    ...."and not manipulate people with marketing".....said in a marketing video for local food in the Adirondacks. What's wrong with honest marketing?!?!

    This video hides the truth behind real farmers in the ADK. The ADKs were founded on commercial dairy farming. Hobbiest farming is a new trend in the ADKs. Commercial dairy farming is not in a good place right now. Farms all across the park are struggling and losing everything. To make a video saying that farming is great and tranquil in the ADKs is highly misleading. Besides hobby farming all other farms are failing. Extremely

      I am aversive to animal-dependant food industry, mostly because of very clear nutritional science against the consumption of animal products(which I'm happy to share sources/tough dialogue) and the unethical treatment of animals and surrounding environment. All that to establish that I appreciate you commenting this. I am young adult grew up in Wilton NY at the foothills of the Andirondacks and this predominantly white and affluent group of trendy-farmers is beyond just obnoxious-- they are "specializing" in products that benefit only themselves and the few people that can afford their yuppie food. Commodified, fake, individualist hipster bullshit is what this wreaks of. I'm sure you agree

      Noah Parslow Could not have said it better myself. Individualized hipster bullshit is exactly what is happening. The locals laugh at these farms.

      @@toddfarmer8317 *individualist. Important distinction. These people are not at all invested in dismantling current power structures and working and offering material support to community because their white "homesteader" privelege is dependent on those systems. I am an anarcho-syndicalist.

      Apparently, English isn't your strong suit nor is logic. So I'll ask a very important question. What The Fuck Are You Talking About?

    • @jaylale2428
      @jaylale2428 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sup
      Are you talkin bout Timbuctoo-spelled that way...a 40 acre land in the Adirondack mountains given to 3000 black families that were from nyc at the time mid 1800 by Gerrit smith and named Timbuctoo by John Brown....
      I wonder how we can get that back
