For about 40 training hours now, ive been testing apolonia zlc 94gr and harimoto zlc 89gr with two sets of rubber: Fastarc G1/ Rakza 9 and Rakza Z EH/Rakza Z
The conclusion i got its Apolonia goes better with tensor-like rubbers with grippy topsheet. I had more control and stable arc with fastarcs set both fh/bh.
Harimoto ZLC i think pairs better with Chinese -like rubbers, has more flex, deader low gear and much more elastic with full motion. Id say similar to a Viscaria minus the cataulpt.
Great review! Exactly my thoughts after playing Apolonia for quite some time: difficult to play on fh, easy bh loops, but bh blocks fly off and one has to do counterloop to counter incoming topspin.

I believe a Review rating is more a setup things and the combination of Rubber couod change the final conclusion. I think this Blade was not produced thinking about chineses Rubber.
So with a BTY Rubber in the BH It should be Fine for better grade.
Very honest, balanced opinion. Most reviewers just say it's amazing at everything. For average players, it is frustrating to imagine that the blade will make all the difference when it is technique that counts!
I was curious about this balde since it's the sable plywood construction as my current Innerforce ZLC. I'm happy with it because of its dwell time and spin capacities, but i feel it lacks of power sometimes specially on my BH as well :(

Is Apolonia ZLC similar to the new "Innerforce Layer ZLC"?
I put Butterfly Rozena as the backhand rubber - which mitigates the hard feeling.

Hi Gan, i played for 3 years with an Innerforce ZLF (with T80) and after that time i developed a better technique and play higher leagues and now this blade is too slow for me so i tried something faster like Nittaku acoustic but i didn't like it and i wanted to stay with blade that has an innerfiber technology (specifficaly ZL fiber). I'm deciding between Innerforce ZLC and Tiago Apolonia ZLC but i don't know if there is some specific difference. I like more flexible blade with soft touch that has very good kick effect in combination with tenergy (im used to it because of Innerforce ZLF). I'll be glad if you can help me to do a good choice because i dont have opportunity to try these two blades for free. Thanks
Apo zlc is harder than inner zlc

Both of them need very good basic skills to control it. And innerforce layer zlc is easyer to control between these two blades.

Putting Hurricane 3 on the backhand is not very ideal -- should consider JPN or ESN rubber.
