nice guy, and a hell of a guitar player! I was wondering how long it would take to get him on the channel.
This guy is good! - I love it when a good guitar player mentions my hero Johnny Winter too, which he did, plus’s Jeff Beck two players that I grew up listening to and still love their records, I should probably check out Albert King who is someone who name I keep hearing by players who have the style that I like. This was a fun post- thanks! ☮️
TB really seems like a cool ass and down to earth dude. Wished he would have spoken more about the level of music theory that he utilizes for what he does. I always find myself flipping between feeling really inspired to play/write and other times feeling like I suck and won't truly get better until I understand more theory than I currently do. Always curious how other players that I admire view the instrument and music as a whole and how much they engage or don't engage with deeper theory. Great video Tyler^2
Thoroughly enjoyed this, Tyler/Tyler. Also dug Tyler B. playing an Acoustasonic on Fender commercial. And enjoyed Tyler B. explaining how to play slide guitar to Rhett S. Thanks for all these. (I plan to check out Alan Haynes.)
I saw them open for AC/DC back in 2016 at the Verizon Center (now Capital One Arena) in DC - great energy and LOVED their Muddy Waters cover. When I eventually got home, I had to throw the name into the google machine before I passed out so I wouldn't forget to add them to the playlist.
Tyler and Gary Clark are my two go-to guys of the newer breed of blues players. Both very different, but no less impactful and inspiring. They're both also responsible for why i keep trying to make fuzz pedals work for me! haha
Man....a point was made here that I've long believed career players are looking for. To have a master volume that acts independently without taking away from the character of your channel settings is an awesome idea. I've gone through phases of what I'd call my ideal overall sound, and I've landed on wanting an amp that I can set to being dirty and throaty at any volume. I think the hardest thing to sonically achieve with any tube amp is the ability to get the characteristics of a tube amp that's warmed up....without having to jack the volume up in order to reach the tone we're looking for. Personally I've settled on plugging a Trutone clean boost into the front of an amp that wpuld normally be a high gain monster, turning the gain way down, and using coil taps to get a driven sound that offers tonal definition. So, his signature amp sounds like a great idea. And throughout this video, I've heard nothing but pleasing sounds.
My first Nice guitar was a '68 Gibson SG. Dad bought it about '72. Kid let it go for $150. Got stolen around '77. Also had a Blue metaflake tuck n roll, Kustom 100 amp. Have nicer stuff now, but would love to have it back.
I know I have mail today that you can't measure guitarists or musicians like a 100 m alet but this boy is the best guitarist in the world for me by God and a singer too I personally have been through so much crap in my life and when my head hits the pillow sometimes I think I don't want to watch this anymore but tylor with his music and voice and dark understanding of the world makes me say to myself I'll take one more day because I'll just see what that kid comes up with next song that's going to hit me and I'll hurt again one day and go to work and come home and say I love you love u and love Tyler B
Dang, that amp sounds great. It reminds me of my Princeton with a more treble; don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY PRINCETON, but... that thing is sweet. Also, that VIBRATO, yeah...
looking back at some of your old vids. you know the one about top ten guitars that didn't have a PRS in it. Made me think about the Tele. Is it a single cut or a double cut? To me it's a single cut am I wrong?
I love Tyler Bryant’s music. Check out ‘On To The Next’, from his 2019 album ‘Truth And Lies’. If you have no coffee or whiz, this’ll wake you right up. ✌ 👽 🎸
I need help. Many years ago I bought courses from tyler. I bought multiple. But it wasn't on a website he had made himself. It was one where anyone could sell lessons. Now tyler has removed that link from his videos and I can't find the website to access these whole courses. I had bought multiple. I remember my log in. But I can't find the website anymore. Does anyone know the website Tyler used to sell his lessons on previously. He used to put sales in his videos alot for this.
Lol My name is Taylor and moms maiden name is Brown... Let's just say out of all the alternatives, it could be worse. Like Richard Cream... btw I'm constantly called Tyler, lol our names aren't picked on our own. I guess I resent that lol.
I have to be honest I have barely listened to Tyler's actual music, but from purely youtube videos he absolutely rips and seems like one of the most humble, good dudes
His music is great. Get on that asap
You will thank you after seeing TBSD live.
Yeah for real. That Tyler Bryant guy ain't bad either.
Tyler has deserved this kind of recognition for years, he is the best!
Tyler is a phenomenal guitar player and producer. I think he will be a much in demand producer in the future.
I saw tyler & the shakedown open for myles kennedy for the ides of march tour, when the drummer wasn’t there he played the whole set, singing, playing guitar, and keeping tempo with a bass drum. he’s one of the most incredibly talented musicians right now
LETS GO!!! I love y’all BOTH!! And have been waiting for this video for forever!!
The biggest take away for me on this channel when doing interviews is they sit and talk like normal buds hanging out all the while you don't just get blazing questions as the guest just holds the guitar they actually play. Breath of fresh air.
Been following The Shakedown for a while. Love to see him absolutely crushing lately!
Tak!

Be ‘ware world, these younger generation is so well learned. You know already what took me so long. 🤘
And now you need to interview the BRILLIANT Larkin Poe! One of the most under the radar bands out today!😊
@ That was the first video I saw them in as well. Went from that to spoonful with Joe Bonnamossa. I was like holllly $&@“!!! The range those two have is absolutely amazing.
Jeff pulling your e string off is so epic. Jeff pulled Les Pauls jack out right there on stage. hilarious.
That was a great interview/hang! Very inspiring. 😊
Epic content... Can't wait to hear that T2 record. 🤘🏼💯🤘🏼
Tyler, your Jackson was an SLSMG
I also bought mine in high school in 04, and will never let it go
Tyler and his band are awesome and him being married to Rebecca Lovell is like a match made in musical heaven. I would just like to hang out in their house to listen to them play and bounce ideas off each other!
How can you not be a fan of T.B.? Great kid, and amazing musician.
Seen them at least three times. Always opening for whatever band I’m there to see. At this point I consider them just another reason to go. Great band. Energy, talent and songwriting are all top notch.
Great job pumping up people man!! Love the energy!
Met Tyler a few years ago in Glasgow when he opened for The Cadillac 3 , he’s an awesome wee guy 🤘🏼

I had a Les Paul Recording guitar when I was 21...GODZ I wish I still had it! I broke the headstock off it at the Agora in Cleveland.

Never heard his music before but I like it. That would be so cool to play with both of you. SWEET
kindred spirits..... yuh, it shows. Nice ep dude.
Wow congrats to TB and the amazing Larkin Poe!
Tyler and Gary Clark are my two go-to guys of the newer breed of blues players. Both very different, but no less impactful and inspiring. They're both also responsible for why i keep trying to make fuzz pedals work for me! haha
More exposure to Tyler! PLEASE!
A video with the dooooo and Tyler would be crazy
Amazing chemistry between the 2. I allow Larson to pause with his channel and join Bryant band.
Great interview and super tasty jams!
Tyler is an awesome musician and cool dude.

Seen him and the Shakes 2 times opening for Blackberry Smoke and once for GNR. Great musician and entertainer.

What a jam sesh...🤘🏼😈🤘🏼🏴
Saw Alan Haynes on 6th street. He was incredible.
I am forwarding this to my son TYLER
You should jam with the Larkin Poe ladies !
This is such nerdy fun.
that is cool stuff...thank tyler
Alan Haynes! Used to go see him play at a little club in SW Houston all the time. Alan Haynes and the Texas Boogie Band. He is great.
My first Nice guitar was a '68 Gibson SG. Dad bought it about '72. Kid let it go for $150. Got stolen around '77. Also had a Blue metaflake tuck n roll, Kustom 100 amp. Have nicer stuff now, but would love to have it back.
Wow a resume I couldn't even of been able to make up.
I saw them open for guns n roses in 2017, absolutely killer band

Maybe you could get Rebecca and Megan from Larkin Poe on your show?
Dang, that amp sounds great. It reminds me of my Princeton with a more treble; don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY PRINCETON, but... that thing is sweet.
Also, that VIBRATO, yeah...
Tyler you are an amazing player... But.. lol, I could see you were a little nervous playing just 3 foot apart ...
You are 1 brave cat brother!!!
Please add a drum and bass track to your opening jam 🤘
I have one of those japanese fotoflame strats. Those crack and they are pointy you can get cut while playing. I had mine redinished
goosebumps of the Jam!
Tyler Brayant, the best blues player
Yep, he's a beast.
Used to watch this guy open for Lance Lopez long ago.
You should interview Ben Mcleod from All Them Witches next!!!
Starting off with the MOST important question of them all.
looking back at some of your old vids. you know the one about top ten guitars that didn't have a PRS in it. Made me think about the Tele. Is it a single cut or a double cut? To me it's a single cut am I wrong?
What the dual shell pink pedal on mr Bryant’s board ;) maybe a replacement of the rodenberg ????
Top stuff.
Tyler is like a gremlin, only instead of feeding him after midnight, hit him with volume.
Watch him go goblin on the guitar!
Great Shit Men! Regards
Vielen Dank !
I love Tyler Bryant’s music. Check out ‘On To The Next’, from his 2019 album ‘Truth And Lies’. If you have no coffee or whiz, this’ll wake you right up.
✌ 👽 🎸
You guys should hang out more and jam… invite me too, lol…
turn that shit up love it
Was listening to this is the background and thought Theo Vaughan had gotten into guitar.
I like that kids style.
Your guitar sounds are so close I detected several waves of phase cancellation - wow! If that guy had bleach blonde hair - echos of Kurt.
What you think about the Album Starcatcher by Greta Van Fleet?

Tyler has a great pocket. … So does Tyler. … 👀
This beautiful man is Johnny Depp and John Mayers child.
I dont know why later Tyler is trying to think about technicality and chord changes, rather than freeflowing. But its just my opinion!
All roads lead to Blues
5:11 Fuchs is the German word for fox, pronounced fooks.
Seems Tyler likes Strats but no single coils.
Joe "pentatonic" bonnamasa
Eh
he seems like a serial killer but for guitar
Signature stuff is so last season
day 8 of asking pls give me a free electric guitar
Tyler looks like my girlfriend from high school. He plays better though.
Tyler looks like a homeless Rory Gallagher
Tyler needs to get out of Nashville. We have heard enough of these boomer "rock and roll" guitarists
He might like that style of music.
I don’t think I could ever listen to a band called Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown. Sorry. lol.
Eh, names don't matter. I ignored The Band for years because of their boring name and loved the music when I finally listened
All band names suck. The reason you like the name:
The music is good.
Just listened to a sampling. It’s not exactly what I expected but was basically black keys early 2000’s rock and so…NOPE
@@billyhatesnot true. All band names do not suck.
Dave is speaking. Everyone gather
Lol My name is Taylor and moms maiden name is Brown... Let's just say out of all the alternatives, it could be worse. Like Richard Cream... btw I'm constantly called Tyler, lol our names aren't picked on our own. I guess I resent that lol.
