22:18 oblivious people are a huge hurdle. My apartment complex has a fenced in dog park and the novice dog owners with their poorly trained dogs like to just come up to the entrance gate and wait for us to finish and leave, meanwhile I'm trying to get my Dobe to just drop that duce so we can bounce, but his focus is on them. ~2 yr old rescue from texas, I've had him since november and he's made leaps and bounds in the progress department but its hard to correct for human ignorance... 🤦🏽‍♂

His previous owner, as soon as he stopped to put on brakes let him not do whatever, he is trying this with me. I simply drag him, he learned within 2 minutes..get up and walk! 😂😂

My dog will stop in the middle of the street,cars coming so I have to pull her out of the street. It's really gotten bad. My back hurts because of her. I thought about getting a different dog. She's an embarrassment and I don't want to walk her

I have to tell you guys this technique doesnt work for stubborn dogs like my pyrenees. Why? They will lie down and enjoy a nap on the side walk! After 4 months trying new approches, I finally find what works: drag the dog with all your force to prove that you are the boss.

Yeah whenever we got puppies they always get kennel trained before we allow them on the bed. My Shiba Inu is the baby of the family and she now has bed rights but before we had to let her sleep in her kennel with us in the room and the other dogs in their beds. She would howl nonstop, wanting to be let out. We trained her vigorously during that time to not make noise when she was in the kennel. Only when she got much older, maybe about 9 months to a year old did we start allowing her on the bed. We didn't invite her up there. She just started coming up there on her own. 😂 And in good Shiba fashion. When we told her to get down, she would try her luck and pretend like she's playing fetch with us and bring the ball up there and then eventually just pretend she's tired and sit on the bed. We allowed it because she was trained and we told her stay to let her know that we were giving her access to the bed. She's a prissy princess of the family so we do let her get away with it. I found your channel by complete accident but I do like this style of you choosing movies and picking them apart when it comes to dog training. 😂😂😂😂 The ruler 11:13 nope. Oh my god. I'm so sorry I had to stop there. I had PTSD from this.

Found your vid after a frustrating (always frustrating) walk with my 3 1/2 yr old Ridgeback. Great dog but on walks he always find ways to maintain a level of control that we have never broken. Which leads to insane frustration. We had a trainer when he was just over a year and he’s perfect for the trainer but day to day with us in leash a total jerk. May check out your site and think about making a trip up. We are in New Haven so not too far

I’m so late to this. It’s wild that Amazon went in this direction. There is so much they could have advertised product wise for the benefit towards dog owners. Like you said the crate should have lead to crate training. Ordering a new leash/ collar could have lead to walking more. Ordering a treat pouch could have lead to training. Ordering enrichment puzzles and so forth. There is so much they could have done that would have been beneficial for them and also dog owners. The solution to the issues that family was having was not getting another dog smh

my prong collar moves out of position. what can i do? If I take out a prong it will be too tight

My dog leaves our building and does the same thing after a quick pee. But if I get her to my car, she jumps right in and will be excited for wherever I take her. She’ll play all day at the park. But those short walks in our neighborhood is a no go for her

The best $120. I spent was on a really good crate for our dog. Got her at 8 weeks, now she is 1 year and loves her crate. It is her safe place. It is where she can sleep and feel secure. She can sleep and so can we. Counter surfing - she is opportunistic and we have to be on alert but because we have never fed her off our plate or the counter we can eat in peace. She has a lot of room for improvement behavioral, like when people come to the house, but over all she is a great dog. Getting another dog to 'entertain' her is NOT the solution. Double trouble is what I foresee.
