  • Uric acid is a waste product that forms when your body breaks down purines, which are chemicals found in some foods and drinks. High levels of uric acid can cause gout, a painful condition that affects your joints, and kidney stones, hard deposits that form in your urinary tract. To lower your uric acid levels, you need to avoid foods that are high in purines, such as red meat, organ meats, seafood, alcohol, and sugary drinks. But what foods can you eat to help reduce uric acid? In this video, we will show you 8 foods that can help you lower your uric acid levels naturally.

    No alcohol, shellfish, high fructose corn syrup, red meat, asparagas, spinach, cauliflower, most fish except for Salmon.
    According to the USDA database, wild salmon contains lower total purine (188) relative to most commercial fish species.
    Good: 500mg vitamin C per day, broccoli, cherries, skinless chicken breast, nuts, coffee, green tea, etc.

      @brandonchan6004 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You still can enjoy vegetables like asparagas, spinach etc. by blanching them to get rid of parts of purine & oxalate, after all, the nutrients in these vegetables overweight purine & oxalate in them. ps, Purine in vegetables are "friendlier" to your body than those in meats & seafoods. Bon Appetit.

    • @RetrieverTrainingAlone
      @RetrieverTrainingAlone 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@brandonchan6004 Not really. When food with high levels of purines is cooked, the component that contains the purines (nucleic acids) breaks down. This frees up the purines for easier absorption and increase this risk of gout.
      However, one manner of cooking appears to have the opposite effect. If food is boiled in water the same process occurs with purines being freed up. The difference, however, is that a significant percentage of purines are lost in the water if it is discarded.
      In other words, the effects of cooking on purines is one important factor to consider but what happens to the purines after the cooking process is perhaps more important - if the purines are lost rather than consumed.
      Thus, all other things being equal, we will absorb more purines if we eat cooked food than when eating it raw. However, if it is boiled, and the water discarded, the food will have a lower concentration of purines than if eaten uncooked.

My diet is carnivore. Almost entirely a single meal a day of a fatty red steak. Never tired, never hungry, lost 70lbs so far, no longer t2 diabetic, mental and physical health almost magical. I dont know what else to say, but most info on nutrition is apparently wrong.

      Drink a mixture of 1 teaspoon baking in 12 ounce of water once a day for 7 days straight. Make sure you drink lots of water after that, daily. That will dissolve any solidified uric acid and will help your kidneys expel uric acid.
      After that, drink 1 teaspoon mixture of baking soda and water once a week for uric acid maintenance.
      That's an old remedy that long forgotten and actually gas a very scientific explanation. Baking soda is a buffer that neutralizes acid.
      Don't take my word for it, do some research about it. Uric acid increases in our bodies because our body's ph level becomes acidic, and baking soda returns it to homeostasis. I used to get frequent gout attacks. With baking soda maintenance, I am gout free, been gout free for over 15 years.

Sugar, carbs etc. The red meat is a great source of nutrients and protein. I live on one fatty red steak a day, sometimes an egg or a little yoghurt, and im never hungry, never tired. Ive lost 70lbs in 8mths, and cured every chronic illness I had from arthritis to cardiovascular disease. I know it's odd, and nobody is more surprised than me.
