Insulation is falling apart!

what insulation name type and brand and link to product or where to by would you use if all the insulation inside plenum of 22 year old Carrier GASPACK unit has disintegrated...i know i dont want to use foam core. and then the best most permanent way to install and stick to the walls.. looks like the spray from the supply house but anything else to make sure it doesn't fall down onto the exchanger ...thats what started to happen with the old stuff and it stunk up the house like antifreeze leaking on an engine block. just curious for thoughts

You can get replacement insulation sheets from the manufacturer. Most of the time they send sticky spikes that hold the insulation in

Wait hold shit since when he’ll they make a spray glue for that because we just duct tape insulation back on becomes never knew made that shit

I've been using spray glue for as long as I can remember. They sell cans at all the supply houses.

What is mastic and what’s it’s topically used for?

Duct sealant. Paint it on as a paste and it bricks up. Keeps everything together

@@WorldofHVAC mastic don’t hold damn unit door instulation at all man we brushed it on doors and the moister from unit running caused it to make a mess man lol but yeah ima buy me that can spray glue because that work great for units about 2 plus years old that installation get sucked to coil on them rachet installs we had nothing do with but fixed and what not
