This is a stretch - but if you were to use a Lumen to optimise your food and sleep it would marginally increase your chance of beating a Space Marine in single combat
I'd say that makes it worth a shot, get $50 off here : www.lumen.me/majorkill

Looks great, initial cost is a bit high but the £20 monthly is a killer
The Lumen basically just tells you when you've eaten carbs, in case you somehow didn't notice while eating. Not a scam, just a gimmick. Also, when you buy something, you should own it. Paying monthly to use a $300 device is asinine.

Beating a Khornite berserker in melee combat and calling him a pansy, what a legend haha
Would have been for satisfying if they were a Slaanesh marne, because then that insult probably would have hit them right in the pride.
Korn most have been so impressed
Ironically you can only do that to a Khornite Berserker. While they´re strong and fast af, they don´t really use any Technique so they´re, very relative speaking, easy to parry.
To be fair, the berserker was near death anyways having been recently hit by a rocket, iirc
@@justhecukethat was the 2nd beserker later in the book.
Spoilers below for those who havent read it.
if i remember thats on a oil rig where caine makes a show of it since half the people with him are there to arrest him cause his fellow commisar hates him and brought tallarn raiders to arrest him and this was one of the things that made them really start to respect him and lead one of them to start a more radical faith among the tallarn that caine is like a vessel of the emperor or something, which caine would definitely hate. The first beserker was during the attack on the snow outpost on the planet when the valhallan rear echelon units had to fight i think slaneeshi cultists and a khornate beserker.
Reminds me of the story of the guardsman and space marine mock battle where the guards man lures multiple space marines close to him and then basically says he won cause he had charges on the floor. The space marines tell him that he would die too but the guardsman goes on a speech on how he’s replaceable so death is always part of the strategy.
My man, Oan Mkoll. The Tanith ghost who loves environmental kills.
If I recall it's even funnier given marines go good job only for the "charges" to turn out to be ration packs
That same guardsman Oan Mkoll also defeated a fucking dreadnaught. Mkoll is without a doubt the biggest chad in all of 40k

That spacemarine that got the cut-scratch on his armor from Cain... the fact he chose to keep the mark can also be seen as 'Had this not been a mock-battle and this not been a mere mortal human... I would have been dead from my hubris'. Which is VERY cool.
I remember hearing a story about a guardsman that was getting told off by a tech priest for over loading his laseifle. He had turned up the power output of the power pack and only got 10 shots per power cell. But each shot would drop a space marine.
Id believe that
He must’ve felt like a god whenever he did one shot an Astartes. Like yea he’s burning through ammo but he’s also burning through heretics😂

At later stages of alcoholism your system has simply adapted too much and you cant function normally anymore when sober. But you dont get sharper, you are just being less fucked.
When a cadian kills a chaos space marine it is the most important day in the chaos marines life.
For the Cadian, it is Tuesday.
i remember someone mentioning a guardsman from the gaunt's ghosts novels that beat 3 white scars in a hunting competition by leading them all in a trap with c4. the three called it a draw, only for the guardsman to reveal that the presumed explosives were just packs of recaf
They also had a convoy attacked by a 4 or 5 chaos marines in one of the early books. The ghosts killed them all, but I think they anticipated the attack and prepared for it. Depends on weapons they have.
One also managed to kill a dreadnought
@@jeddpiresoh fuck dude that’s wild
@@jeddpiresit was a blind dreadnought but yes I think it was their chief scout that got the kill
On Herador a group of CSM were sent to hunt down gaunts tiny team, I think Gaunt killed two with powersword ambushes and one got shot repeatedly in the head with dozens of crossbow bolts from the villagers.
In the first book I seem to recall they killed at least one Iron Warrior with a missile launcher too.
"Got killed by a oversized toothpick."
That got me falling of my bloody chair from laughter... literally.
why is there blood on your chair?
should I be concerned that your chair is bloody?
How much blood?
It's not exactly a normal guardsman vs a normal marine...but a Lucifer Black officer landed a wound on Primarch Alpharius. That's top tier
But that's all he got.
@@blakemccorkle18Yeah but that's pretty much a regular (but with extremely good gear, the weapons they have can pierce through primarch armor) human wounding a god-like entity, and he did it in a 1v1 it's not like he got a lucky hit during when the rest of his men were being slaughtered. Most space marines aren't even able to do something like that.

Video idea: which legion had the strongest space marines on average (as in individual marines)
1. Alpha Legion
2. Gray Knights

Thousand sons
@@L_T31 I'd change that around tbh
We talking physical strength or overall power? Cause if it’s the former then I think a good comparison would be to watch the strongest vs weakest primarch videos. If it’s the latter then that might be interesting
You didn't mention Sly Marbo. I believe he has killed some Chaos Space Marines
Sly Marbo did not give Major permission to mention him.
I hear Sly Marbo never even killed a Chaos Space Marine.
Technically the Warlord Titan killed them when it fell onto them.
Forgot your very own Sly Marbo! Oh the shame!
My favorite Sly Marbo quote: "AaAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"
That's just cheating, though.
Scout Sgt Mkoll (of Gaunts Ghost) humiliating 3 loyalists space marines on a training exercise on route to salvation reach is fantastic, same guy who took out a chaos dreadnought on his own
I don't think it's humiliation if the Marines laughed at the cleverness of the Guardsman...Or after they got bluffed
Damn, you did Mkoll dirty with no mention of him out playing 4 white scars in a stealth training exercise.
Or him dispatching Dreadnought, crippled tho, but still a fucking Dreadnought
Special mention to Oan Mkoll who outplayed a whole squad of space marines in a training exercise and luring them into a landmine. They argued he would die, but he said it was one guardsman for multiple space marines, which is a great trade.
That's mkoll his stealth is op only one who was better was mkvenner
He also bluffed with the explosives meant to take the space marines and himself down actually being coffee.
And then there's that time some Lucifer Blacks stabbed a primarch...
Granted it was Alpharius (or was it Omegon?🤔) who are the weakest Primarchs but it’s a hell of a feat nonetheless.
Yeah, that was a great moment. Even Alpharius (or Omegon) was suprised and kinda impressed.

That one human officer Majorkill mentioned was a nobleman called Vauban. I forgot where he was from, but apparently he had studied the sword all his life. There was a cool little dialogue exchange before the duel and I'm disappointed that the character got killed off so quickly.
The second siege of Hydra Cordatus
Find a way or make one.
That was a good story.
@@Kellen_Petersen I think it was "Storm of steel"
@@balticbvll2987 Storm of Iron. one of my favorites.
The two faced one another in silence until Vauban drew his power sword and assumed a relax fighting stance, though fear of this warrior pulsed along every nerve of his body.
In a calm voice he said, 'I am Castellan Prestre de Roche Vauban the sixth, heir to the lands of Burgovah on the planet Joura, scion of the House Vauban. Cross blades with me if you wish to die, foul daemon.'
The warrior smiled. 'I have no such impressive titles, human. I am called Honsou. Half-breed, mongrel, filth, scum. I will cross blades with you.'
Vauban activated the blade of his sword and dropped into a fighting crouch as Honsou approached. The battery fell silent as the two combatants circled one another, searching for a weakness in the other's defence.
Vauban raised his sword in salute and, without warning, leapt towards Honsou, thrusting with his energised blade.
Honsou swayed aside and swept his sword round, slashing the blade towards Vauban. He ducked and spun away, slashing high with his sword.
Honsou deflected the sweep and stepped back, his sword raised before him. Vauban recovered his balance and advanced towards Honsou. He lunged again and Honsou expertly blocked the thrust, rolling his wrists and slashing at Vauban's head. But he had read the move on Honsou's eyes and the castellan dodged the blow.
Wary now, the pair circled each other, their defences alert for any sudden moves.
Honsou attacked, a flashing whirlwind of steel, forcing Vauban backwards step by step. Vauban parried a vicious slash aimed at his chest, launching a lightning riposte at his foe. The blade scraped a deep furrow in Honsou's armour, but slid clear before drawing blood.
Honsou retreated and Vauban followed with a grin of anticipation, launching himself at Honsou with fresh vigour. Honsou was a powerful warrior, but Prestre Vauban had been a student of swordplay his entire life and each attack drew fresh blood from his adversary.
He hammered his enemy's defences again and again, forcing him slowly backwards until Honsou stumbled and lost his footing.
Vauban spun left and struck out at Honsou's sword arm. Honsou was quick, bringing his block up just in time to intercept the blow, and their weapons met in a coruscating halo of sparks. Vauban roared as Honsou's blade snapped and his own smashed home. The Iron Warrior grunted in pain as his arm was severed just above the elbow.
Honsou retreated, stumbling as blood sprayed from the stump of his arm.
Seizing the opportunity, Vauban leapt in the deliver the deathblow, but, at the last second, realised Honsou had lured him into the attack.
Honsou roared and stepped to meet Vauban, slamming inside his guard and hammering the snapped length of his sword blade through his silver breastplate and into his heart.
White-hot pain flooded Vauban as Honsou twisted the blade, bright blood pouring down his chest and darkness veiling his sight. Had he heard someone crying his name?
He felt his lifeblood pouring from him and looked into the eyes of his killer.
'Damn you...' he whispered.
'That happened a long time ago, human,' hissed Honsou, but Vauban was already dead.
Video ideas:
1. what if one of the factions were to die, like the Orcs, Tyranids, etc.? How would the galaxy react?
2. What were each of the primarchs' opinions/relationships on Custodians?
3. What are each of the factions' opinions on Custodians?
I can answer 1 easily. If the imperium disappears then the galaxy is eaten by ‘Nids, chaos, and orks. If any other main faction goes away then the imperium conquers all. If a minor faction like the Tau cease to exist no one cares.
A few of the ghosts fighting a few space marines was on of the wildest scenes I’d ever read. If I remember, Larkin shoots one with a hot shot las-sniper rifle in the same weak spot twice.
Heres the thing about Cain; A graduate of the Schola progenium *IS* a beast.
Makes you wonder how a loser like Tomas Beije managed that.
Yes and no. While Schola definitely helped Cain refine his natural talents, it is nothing but an elite university for regular humans. There are multiple examples in the Cain's books of other graduates that were mediocre at best and talentless self-centered pieces of shit at the worst. Just like with graduates from any modern elite university.
What makes Ciaphas so awesome is even after beating the Chaos Marine, he didn't brag to anybody. Every character has to keep telling Ciaphas how good he is, becaue of how humble he is. He never once brags even though he should.
5:32 gaunt looks so beast in that art work plus I love the bolt pistol and power sword combo in mortal hands
Mkoll, the lead scout from Gaunts Ghosts once killed a Chaos Dreadnaught single handedly, while also keeping another of his less experienced scouts safe. The dreadnaught is wounded (I believe it's blinded), but it doesn't make it any less impressive, that man is a beast! Gotta love Gaunt and his Ghosts
It was pretty poor writing tbh a exploding lasgun and some oversized plant barbs shouldn't have dented a dreadnought
@@clydedoris5002, the armour on dreadnought was already cracked by the hits of heavy weapons in previous encounters. Also, lasgun power packs do explode pretty violently due to the sheer amount of energy they contain. Even if the armour was fully intact, one such explosion would severely damage it.
As for the barbs, they killed the space marine inside the sarcophacus through a hole made in armour by lasgun detonation
Master of the Maelstrom:
A tzeench cultist kills a chaos space marine with a black powder gun. The force of the impact causes the marine to slip off the edge of a glass cliff and die (the whole planet is made of glass so its hard to climb)
That story about a Luna Wolf getting one of his hearts blasted because of his hubris reminds me of the first Deathwatch campaign I DM'd:
Me: "Okay, the corrupted servitor charges at you screaming incoherently and brandishing an industrial buzzsaw; Do you want to dodge or parry?"
Player: "HA! Neither; I take it on the chest!"
Me: "...Okay, if you're sure" "With a horrific schreeching sound the piston driven buzzsaw slams against your chestplate, ripping through it in a shower of sparks, ceramite and blood; You take 12 wounds of damage (two thirds of his HP total)"
Player: "... ... ... I think I'll parry the next one."
FYI the greatest Guardsman vs Space Marine moment I've ever read was when Mkoll, aka the most badass scout of all time from Gaunt's Ghosts, 1v1'd a Chaos Dreadnaught by baiting it into a trap and blowing it the fuck up. Honestly there are so many moments in the lore where Gaunt's Ghosts fucked up Chaos Astartes, there should be a second video made titled "Every time the Tanith First and Only HUMILATED a Space Marine" lol
Another honorable mention should have been the Kriegsman bombing himself and the khornite space marine in the SODAZ fan animation
One of the Funniest one i can recall is when during a training regieme or something a Guardsmen is able to trap 3 whitescars with what seems like mines under them, saying
"that's why the guard always we we are expendable"
after a white scar inspected the mine only to discover it was MRE rations packed to look like bombs
"and we can bluff like bastards"
and then the whitescars started laughing their asses off at being beaten and then duped.
Story is Killbox by Dan Abnett, the soldier is Scout Sergeant Oan Mkoll from the Tanith 1st and if memory serves, the three astartes who appear in the GG stories are one each from the white scars, silver guard, and iron snakes
Oan Mkoll gaunts ghosts took out a chaos dreadnought on his own
How this did not get a mention is unbelievable. Poor show.
Mkoll's fight with the Dreadnaught is an amazing highlight of 'Ghostmaker'.

Guardsmen killing space marine? Like one single ant trying to kill a preying mantis
I mean if ants had better weaponry its possible
Possible, but very difficult
It depends on ants just like guardsmen
I remember a book where a bunch of feudal world cavalry managed to kill a grey knight with a lance charge.
Thousands of genetically augmented chaos infused demigods fall from the sky to wreak havoc on the battlefield
The imperial guard: Nah. I'd win.
One of my finest days as a guard player was when a squad of plague marines cornered one of my infantry squads. The squad meltagunner barbecued one of them before they changed into meele the marines proceeded to slaughter the guardsmen. Except one the melatguner who doged everything they threw at him, made his moral check with flying colors and then beat one of the nurgle spawn to death with his bear hands. He then kept them tied down long enough for sly (who had already heaved his demo charg) to come in and obliterate the surviving marines after they finally got lone guardsman.
Made my Wednesday a hell of a lot better mate!
I dunno why, but I have a mental picture of the Word Bearer that killed that Elysian Lieutenant, looking down at the shattered form of that guardsman, taking some token from the Lieutenant's armor, and keeping it as a kind of prize. Not because he wanted a trophy, or a skull, or anything... but as a reminder that there were true warriors like himself in the Imperium.
I can only imagine how upset the Nightlords got being bullied by simple guardsmen. ☠
Jurgens was the best to me. His best friend is fighting for his life 1v1 on a chaos space marine and Jurgen pulls out a melta and puts a hole through the dudes chest.
Aahhh Gaunts Ghosts. That plus Eisenhorn and Ragnar series are what started this whole obsession for me
Ciaphas Cain slaying Space Marines left and right all the while thinking he's a fraud.
In one of the Imperial Guard short story collections, Typhus and his honour guard are waltzing thru a battlefield, with Typhus recounting about how these warriors have fought by his side for thousands of years and are the finest to ever- right before a Guardsman in a Sentinel ambushes them by crashing through a brick wall, and shreds two of them immediately with Autocannon/Heavy Bolter (can't remember) fire. Which makes Typhus rage and seethe incredibly hard. (May not have been Typhus but defs a Death Guard big dog)
One of the best scenes that shows both how powerfull a chaos marine is and how he got defeated by a fresh recruit, is in the novel "volpone glory". The volpone bluebloods attack a city that is defended by the bloodpact and led by a word bearer. The word bearer slaughters 2 entire squads of the bluebloods but than he got surprised by a servant of the bluebloods, who has stolen a uniform to fight alongside them and he kills the Astartes with a melts he founds on the ground
cain spent allot of his time with the reclamers dualing the tech marine, he says that whenever they had time they would train together and that even when they werernt he was using the servo skulls that they use to train as well.

Will you make a video on each legion's best accomplishment/battle/victory? Counting unification wars, crusade and heresy
Mericus and the squad somehow stood out in book containing so many important characters. He was portrayed as easy going, privileged and sort of directionless, but still very competent. When shit hits the fan he steps up big time and his group of soldiers prank and bait the nightlords multiple times, killing up to a dozen or more each occasion. It was fucking awesome to see a tight- knit group of well trained humans do serious damage to legionaries and fuck with their plans

Cant forget about trooper Simpkin from the cadian XXth fuster clucks that gave his life detonating a krak grenade killing himself and 3 chaos space marines when they tried to get him to surrender to their dark gods.
My favorite story is from Scout Sgt Mkoll during a training session against three space marines of different chapters in the end he is caught or “slain” but he tell them they are dead as well. Cause he planet fake anti tank mines underneath them and positioned them in I stand directly on top.
He stated “my life for three Astartes is a pretty fething good trade.”
Speaking of the Gaunt's Ghosts, during a training exercise one of the guardsmen manages to take out a space marine and it seems that the rest would take him down but then the guardsman reveals that he rigged his surroundings to explode basically ensuring he can take all the SM with him.
Don't know if it counts but there was a scene in the book, "Siege of Castellax" (not 100% on the spelling) where a particularly sadistic Iron Warrior gets pinned under some rubble, and the skinny little slave he was attempting to kill taunts him for dying to a lowly slave as he slides his rusty knife into the Iron Warriors neck. Been a few years, but believe that was more or less the gist of it.
The scene where the gareon 12 fight the chaos marines was cool, but i remember being blown away that none of them even got wounded.

I like the breaking of the trope that a lot of 40k heads get stuck in. Letting power levels be more fluid (but still there) allows characters to be defined by their own skill and effort, rather than just being tierlisted and written off. Mortals can beat astartes, astartes can beat custodians, primarchs are not completely invincible like they are portrayed in the old legends that are likely as accurate as myth at this point. This is so much better in my opinion, and it allows characters to shine.
As an add-on to Cain's little duel with the Reclaimers Marine: his opponent was a Techmarine for added badassery. Imagine a 8-9 feet tall transhuman soldier with added mechadendrites. Even if the Techmarine never used his additional limbs in the duel, it still speaks of Cain's good instincts, cause the Techmarine could have still blocked the hit out of instinct.

If I remember right Cain actually beat 2 khorne beserkers in the same book. The 2nd was wounded but still made enough of a fight of it that Cain impressed the Tallaran’s with him despite then being there to arrest him for false charges of heresy
Basically he made such a show of it that he effectively cleared his name via trial by combat
I recently read Phaaros, so good to see it mentioned in a video.
7:50 Thank you Majorkill for mentioning that. I remember reading that in First Heretic. That was a lame way for an astartes to die.
and then theres colonel schaeffer of the 13th penal legion "the last chancers". while his soldiers usually die horribly in suicide missions, he himself made it out alive every time. which includes after various missions against chaos forces at least the survival against chaos space marines, often engaged in melee combat.
