Since I'm early I would like to take this opportunity and say that you are one of the reasons that made me start photography couple months ago, you cant even imagine how much your content has inspired me and what pleasure it gives me to watch your vids after work...
I've really noticed a lot of growth in your work the last few months. Your work has always been great but I feel you're creating a body of work that is more well rounded and tells more about a scene.
Your video made me feel more in love with Porto, where I’ve been living for 2 years now, and I believe I did not captured a tenth of the city you were able to do in only 3 days. It’s night and it’s raining outside but after watching this, I can’t wait to go out with my camera and absorb this city the same spectacular way you guys did! What an amazing video! Thank you for sharing your art and your moments here. 👏
I’ve been in NewYork, London, Berlin, Vienna, Venice, Lucca, Newport and a lot more. Nothing compares to Porto. Thank you for having me as a guest last year.
Nice to see you walking around Porto and see how you photographed it. ❤ I’ve been to Porto many times in the past for business but I never had the time to really visit the city. This summer I decided to go there with my family and I spent almost 10 days shooting tons of pictures … what a beautiful city!
Nice video! I love Porto and I sincerely think you manage to capture and trasmit the spirit and the idiosyncrasy of that fascinating portuguese city. Congrats!
My family is from Portugal, however I was born in the states. At 32, I finally elf the U.S and visited the Azores, a group of Portuguese islands far off the coast of the mainland. My mom was born there. This upcoming year, I plan to visit Porto, stay in a hostel and just go and eat pastel de natas and take lots of beautiful photos. I could cry looking at this city, i want it to be my home someday
As a Porto citizen, it's wonderful to see people enjoying and loving our city as much as we do. Porto is truly a magical place, and you’ve captured its essence beautifully! Well done! Amazing pictures and amazing video! Next time you're in Porto, let me know-I'd be happy to show you around! Cheers!
Agree with you. In early June I spent a week in Porto and found it amazing to photograph. Very atmospheric at times and changing constantly with the light. Great shots and lovely video - bought back some treasured memories - thanks!
Been there, done that, great city ! Did the Douro riverboat cruise to Spanish border & back. Walked across the bridge, took the cable car down to a great open air market ! Going back to southern Portugal in early 2025!
Hi. I don't like urban areas and, consequently, am not a street-photographer. But I am a photographer and I am writing this to say how much I enjoyed your excellent street photography. You took a great deal more than I thought about but, often, when I thought "Capture that!" you did. My favourite example is the human shadows against the red (canvas?) background - and many, many more. Great work, thank you.
Thank you for this Faisal. We will be spending 5 days in Porto as part of our trip to Lisbon for 11 days. As usual, we always seem to stay in places that require more days. We leave 10/17. In Porto, we rented a condo just below the park you were standing in. The front door faces the park.
Love those Ricoh images. So much character. Has that film/digital look. Leica incredible obviously but love the Ricoh haha. I’ll just leave it at that 👀
I love seeing people enjoying the cities in my country. We are small but we have a lot to give to the world. I hope you have the opportunity to travel more around Portugal. Visit the Gerês National Park.
I hope that your experience in my city will make you come back. Porto is undoubtedly a beautiful city in many ways and photographing in the morning, very early, with fog in the riverside area, is simply unique
Welcome to Porto, my city! Beautiful video and beautiful photos of places where I and many other Porto natives have photographed so many times and without getting tired. I'm sure Faizal was caught by someone. I'll try to find out.
Great video, great photos in a great and beautiful city. You need way more than 3 days to fully explore the photographic potential of Porto. And you still have the food, the wine, the architecture… So many things, and I’m not even from Porto I’m from Lisbon… :-)
Was just there for a month, such an inspiring place. I shot more that month than any other month of my life. Went to Jardim do Morro for sunset three times and it was a beautiful shared human experience. Came for the view but stayed for the RHCP cover band😂
I was just in Porto end of August (last month) and same! I’ve been listening to RHCP constantly since I’ve been back in the states 😂😂😂 they were also playing in other areas like in front of the McDonald’s
You're back! I missed you. :) Portugal is really magical. Have you also visited Lisbon? I went to ONLY Lisbon and I liked it, but had a few reservations, and wondered if you knew both. (Sorry, not really a photog question.)
Since I'm early I would like to take this opportunity and say that you are one of the reasons that made me start photography couple months ago, you cant even imagine how much your content has inspired me and what pleasure it gives me to watch your vids after work...
Same! I got into photography because of faizal and i’ve tried to gate keep his content 😅
Love you
Can third this comment. Love your work.
I've really noticed a lot of growth in your work the last few months. Your work has always been great but I feel you're creating a body of work that is more well rounded and tells more about a scene.
Ah, that's very kind of you to say!
Also that bird that landed on the railing was absolutely a paid actor, for anyone wondering
Post the model release.
I was on a 15 kill streak and called it in
Love Porto - amazing place for photography, food, wine and just hanging out.
One of the most engaging and enjoyable videos/films that I’ve seen.
That soundtrack blended perfectly with the stills and audio.
Great work man.
Appreciate the love

Nice video and city! Considering the M11, but the reported freezing issues are putting me off. Have you experienced this?
