- Hey guys! In this video we’re joined with pro player Patrick Franziska, fresh from beating Ma Long at the recent WTT Champions tournament.
So Butterfly have recently released the Franziska Innerforce ZLC. We paired this with Patrick’s go to rubbers, the Dignics 09c on the FH, and Dignics 05 on the BH. Enjoy!

What type of blade do you use and why? 👇💥
I use a 5 ply wooden blade because I already have a very quick rubber tenergy 05
With a carbon blade I wouldn't be able to control it
I use Joola Fever 😊
I USE TIMO BOLL BUTTERFLY ZLC
I know there are many mixed opinions on this but I love the super ALC. It feels very satisfying to play and maintains good dwell time while adding more speed making it easier for me to get the ball deep and near the white line. I combine it with 09c and tenergy 19, the 2 rubbers are pretty different but both are very spin oriented and have a lot of dwell time and I can create a safe arc over the net, which help me keep control, I just find it much easier to produce more quality shots with this new set up while keeping some control
Donic original no 1 because i feel the ball a lot and i think that it's useful when you are under pressure
Patrick is super sympathetic but his backhand is dangerous :D
Dan you've gone through a massive improvement over the last months or so, you can play with these top players a fair game. Congrats!

I always enjoy Franziska’s game. He is one of my favourites. His playing style has been changed a lot already, It seems he adopted Fanzd style. I would love to see him more in TTD. Tnx Dan👍

This blade is not selling well and I AM the reason, because I say to people Apolonia is better and The story ends with biased reviews. Too much tricks from companies

@@manudehanoi Apolonia is selling well and Franziska not, I speak with a lot of guys and they say the same "tricky value" with buying the same blade with different name on the blade. Apolonia zlc has legendary status like old primorac wood. Japanese didn't like buying "name blades" you can find a lot of ZJK ALC, and Layer ALC/ZLC Chinese has own good choice so they buy koto alc because it works with their rubbers so Franziska is for only German people, and they have a lot of Tibhar newcomers because good formula for new players and K3/MXD is not bad :) I saw Groth when he played with one Japanese player in first round and he throws his Franziska ZLC without even thinking. He never back to the blade so Dan gets money, blades with Patrick is not selling well for me it is good to not buy 250 euro blade who can broke any day

Using a TSP 5.5 balsa blade with andro hexer powergrip and donic bluestorm pro am...best combination I've found for a two wing topsip counter game close to the table - mid distance

I’m using Ovtcharov blade with Dignis 09c both sides ..It gives me a good control ....

I used the timo boll spirit. It has a good feeling.❤❤👍
My Carbonado 145 is faster than my Boll ALC. The difference probably reflects the weight difference (92g v 87g). But the 145 has bigger sweetspot and is more consistent. FH D09c and tried T05, T05H and T19 on BH, with the view that T05 is the most consistent of these rubbers (most predictable). I guess one's choice of blade and rubber is a personal one.
Hey Dan I know you tried IF ALC a while ago but switched back to TB ALC for a bit of extra zip. How do you feel about this ZLC? Would you use it or stay with your TB?
I will stay. He has no normal edition and then he used harimoto zlc which is funny because he mention the tb alc for purpose. I dont know what type of rubbers and what is your level buf if gou satisfied with your blade I will stay Or go for all wood 7ply.

He won’t do it. Watch other players who review that blade. It’s the best blade imo.

I really wish you would compare Innerforce Layer ALC (could do Harimoto ALC instead) and Innerforce Layer ZLC (could do Franziska ZLC or Apolonia ZLC instead) in a single video. I really can't find a good comparison on the internet between these two.

im using the Viscaria FL because I like the control and its quite good for topspins!!😛😛
@@BurhanAyan I have been playing for four and a half years almost including a massive 9 month long lockdown break. I have been using my Viscaria for maybe 14 months now and I still overshoot way too many times whether it's a push or BH/FH topspin. Plenty of really well controlled moments still, but mastering the blade takes years. I don't think non players could even imagine what pro players go through to play as well as they do.

There are small differences like Blade size, coreply thickness, stiffness and speed. But the price has the biggest difference 😁
What type of wood are the layers?
On my oppionion the main advantage on Innerlayer blades is the better backhand!

@@jiboo6850 Maybe that's the reason why Dan didn't compare them:)
The Apolonia blade is stiffer and has less vibration compered to the Franziska. I found that the franziska i a bit more head heavy than Apolonia (both with tenergy 05 on Fh and Bh).
@@lucacargnelutti4229 Oh, thanks for your input. I played an Apolonia blade for about two years and it would be interesting to compare both blades. I expected this comparison in Dan's video but he chose Harimoto instead.

Of course there is no huge difference between this and Apolonia.. but you are searching for an Apolonia that makes you ‘feel the ball’ more, the franziska could be the solution

Imo, the best value for money is the regular Innerforce ALC. I don't get it why they're charging +30€ for anything which is exactly the same as Innerforce ZLC.
Innerforce series are really rubber dependant since they match way better with mid,,to hard rubbers.

The serve wasn’t really bad.
Dan just didn’t get into position after it. It was an easy backhand countertop if he would’ve gotten into position.
But then again, Dan doesn’t play for a living… 😅

This blade is good as I played it for long time with ZGR and AGR from hooks on it. I am penholder and the blade is really good to control and powerful enough

Das Franziska ist ein super gutes Holz. Man hat sehr viel Kontrolle, macht wenig leichte Fehler und hat „Ruhe“ im Spiel. Ich mag es sehr

If we will be honest, Polish para olympics multi medalist Natalia Partyka didnt have own blade and she plays with pro players like her disability is nothing and didnt receive the honor to get personal blade and Franziska who didnt win anything, who has only german OEM from Butterfly on his side has own blade which is similar to Apolonia it should makes you vomit. Btw super viscaria plays like tibhar drinkhall powerspin and no one talks about it.
