great walk thru. thank you. i am eyeing up the latest version of this strobe and imagine much of this will carry over. at this price point, and for my needs, these seem a perfect fit for cost and performance.
Great tutorial Professori. Thanks. Am thinking of getting a set real soon and this vid helps. I just need to work on how the umbrella gets attached safely...😆😂
Hey there.! I just purchased Sk400iiV kit.... I wanted to clarify that these won't work at high speed sync like for multiple shots right?? I have to wait for it to recycle?? Right!?
thanks so much for the video, no blabla, just the necessary info! I wanted to buy the xt16 trigger for the sk400ii but they told me it wouldn't,t be compatible and sold me the x pro N (which doesn't let me trigger the 2 lamps independently)
Glad I could help. I made the video cause I couldn't find any on these strobes to show my students. I bought it as a kit from B&H and it came with the trigger.
The X-Pro trigger does allow you to trigger two lamps independent of each other. You have to set each light with it's own group similar as was shown in this video.
hi the MOD/OFF button is not working for me (NEVER sincs i bought it) -> at the min. 06:28. When i push the button nothing happen. Can you help me pls?
I know this video was uploaded one year back... But still, please reply to my comment sir... What if, we do not switch off the strobe button and directly switch off the (regular) main button, where the plugin is?? It's extremely important for me . Please do let me know sir 🙏
Then you will power down the device. Still let it cool down before putting away. I am not an expert on these lights. I made this video mainly for my students.
Nice simple review, but there are a couple of things you mentioned that is not correct. 1. You have the lamps around the wrong way. The centre lamp is the modelling lamp & the circular one is the strobe (you mentioned this around the other way in the video) 2. The modelling light is not selectable simply as high & low. If you include off, there are three options. OFF/ON 100%/ON Proportional. - OFF is obvious. - ON 100% has the modelling lamp at full brightness, regardless of the power output set on the strobe. - ON Proportional is abbreviated on the display as PROP. In this mode, the modelling light brightness is proportional to the power output that is selected on the strobe settings. Hope this helps. Otherwise this is a nice video.
These lights are only for photography. They will not work for video because they are not constant lights, they are only strobes. For video, I use the Godox ML30Bi amzn.to/3J1UwkX
Probably more than you need. It's a radio wave trigger. As long as it's on the same channel it will work. You could probably have hundreds work off the same trigger.
They work well, but if I was purchasing for myself, I might opt for a couple of speed lights because they are more portable. I tend to work mostly on location, so lighter is better for me.

Quick, simple and to the point. Exactly what I wanted. Very much appreciated.
That's always my goal
Yes! This was a video topic that I've been looking a good while for!
Thank you so much.
Great tutorial.
GOD bless you.
Superb tutorial thank you so much for the practical information
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this. I love how you explained everything in detail :) have a great day!
Thank you! You too!

Just aim them away from your face when you open them 😁

Yes, you need to wait for them to recycle just like most strobes.
Can this work on a Nikon D70 or D80?
The remote is universal and works with all hot shoes.

quick question, I'm having a hard time connecting the same trigger to both of my strobes. Can you help?? Please!

Thank you for the video! really hepled
can you explaine a video how to control cool and warm lighting setup in godex
This light only has one color temp
Thank you for the video !
You're Welcome!
Does anyone know if the Flashpoint R2Pro trigger will trigger the flash remotely on these flash units?
How much watts is the model lamp? And is the light from the model lamp good enough to use as continuous light for photoshoot?
I don't know the wattage but it is NOT bright enough for continuous lighting.
Thanks for the review, but you have the bulb types reversed. The long protruding one is the modeling light, and the clear circular one is the strobe.
Yes, swapped these in my head while I was recording. I hope everyone can forgive me on that one.
what are the usb plugs in the light?i yust got my led 400sk
I have never used them, but I believe they are for firmware upgrades.
Thanks really helpful
You're Welcome
Would this set up be good for an indoors softball shoot?
Do you mean an indoor softball game or just taking pictures of the team? They would be great for portrait work.

Do Godox X2T Trigger works on Godox SK400ii?
I don't know
Hey can I change the modeling light to a brighter led bulb would that work ?
No idea. I suppose anything that fits the threads would work, but I don't know why you would want to.
I know this video was uploaded one year back...

Can you shooting with 1/250 shutter speed without a black line?
I am not sure. I don't use these on the regular and I have not done a full test. 1/200 might be the max.

Yes, I made a comment about the error in the description.
Can we adjust the % power of modelling light? Mine if below 100% it will turned off
Hello will this work good with optic snoots?
Hi. I don't know, I have never tried.
Thank you!!
You're welcome.

Does the trigger also applicable on sony A7iii?
As far as I know, it works on any flash mount. I would recommend going to the website to check for the list of supported devices.
how do you change the color temp
You can't change the color temp of these strobes.
@@professorz11 Thank you!
Is it compatible with the Canon sl3 camera?
It is compatible with any modern still camera that has a hot show.
how many sk400ii strobes can be used with 1 trigger? maximum?
Probably more than you need. It's a radio wave trigger. As long as it's on the same channel it will work. You could probably have hundreds work off the same trigger.
This will it match nikon d7500?
The trigger is universal. It fits on any cameras flash mount. I have personally used it with Canon and Lumix. It should work with Nikon just the same.
Thank you
You're Welcome
These full manual or are they ttl?
They not TTL.
Can this run on a battery?
If you can find a battery that provides as much power as a 110 outlet, then I suppose you could.
👌
do you recommend?
They work well, but if I was purchasing for myself, I might opt for a couple of speed lights because they are more portable. I tend to work mostly on location, so lighter is better for me.
@@professorz11 you recommend two sk400?
hie i have a question? can i use sk400 in video shooting?
No. It’s a strobe light.
