I have had six Airedales over the years. We were fortunate that most of them were mild mannered. The funny thing is that they would throw major temper tantrums during obedience training…..One of the dogs at 11 months would climb the fence and go for walks around the neighborhood. I would get calls from the neighbors that he was wandering the neighborhoods. It generated some concern because Airdales can be menacing and do have a tendency to engage in bullying if they sense fear…….the only problem was that I would look out in my back yard and the dog would be laying in the grass…….about a week later I saw him climbing the fence back into the yard..
